Craig Dryden Trans Penine Oriental and Siamese CC 5th Dec 2009

Thank you to Joan and Barry and the Committee especially Norma Palmer for calling me in and making me feel so welcome, I had a lovely day with lovely cats and the show was so friendly and happy. Thank you so much to Richard Lord for stewarding I enjoyed your company and expertise in handling the cats and look forward to the next time.

A/C Siamese /Balinese Non Breeders Adult Male

1st Mullens Ch Foxypaws Ericcson 32FN M 01/06/08

Mature and Handsome Boy a shade on his toes today but perfectly easy to handle just very aware of his surroundings. Longer wedge with good top and large well set ears, Eyes of a good blue but as I have said before rather straight and give him a slightly un oriental look. Lovely condition and gorgeous ermine like coat that fits like a glove. Hard muscular long body with elegant limbs and long tail to balance. Dusky apricot points looking matte and well developed today and well matched. Super coat texture and of a clear cream Super condition.

2nd Ellis Meilland Mister Finley 24 M 02/03/09

Handsome Young man just adult and already very muscular, longer wedge with wide top and large well set ears, slight dip to profile with firm chin and level bite. Eyes of a mid blue that could do with more depth of colour for a seal and he did show an intermittent squint. Slightly patchy seal brown points that were a warm seal brown and a tight fitting coat that was quite shaded for his age. It was nonetheless a lovely texture. Long whip tail to balance, A handsome man maturing nicely.

3rd Linklaters Shadowsquad Diesel 24 M 23.01.09

Although older than the previous boy he was not as masculine or well developed for his age. He was in super condition and had a lovely temperament. Good overall type with a medium wedge shaped head showing a slight pinch and dip to profile with and slightly flat above the brow line with oriental eyes that ideally could have been deeper in colour, he did hold them slightly full out of the pen but these were better when back in. Large ears that were well placed that ideally could have had more flare.Well developed dark warm seal brown points with a warm beige coat of a lovely texture and again slightly shady for age and a smidge long. Sweet temperament and lovely condition

A Super Class of Lovely ladies A Close Run thing.

1st Brocks Gr Ch Karamushi Tutti Fruity 32B1 04/08/07

Mature and Stylish lady looking very composed and relaxed today super type with medium wedge with wide top and set with large flared ears with good width between, straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Long muscular substantial body with elegant limbs and whip tail to balance. Dark seal tortie points that ideally could do with more red evident but she is nonetheless attractive with dark blue eyes of good shape and setting. Shaded coat with contrast still evident and of a lovely texture. A super lady of quality and well deserving her Best Siamese Adult award.

2nd Green's Imp Gr Ch Mapu Allegra 24N 30.10.04

Another super stylish lady who always looks much better out of the pen. She has a lovely head and profile and is supremely elegant with a noble look but today the combination of style and substance won over her but she is nonetheless a stylish lass I really had to split hairs. Longer wedge with lovely profile with level bite and slightly shallow chin. Long elegant body with long neck she uses to her advantage when out of the pen. Lovely eyes for colour and expression and super shape. Textbook points colour with super sludgy taupe tone and no mistaking her colour super density to the colour and all very well matched with super off white coat almost unshaded that was a shade long and a bit dry. Long whip tail to balance with long elegant limbs.

X2 Evans Billstes Gypsy Moth 32T3 F 10/11/08

Youngster of super promise oh how I wish she had more self belief as she is lovely but is not yet aware of her charms and is very shy. Very pretty young lady with medium wedge and straight profile with firm chin and level bite if I was to be hypercritical she is a tiny bit fine in the muzzle. Large flared ears showing good flare and set well following the lines of her head. Eyes of super colour and expression that she holds wide they are much better when she relaxes. Super chocolate tortie tabby points well matched chocolate showing signs of breaking and varying shades of red on all points and showing leg bars and broken tail rings with M and thumb prints. Gorgeous coat for texture and length and super presentation and condition just needing to gain some confidence.

3 Davies Johpas Ruby Tallulah 32A F 12.02.09

Another attractive youngster of super type and style with medium wedge and large well flared ears. Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Oriental eyes that I would have preferred a deeper colour. Paler red points well matched that ideally could show more intensity but she is young and probably seal based. Coat of off white but a smidge long today and in a class of this quality when I was having to split hair it counted. Presented beautifully and with a lovely temperament.

X3 Davies Billstes MadamCin 32B7 F 12.02.09

Attractive lady just needing to grow on a bit to compete in a class of this quality but she is promising and displayed very good overall type with large ears that I would prefer with a bit more flare lovely eyes for expression and of a good colour. Bright spicy cinnamon tortie points all well marked and broken with varying shades of red . Clear coat of super texture with long elegant body and long limbs. A Promising girl

AV 3-5 Months Kitten

1st Brownrigg's Chapelrose Holy Moses 32FN M 25.06.09

Attractive stylish person of very good overall type very large well set ears with good top on a medium wedge with slight pinch at present , Oriental eyes of good colour that show an intermittent squint at present probably teething. Very long well grown elegant body with long limbs and whip tail to balance. Attractive matte tone apricot points with good blush colour appearing all well matched and developing well. Super purry temperament and lovely condition just didnt want to go back in his pen.

2nd Ness and Nicholsons Simplisiam Slap N Tickle 24B M 27/07/09

Huge baby for his and super condition. Huge ears very wide at base that he can bonnet. Rather small deep set eyes that lacked oriental setting and therefore rather spoiled the expression. These were of a good blue. Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Slightly dark chocolate points all well developed showing some warmth. Long body and long limbs and whip tail to balance.

3rd Graingers Wandering Lightly Kightly 24 M 01/08/09

Sweet baby of good type with medium wedge head needing more width at the top large ears needing a bit more flare. Eyes of super colour and shape with oriental setting. Slight dip to profile with level bite and slightly stepped back chin. Dark seal brown points that showed warmth and were well matched. Slightly cool toned coat of super texture . Lovely condition and temperament

1st Glaubits Littlefeat Distant Thunder 32A M 29/05/09

Gorgeous person of super type and style who stood out for me today. Lovely romanesque profile with very large flared well set ears firm chin and level bite. Lovely oriental eyes of super shape and colour. Long muscular body with long limbs and whip tail to balance. Red points developing well with good intensity just needing more brightness. Close lying coat of clear off white in super condition. A quality kitten showing super promise. Monorchid at present although I note he is to be neutered soon. Congratulations on Best Siamese Kitten.

2nd Hutching's Mafdet MaCarthur 32/8 M 22/04/09

Another stylish boy of super type, one month older but not quite he masculinity and presence of the winner. Medium wedge with wide top and super flare, oriental eyes of super expression and setting. Almost straight profile and slightly flat chin. Long body with long limbs and whip tail coat of good texture although a shade long. Composed boy looking good needing a shade more masculinity.

X2 Williams Roysterer Moody Blue 24A M 01.06.09

Attractive boy of lovely colouring and super temperament Strong medium head with good depth to skull and strong profile with firm chin and level bite, oriental eyes of good shape and set just needing more depth of colour for me. Long muscular body well covered and long elegant limbs and whip tail super mid blue points of super cool tone with glacial toned coat and only light shading in tone. An attractive boy of super colour and temperament.

3rd Sidnells Babadag Stripeypyjamas 32/1 M 06/05/09

Another attractive baby of good type medium wedge with large ears that ideally could have more flare, rather full eyes of good colour and expression when he relaxes. Very well grown body long and muscular , long limbs and long whip tail to balance. Dark seal tabby points all well traced and super leg bars and clear M and well ringed tail. Lightly shaded body in a warm beige coat of super texture. Sweet temperament.

1st Hudsons Shadowsquad Goingforgold 37K F 03/04/09

Stylish Girl of Super Oriental type and style. With a super temperament. Long elegant girl with medium wedge a trifle square in muzzle at times but overall a pleasing looking lovely eyes for colour and oreintal shape and expression. Super lithe elegant body with long limbs and whip tail to balance. Even warm spicy cinnamon coat showing some superficial tabby markings on torso but these were minimal and on the whole her coat was sound and of a rich colour. Attractive girl.

2nd Clarke's Foxypaws Champaynfizz 32/1 FN 20/04/09

Pretty lady of good type shorter wedge with good top set with large ears needing a smidge more width at the top.Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite slightly fine in muzzle Pretty eyes of good colour and shape, dark seal tabby points slightly cool in tone. All well traced with good M and leg bars and clear tail rings and thumb prints, Attractive lady with sweet temperament.

3rd Gillen's Owaissa Spirit of theMist 24A F 14/05/09

Large substantial lady of good type in super condition, very dark blue points with a shorter head with large ears that ideally need more flare and width at the base, slight dip to profile with firm chin and slightly shallow chin. Blue eyes of good expression and shape Long muscular body with smooth coat that was slightly shaded for age and the overall impression was not cool and there were brown tones to her shading.In the available light it was difficult to Sweet lady in sparkling condition

1st Hudsons Chapelrose Pharoah 37D M 25/06/09

Super stylish boy of lovely type and style looking a shade effeminate at this stage but he has plenty of time on his side. Medium wedge with almost straight profile and firm chin with level bite. Very long slender body with long limbs and spoon paws. Whip tail to balance. Bright red coat of super richness but quite heavily patterned with visible spots on torso and clear spine line evident with tail rings and M, the base colour shows a little too much contrast to the red main colour and this would concern me at this stage and although the standard does not penalise too heavily in a kitten of this age and it will be interesting to see how he develops. Lovely condition and coat texture nonetheless super eyes for shape and a good clear green. Attractive boy.

3rd Clarkes Foxypaws Clovis 24N F 12.04.09

Balanced lady of good overall type with attractive expression, medium wedge with large ears set well on head oriental eyes of good shape and set and good colour. Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite long body with gorgeous coat of super texture and colour. Attractive lilac based caramel points of super colour with good taupe tones developing and all very even and well matched.

1st Smouts Pr Kamik Firecracka 32A MN 18.07.08

Gorgeous young man with a lovely look and expression just a smidge fine for a boy. Super Length head with very large wide set ears with super width at base lovely strong profile with lovely oriental eyes of super colour and expression. Long muscular body of good weight and whip tail to balance. Long limbs and dainty paws bright red points of good clarity and richness with clear off white coat of good texture. Lovely boy with super style just my cup of tea.

2nd Lords Pr Druidsway Black Panther 37 MN 07/05/08

Very attractive boy of super type and style and lovely look with super eye colour and expression and the most beautifully groomed black coat of super sound quality and shiny like patent leather. Medium wedge with dip to profile with firm chin and level bite. Super long muscular body and long limbs and whip tail to balance. Very stylish boy, I liked him immensely.

3rd Goddards Pr Mylynn Sweet Pea 62 43s FN 05.09.08

Attractive lady of Very good overall type and style shorter head with large ears well set with good width between almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite, oriental eyes of rather a pale lemony green, coat of good length with good plume and fringing evident on body and legs with ear streamers and silky flow to the coat, the pattern was fairly well shaded with clear silver pushing well up the hair shaft and the black tips giving minimal tabby markings and what there was was well diffused by the good length coat. The coat was a soft fine silky texture and was well groomed Attractive lady well shown in lovely condition

Fast becoming a favourite and unlucky to be up against the above pair, Stylish boy of super type with the most endearing temperament Longer wedge with almost straight profile and level bite slightly shallow chin, super sludgy taupe toned lilac based caramel points well developed and matched with a super texture coat long limbs and whip tail to balance.

1st Hinchcliffe's Gr Pr Mylynn Mumbo Jumbo 62 36 MN 25/01/08

Stylish Mature boy looking very good today with an inscrutable expression and medium wedge with large wide set flared ears balancing wedge. Almost straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Oriental eyes of super shape and expression and lovely bright green. Long muscular body with long limbs and long well furnished plume. Black smoke coat of excellent length across his body with ear tufts and tufted paws together with leg furnishings, silky and flowing texture looking almost black from a distance and then with a clear white undercoat pushing up the hair shaft when separated. Lovely clown markings evident on face, a handsome boy with a super temperament and condition.

Quite a stylish lady of good type with a Medium balance wedge with large well set ears and super top with oriental eyes of good shape and set and good blue, slightly dark chocolate tabby points that show good warmth. They were well traced with clear M and thumb prints and leg bars and tail rings. Attractive warm lightly shaded coat of super texture. Pretty lady in super condition.
