Lancashire Cat ClubMr Craig DrydenThanks must go to Chris Titterington for inviting me to this show and of course the exhibitors for entering their lovely cats for me to see, its such a privilege to get to see them all close up, thanks also to Ross Davies who came to steward for me, I hope you enjoyed your day as much as I did. I look forward to the next time Tabby Point Kitten (MALE) 1 entry1st BOB Toghar by Design 32/3 Male– 12/10/08Handsome Baby and quite stylish showing lots of promise for the future, Longer wedge head set with large ears that on occasion he held a tad high for my taste, profile almost straight showing tiny dip firm chin and level bite, when I handled him he was favouring the right eye as if he had rubbed it against the pen it looked far better later the eyes were a good colour and shape and a very tiny bit deep set long toned muscular body with long well ringed tail huge paws and long legs showing bracelets, his chocolate tabby points showed nice warmth a were clearly defined with clear scarab and facial tracings developing and thumb prints gorgeous coat of really short length and unblemished and close lying a lovely boy beautifully presented Tabby Point Kitten (Female) 2 Entries 1 Absent1st Grainger’s Wandering Thatcher’s Gold 32/3 07/11/08Pretty Lady of very good type, Medium balanced wedge set with large ears well spaced that Ideally could be larger, displaying a slight pinch at present (teething), slight dip in profile and also a slight dip above the brow line firm chin and level bite with good eye colour that on occasions she can hold them slightly wide but when relaxed the shape was much improved. Long strong body well grown for age and muscular, long legs and dainty paws with leg bracelets developing long well ringed tail displaying an unusual dorsal strip along the top of the tail. Chocolate tabby points traced in a slightly cool chocolate clear M and thumb prints with whisker spots and cheek ribbons also developing. A sweet young lady with an endearing temperament. Tortie Point Kitten (Female) 1 entryBOB W/H 1st Mason’s Epitome Pachamama 32B8 - Female – 09/07/08Pretty girl of good type, looking a bit unbalanced today shorter wedge head set with large ears that could show more flare slight dip on profile slightly shallow chin and nose overshoots this although the bite is level , slightly straight set eyes that could ideally be a deeper colour and again at times should could hold these a smidge full when she relaxed these did look better, long strong muscular body with long elegant limbs and long whip tail to balance , Her points were a curious mix of caramel tortie with heavy tabby markings evident , her tail had wide classic banding in a lilac based caramel showing a little apricot breaking though the remainder of her points all were well broken with a good taupey tone dispersed with varying shades of apricot there were noticeable cheek ribbons and leg bars also .I felt is was harsh to wrong pattern her at this stage and this coupled without not knowing what her breeding was like, I felt that today the combination of the eye colour and shape , and her unbalanced look together with the colour issues that I could not award the BOB, it will be interesting to see how she, develops, I loved her typical tortie attitude she was a bossy madam. Well presented Breeders Adult1st Ch Plezetobe PureandSimple 24N Female 18/04/07Mature and quite stylish lady of excellent size and substance medium length head with large ears that ideally could have a bit more width between as she at times can hold them a bit high , straight profile with firm chin and level bite gorgeous eyes of excellent deep blue with lovely oriental shape and setting, long deep body well toned and of excellent size long elegant paws long whipped tail to balance lilac based caramel points with good taupe tones evident would prefer these to be more evident considering her age, super close lying coat of super texture a lovely lady much better out of the pen and a lovely happy temperament. 2nd Davies Burnthwaites Dancing Queen 24C Female 19/05/08Young lady petite as yet but she is not long adult medium, length wedge head that ideally needs more depth for balance very good top of head with large ears that could have more width at base slight dip in profile and slightly shallow chin lovely eye colour of good shape if somewhat small ,very long elegant body stands very tall on high legs with tiny dainty paws, darkish lilac points that require more pinkish tones good texture coat slightly long overall a pretty girl in excellent condition needing to mature and settle. 3rd Harveys Ch Adviam Pinup Poppy 32/1 Female 19/11/05On first glance this girl looked to be my winner, an attractive female of very good type looking mature and well balanced medium wedge head with good width at top and large well set ears straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Lovely expressive eyes of good blue and lovely shape and setting, long body slightly plump, she has a large pink bald area on the back on her neck with various smaller scratches on her torso and one on her ear! I think she has had amorous attention; I later spoke to her owner who confirmed she had a little altercation with a neuter! Dark seal tabby points dramatically traced with clear M and double ribbons with well ringed tail and leg bars, clear thumb prints also, Sweet temperament sadly it is a beauty contest and her condition was taken into consideration when placing these girls 4th Fosters Bosskip Lottie 24A Female 27/01/08Medium wedge head with medium sized ears really needing to be bigger and have more width between showing slight pinch to muzzle at present straight profile and scissor over bite (marginal) Gorgeous deep blue eyes of very good shape and set elegant limbs and feet and long whip tail, slightly portly body really requiring more tone for a young queen (maybe she has had babies recently) this did rather spoil the balance, Very dark blue points with slight brownish tones on hocks and behind ears her coat was a warm cream rather than preferred glacial! In the available light. This was also fairly shaded with a brownish cast spoiling the desired cold look! The texture for me was dry and quite open, a sweet lady well presented. AC Siamese / Balinese adult not bred by Exh1st Underhill’s Adateam Antaeus 24 Male 10/05/08Handsome lad of Very Good overall type imposing size and substance, longer wedge head with very wide top showing good flare to his large wells set ears straight profile and firm chin with level bite. Eyes were of a mid blue and needed to be darker blue for a seal, they were of excellent shape and set huge long elegant body very muscular and toned very long legs with large feet long whipped tail to balance his coat was a cool toned cream showing some tonal shading and ideally could show more warmth, the points were dark and again colder than preferred. Very much the young male and was very aware of his surroundings but a complete sweet heart really. 2nd Schole’s Scotmar Isntshe Something 24C Female 09/04/07Pretty Lady of good type with medium balanced wedge Large ears ideally need more flare and width to complete the look slight dip in profile with slightly overshot bite slightly full eyes of very good colour and setting long elegant muscular body with long limbs and fine paws long whip tail to balance very dark cool toned lilac fairly well matched apart from the tail which was darker still in the available light in the hall, slight shading in tone mainly on hips, good short coat of excellent texture, just coming into season! Sweet girl shame about the bite. Breeders Kitten1st Hirst’s Toghar by Design 32/3 Male2nd Jone’s Saramese Goodluck Charm 24c F16/08/08Stylish Girl of Very good type bit fine as yet for 7 months Medium wedge head with slight pinch at muzzle, very good top with large well set ears, straight profile with firm chin and level bite slightly straight set eyes of medium blue I would prefer to see this marginally deeper, very long elegant body with long limbs and whip tail to balance, darkish lilac points well matched with some pink tones evident, gorgeous coat of excellent texture, a pleasing girl of good type who just needs a growth spurt, presented beautifully. 3rd Linklater’s Plezetobe Primanproper 24 Female 03/12/08Sweet baby and the youngest in the class by 4 months so just a wee babe compared to the more mature kittens above shorter wedge head with large ears requiring more width and flare, undulating baby profile with a dip at brow level and on the nose also firm chin and level bite good oriental eyes of correct set and of very good colour long body for a wee baby with long legs and huge feet she is going to be big when she grows on, long whipped tail, muddy coat yet to clear with dark warm seal brown points all well matched and developing well slightly fluffy kitten coat, extremely laid back young lady with charming personality that I enjoyed having a cuddle with, beautifully presented. AC Siamese/ Balinese Junior Neuter1st Howard and Hanby’s Pr Amarrichi Priceless Prince 24 Male NeuterLovely mature lad of very good overall type longer wedge head with very wide top, needs much bigger ears for balance strong straight profile chin slopes back slightly lovely eyes for expression shape and set and of a lovely deep vivid blue long elegant body with long limbs and long fine tail lovely warm seal brown points fairly well matched with excellent definition and contrast overall a handsome boy with a lovely temperament in tip top condition 2nd Webb’s Pippastro Bolshoi 61N Male NeuterHuge shy boy of very good type if somewhat course as yet, Medium wedge that when viewed in profile was strong and stylish with a straight profile firm chin and nice deep wedge good top and large ears that generally need more flare full eyes that for me were too pale for the standard and really need to be much darker long strong muscular body, Huge feet and long rather chunky legs (that I personally find very attractive) but not ideally suited the Balinese standard, tail requires an inch for balance, coat wise this boy is very good with good length along the torso with fringing, limbs also with ear fronds and streamers and a fairly well established plume that will develop with age, the texture it must be said was exquisite and was unshaded and perfectly flowing but felt like gossamer . A super boy shame about the eye colour. Superb presentation. 3rd Webster’s Nanpema Red Rumba 32A Male NeuterRather a grouch today and did not want to show himself but soon relaxed after some coaxing Strong boy of good type looking somewhat narrow across the top of at the moment and I would like his ears a shade larger for better balance slight dip in profile, chin could be firmer, good eye shape of acceptable blue, long firm muscular body with long whip tail to balance, slightly muted red points fairly well match and defined, I would prefer more vibrancy smooth coat slightly dry to the touch, A young boy needing to mature and pull together. In lovely condition well presented. AC Siamese / Balinese Senior Neuter1st Webb’s UK GR Pr Aprikat Smart Cookie 61BT Male NeuterSenior Boy of very good type and style, still showing the youngsters a thing or two, medium wedge head showing slight dip (age related) now good top of head with large well set ears that really need to be a bit bigger (again this is age related ) Bite appeared level with some teeth missing. Long strong muscular body with good muscle tone and lovely clear coat, His coat was of excellent length and was of a lovely texture, he had excellent fringes and the main torso had excellent flow to the coat as well as having ear fronds and a well furnished plume his tail needs about ½ inch for overall balance this was well ringed when shaken out, his other points showed good clarity and definition in a dark but warm chocolate tabby with facial ribbons and thumb prints and leg bracelets all well defined, I believe from his owner that he had been made up to Imperial on the day well deserved and many congratulations. 2nd Webster’s Pr Stenic Rikki TIkki Tarvi 32C 11/11/06What a lovely nature this boy has, Medium wedge with wide top and large well set ears, slight scoop to profile almost a retrousse profile, slightly shallow chin bite level, good eye shape of good expression and colour, long muscular body long elegant limbs and long tail, his points colour was a sticking point with me! I found them to be too dark for the standard and also showed a fair degree of warmth with a matt blush overtone this for me would signify Apricot and had he been entered as such would have had no issue, however on reflection with the available light, I felt it was harsh to wrong colour him as it was very difficult to see if it was the light playing tricks on the colour or the actual points colour, he had an excellent texture to his coat which was a good length and presented in lovely condition. 3rd Cousins Pr Rendzina Bond JamesBond 24B 13/09/06 On First Glance this boy is very elegant with Super type and style, slightly overlong wedge with a bit of a muzzle pinch, straight profile with firm chin and level bite very large wide set flared ears lovely dark blue eyes of excellent expression and oriental setting long muscular body with prominent xphisternum evident today, long elegant limbs and dainty paws, long whip tail to balance with a slight deviation at base, his points were a very dark chocolate with a little warmth evident but the overall impression was more plain than the milk chocolate desired by the standard, he had a lovely snooty expression but was charming and friendly and presented beautifully. A/C Siamese/ Balinese Neuter (Lancashire Cat Club Class)1st Thorpe’s Gr Pr Reudenza Razzle Dazzle 32/1 Male NeuterI have long admired this cat; I love his imperious look and charming temperament, Longer wedge head that is for me a smidge narrow at top, Long elegant muscular body with long limbs and long ringed tail to balance. Dramatic seal tabby markings with lovely facial ribbons, thumb prints and leg bars, he has some contrast visible but he is more heavily shaded than I would prefer but you cant have it all! Lovely eyes of excellent expression that are of a good blue, a handsome stylish boy with a sweet temperament. Presented beautifully. 2nd Thorpe’s Gr Pr Johpas Sunny-Jim 32A Male NeuterAnother Handsome lad of Excellent type, bit of a grump but overall his stablemates’ style and presence won the day, Longer wedge head with large ears well set, eyes of mid blue- would prefer them a touch darker for perfection, firm chin and level bite, long elegant muscular body with long limbs, very good bright red points colour with lovely definition and well developed. Handsome Boy well presented. 3 Webster’s Pippastro Bolshoi 61N Male Neuter
