Craig Dryden Midland Counties Cat Club

Firstly I would like to thank Jean Huyton the Show manager for the Invitation it was my first invitation to this show and it was hugely enjoyable and the team were all so friendly all ran like clock work and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I had some lovely exhibits and was particularly pleased to be asked to judge Best in Show Siamese Neuter to whom I awarded it to Gr Pr Kamik Firecaracka an extremely stylish and handsome Red Point, he was closely contested by the Caramel Tabby Point Pr Mafdet McArthur. Thank you to the exhibitors.

Blue Point Female Adult

CC W/H 1st Cousins Owaissa Whimsical Mist 24a 09.12.07

Extremely shy lady who looked rather immature for her age. Shorter wedge with slight dip to profile with small pinch and large ears that she would insist on holding flat with nerves when she was returned to her pen they appeared to be of a reasonable setting although they ideally could be larger. Rather full eyes of an acceptable blue but again with nerves she would insist on holding these wide. Tightly coiled body with good muscle tone rather dainty in general with spoon paws and slender limbs. She is an elegant lady but the overall impression was that she was rather immature for her age she did however have well matched mid blue points and showed good cool toned coat. Her tail was whipped and requires and inch for balance. I was sorry to withhold as I explained to her owner and breeder but I felt that on the day she was just short of the standard required for the CC.

1st BOB Meek’s Johpas Minstrel 24B 30.09.09

What a joy it was to arrive at this young mans pen! He is of Superb type and style and so well grown for his age at 7 months he is bigger that most adults. Longer wedge with beautiful lines long Romanesque profile with super wide at base ears set widely angled. Gorgeous oriental eyes in a deep blue with super expression, he has a true snooty look that belies his soppy nature. I would prefer a slightly stronger chin but that is really nit picking, lovely clean bite. Long elegant neckline with huge long muscular body with super tone and development. He has super short coat with lovely texture in a warm cream. His chocolate points were dark but did show warmth and were very well matched. He has huge paws still to grow into with long limbs and whip tail to balance. He is a complete showman and I thoroughly enjoyed handling him and look forward to seeing him again soon Congratulations on Best Siamese Exhibit.

Cream Point Siamese Kitten Female

1st BOB Sidnell’s Mylynn Marissa 32C F 27.11.09

Attractive young miss of very good type looking a shade dainty for her age. Medium wedge with tiny pinch as yet with large well set ears, almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Oriental eyes of medium blue just needing a bit more depth of tone for me. Long slender body with good muscle tone just needing a bit more length and size at this stage. Lovely long dainty limbs with super tiny paws and long whip to balance. Her points were a darker cream at present and did show rather more definition than I would prefer at this stage but at 5 months I felt it was unfair to wrong colour her and I do feel that in the light that was evident it was hard on the paler colours as it was either direct sunlight or rather orange sports hall which is most unforgiving and on the whole I felt she was very much borderline colour wise and felt it best to leave her for the time being. Pretty lady in super condition. I shall be interested to see her in the future.

1st White’s Shawstar Queenofhearts 32/10 F

Pretty lady of Good overall type, medium wedge with large well set ears just needing a smidge more flare, almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Rather full eyes needing more depth of colour .Apricot tabby points rather needing more definition at this age and needing a more burnished tone for 12 months all well matched with visible tabby markings .Clear leg bars and M with single ribbons and just enough tail rings. Well presented.

2nd Freeman’s Solarus Maillot Jeune 37F M

Rather Effete young man albeit of 9 months old but looking like a large kitten. Rather long wedge needing more width at the top for balance and needing a stronger muzzle to display more masculinity. Profile is not quite straight and chin ideally could be deeper, he does have a level bite. His eyes were of an oriental shape and set but were a very pale yellow toned green and really need to be far deeper in colour and a more definite green. Long elegant body needing to bulk up slightly for his age and long elegant limbs and whip tail to balance. Rather hot sandy toned coat showing some vestigial tabby markings. I did query his colour but when I was judging him the light in the hall was particularly bright orange and I felt it was unfair to wrong colour him and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I would like to see him in proper lighting, His coat was a super texture and he was well presented and with a lovely nature.

AV Junior Cat 1st Debowska’s Chapelrose Cinderella 37 F

Super stylish young lady very full over own self importance and rightly so. She is now 11 months old and again very fine boned for her age. Flashy wedge of medium length with large wide angled flare ears with good width at base. Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Gorgeous bright green eyes of super oriental shape and set contrasting so well with her jet black coat that is very sound to the root and although of a good texture is a mite long for perfection. Long elegant neckline which she uses to her great advantage and long well toned body. Very fine limbs and long whip tail to balance. A super lady with a wonderful personality. Congratulations on Best Oriental Adult.

1st Stork’s Wiccanways Winter Solstice 32A F

Attractive lady of lovely size and substance well balanced Medium wedge with large ears needing more flare but in proportion nonetheless Rather straight set eyes of an acceptable blue rather needing more expression. Small pinch and level bite and firmish chin. Long muscular body with long limbs and whip tail that needs an inch for balance. Red points of a paler red all quite well matched and showing tabby markings .

1st Rigby’s Simplisiam Sumalove 24B F

What language for such a young lady, Quite stylish wit a medium wedge head with sadly a noticeable depression above the eyes at present and although she is young needs to lose this as she matures. Firm chin and level bite. Oriental eyes of good expression and colour. Long elegant neck with darker but warm chocolate points well matched ever so slightly paler on her front legs. Long taut muscular body with dainty paws and long whip tail to balance. Pretty lady of good type needing to curb her temper.

Tabby Point Cat

1st Atkinsons Winnothdale Jive Talkin 32/1 F

Quite stylish lady of lovely size for her age, longer wedge with large well set ears with good width between, almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Oriental eyes of an acceptable blue but ideally needing more depth of colour especially for a seal tabby. Long well toned body with long whip tail, dark seal tabby markings with clear M and thumb prints with leg bars and adequate tail rings. Quite heavily shaded coat showing warmth and still contrast is seen. Rather fidgety lady of very good type presented beautifully

2nd Sidnell’s Babadag Stripe Pyjamas 32/1 M

A sweet boy of good type needing to mature and looking rather girly for his 12 months, he has a shorter wedge with large well set ears, almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Rather fine in the muzzle which does define his rather immature look. Rather dominant eyes of a good colour but needing more expression. He is weighty and muscular and he was presented beautifully with a short well groomed coat of good texture. Seeal tabby points well developed and matched with clear m and leg bars and facial ribbons with ringed tail. A Happy boy well presented.

Tiny little poppet of good type and attractive colouring. Shorter wedge with large ears of good set oriental eyes of a muddy green developing well, almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Short kitten coat well mingled with varying shades of red on a dense black, attractive facial blaze and sweet temperament.

Attractive young boy of very good type Medium wedge with large ears needing a shade more width between. Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Dark warm seal brown points well dispersed with white he shows just more than the minimum 30% white to colour. He displays white on his face with almost a cross across his face, white on his neck under his chin and through his front legs across his stomach right back through to his back legs and groin, with white appearing an his front legs mainly on the inside but all the way up to his elbow and his front paws and on his back legs up to his hock, he also displays white on his outer thighs and small patches on his lower back and shoulders with some on his ears and his neck. Attractive light seal shading highlighting his white areas across his back. Oriental eyes of a good blue showing good expression long muscular body with long limbs and whip tail to balance. Attractive boy of good type.

Seal or Blue Kitten

1st Gillens Owaissa Master Caftsman 24 M

Sweet boy of average type, medium wedge needing more width at top to balance. Largish ears that could be larger again for balance. Oriental eyes rather too pale for the standard. Dark Seal brown points a bit cool in tone and against his rather cool toned coat appeared a bit black and white. Long muscular body well grown with long limbs and tail to balance.

Tabby Point Kitten

1st Jones’s Lusitania Minxymadam 32/2 F

Sweet lady of rather average type medium wedge with ears that need to be larger and set further apart. Full eyes of pale blue needing to be much darker in tone for the standard. Firm little body with long limbs and whip tail to balance. Mid blue tabby points with clear m and bracelets and facial ribbons with adequate tail rings sweet lady well grown and presented.

1st Smouts Gr Pr Kamik Firecracka 32a MN

Flashy handsome boy looking mature and finished now. Super Longer wedge with wide top and large well flared ears gorgeous eyes of super inscrutable expression with wonderful haughty look. Long straight profile with level bite and firm chin Long elegant body with long elegant limbs and whip tail to balance. Bright red points well developed and matched with super contrast against the pale coat that was a touch open. I later had the pleasure in awarding him BOV Siamese Neter well deserved

2nd Gourley and Wards Pr Dazzling Ben Hur 24 MN

Huge stylish boy with a very stylish head but oh so grumpy Medium wedge with straight profile and firm chin and level bite. Very large flared ears set well on his head with good width at the base. Long muscular body with long limbs and whip tail to balance. Very dark seal points showing some warmth with some contrast visible to his very shaded coat that was shiny in super condition.

Huge stylish young man of super type and style with a lovely look and super coat texture. Longer wedge with large flared well set ears. Long straight profile with firm chin and level bite oriental eyes a shade deep set of a good colour and expression. Long muscular body well grown with long limbs and tail with a super coat texture.

2nd Emmens Gr Pr Johpas Jacksparrow 32c MN

Shy Gentleman of very good overall type looking good today and with a gentle personality. Medium wedge with large well set ears almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Darker cream points well developed and matched. Long lody with long limbs and whip tail with lightly shaded coat of good texture slightly woolly in texture.

3rd Meeks Pr Jomese Justlook atme 24B MN

Attractive boy of very good overall type with medium wedge and large well set ears super eyes for colour and shape with super expression small pinch. Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Long muscular body with long limbs and whip tail. Very dark chocolate points showing some warmth and with a warm clear coat showing good contrast. Handsome boy presented well.

Very shy gent of good type with rather an unbalanced look, longer wedge needing more width at top with large ears needing more flare, rather full eyes needing more depth of colour dark warm chocolate points fairly patchy. Slightly long coat slightly shaded in tone. :ong muscular body with long limbs and whip to balance

Very stylish young man of super type and style looking much more grown up now than when I last saw him, Medium wedge with large wide set flared ears with almost straight profile and firm chin and level bite. Super oriental eyes of lovely expression and colour. Long muscular body with very long limbs and whip tail to balance. Lilac based caramel tabby points well matched and traced with clear m and facial ribbons and super bracelets and tail rings. A stylish boy who ran the red boy very close for BOV.
