Mr Craig Dryden
Thank you so much to Sarah and Kate for the invitation to this small but well run show I thoroughly enjoyed my Maiden Voyage and also thank Pina Bruno for steering me through the day making sure I relented and gave up trying to take over the trolley. Thank you to all concerned.
Blue Point Kitten (MALE) 1 entry
1st (BOB W/H) Robb’s RIVANESS BERTIE WOOSTER- 24a-Male– 10/03/08
Large elegant and stylish chap of wonderful size for just over 6 months. Long wedge head of excellent strength with large open based ears set well on his head. That on occasions he could hold these slightly high but they are much better when relaxed. Excellent straight, almost roman profile with firm chin and level bite. Eyes of excellent shape - although when I judged him he did have the tendency to open them a bit wide - and of a gorgeous, vivid blue. (I did go back later and he was far more relaxed and they were a much better oriental shape.), Excellent long elegant body extremely well grown with long limbs and huge feet, he is going to be a large lad when he grows up. Points colour was of a very dark, slatey blue - too dark for the standard and even when I took him to natural light it did not improve, there was also what appeared to be the start of brownish tones developing to the back of his ears and the underside of his paws. The pads where of a very dark purple tone, as was his nose leather. His coat was of an excellent texture and was very close lying but I could not see much evidence of glacial tones to this. His condition and temperament were superb and he seemed to enjoy his day. His colour was my reason for withholding the BOB.
Tabby Point Kitten (Female) 1 entry
1st BOB Brash’s RIVANESS MISS PRIZZY – 32/2 - Female – 10/03/08
This young lady was entered in my Judges book as a Lilac Tabby (32/4) but when I arrived at her pen she was clearly a Blue Tabby Point (32/2). I confirmed this with a Full Judge of the breed. Upon checking the entry form she was entered as a lilac tabby and I therefore had no choice but to “wrong colour” her. Later, I was informed by the Show Manager that she had indeed been re registered as a blue tabby and the owner had forgotten to change this earlier. The Show Manager asked if I would consider re judging the class and in light of this I duly did.
Dainty, fine boned young miss who was slightly nervous but soon relaxed with cuddle. She had a shorter wedge head of balanced length with a slight pinch; good top of head with well set large wide at base ears; straight profile; firm chin and level bite. Her nose leather was pink rimmed with blue. Her eye colour was of a bright blue but could ideally have had more depth to colour. Body type was slender and stylish with elegant limbs and dainty spoon feet. Her colour was of a mid to darker blue with cool toned tabby tracings with “M”, one and a half cheek ribbons and discernable thumb prints not often visible on dilutes, She shows bracelets on her legs and the tail is ringed for more than half its length, which was of a good length. Her coat texture was excellent though I would have preferred her coat shorter. Overall a pretty lady in excellent condition.

1st Shand’s GR CH ANDALYN AMADEUS -24- Seal Point Male - 04/06/06 Very imposing young man of excellent overall type. Strong, longer wedge head with very wide top and beautifully aligned ears. He had a Romanesque profile with firm chin, bite untidy but level. Eyes of excellent deep, navy blue and of lovely shape and set with an inscrutable expression. Body of somewhat diminutive proportions that I would ideally prefer to be more masculine but having said that he was heavy and in lovely condition. Long whipped tail to balance. His points are of a dark seal brown with a good deal of warmth. He is heavily shaded for his age and I would have preferred more contrast but this was evident and the shading was warm in tone. Coat texture is slightly dry but close lying and short. His pads and nose leather were seal brown. Overall a Stylish young man who I would prefer to ‘butch’ up just a bit more though at this age I understand this is not going to happen.
2nd Fraser’s GENETTA GLENISLA 24a Blue point Female 12/11/07 Petite and dainty youngster of good type. She has a short, broad wedge head somewhat dominated by her large rounded eyes - incorrect for the breed although of a lovely deep blue colour. Her ears need to be larger and have more flare but they did have good width between them. Her profile was straight and in profile she lacked depth to her wedge and could have had a deeper chin. She has a lithe body of excellent length and weight with elegant limbs and dainty oval paws and whip tail to balance. She is an excellent blue colour with soft muted cool toned points and glacial white coat with minimal tonal shading this was also of a super texture. She was in superb condition and presented beautifully.

1st Linton’s SIARUNG CINNAMON FIZZ – 32B7 – Cinnamon Tortie Point - 10/08/07 Dainty svelte young miss of good type. Medium length, slightly narrow wedge with a blunt muzzle; straight profile and firm chin with a scissor under bite. Eyes of lovely shape and set though marginally exaggerated which exacerbated her head width by making her look narrower than she actually is. Her ears are of an excellent size but set too close together and could ideally do with more width at base, Elegant body of nice length but I would like to see her larger overall for her age. Legs elegant and dainty with tiny little spoon feet, whip tail of excellent length, her points colour is lovely spicy cinnamon and all points show breaks with varying shades of paler red. Body colour of a lovely clear ivory tone free from shading. Overall a sweet inquisitive girl in superb condition and excellently presented.
2ND Campbell’s EMERPUS HIT FACTOR – 38b – Chocolate Oriental Spotted Tabby – Male – 18/12/07 Youngster of good type with medium wedge head ideally needing more width between large ears with good width at base. Straight profile with firm chin and a noticeably undershot bite that was also untidy. Eyes of good shape and set but of a yellowish green. Adolescent body needing to muscle up as yet needing to lengthen and firm up. Displaying fine limbs and feet and a good length, ringed tail with an invisible pip at the tip. Warm toned chocolate colour with a warm bronze ground showing double broken necklaces and M with lines running over his head down to a broken spine line, there were spots visible but many were linked. The extensive agouti invasion on the pattern rather spoilt the overall impression. The nose leather and pads were of a good chocolate, he had a couple of leg bars and his tail was well ringed with a solid coloured tip. A young boy let down by his bite, tail and pattern faults, presented in lovely condition.

Stylish medium length wedge head balanced by wide set large ears with lovely width at base. Straight profile and firm chin- he was very hesitant to let me check his bite, but we did and it was level. Huge, long, well covered, muscular body in excellent condition with long elegant legs and enormous feet, to grow into. Long tail to balance. Points colour well established in a bright reddish gold. The body is warm white and clear from shading, coat excellent and close lying in texture. All in all a promising boy of lovely type in exemplary condition very relaxed and composed on his throne bed.

Unplaced Shand’s PALMIRA SULAWEISI – 24B- Chocolate Point Female -15/02/08 Long stylish female of very good overall type. Long wedge head with very wide top with large, wide at base, ears. Profile shows a dip and there is a skull depression above the brow level. Nose overhangs the chin slightly although the chin is firm and bite is level. She has slightly small, straight set eyes of a lovely colour. Long, well muscled body with lovely short close coat long legs and dainty paws, tail of good length with visible excrescence at tip ;Body shows excellent tone of ivory colour without shading, the points colour is a dark, although warm chocolate - but too dark for the standard.her pads and nose leather were a dark pinkish chocolate. A stylish lady not with too many faults today and these precluded her being placed.

1st Spence’s PR SCOTMAR CLASSIE LASSIE – 24A – Blue Point Female Neuter – 09/04/07 Well balanced and neat young lady of good overall type. She has a short, broad wedge head with ears of good size, set well apart. Profile shows a slight dip; firm chin and level bite. Eyes of a bright vivid blue but even when relaxed were rather too open. Her body is of good length and well muscled with dainty legs and spoon feet. Tail could do with an extra inch to balance., Her points colour are of a mid blue paling only on her legs and paws and the tail was a darker tone. Her pads and nose leather were a blue colour. The coat is of an excellent texture showing shading but lacking the cold tone required. Excellent presentation and condition.

1st Rothwell’s Ch SIMPLISIAM STARTARUMOUR – 24A- Blue Point Female Neuter – 03/06/06 Large imposing lady of lovely type. Balanced, longer wedge head with wide top and lovely large flared ears. Straight profile with firm chin and untidy bite but basically level. Glorious cornflower blue eyes of super oriental shape and setting and lovely inscrutable expression. Long body slightly lacking elegance because of her extended waistline - but I cannot talk! Long proportionate legs and oval paws She is a big girl and I did have to look to make sure she was not a boy as she has a very strong almost masculine head. Long, balancing whip tail to balance with blue pads and nose leather, Points colour is a very dark blue although this was cold in tone and there is extensive cold-toned shading the texture was silky and well prepared perhaps a touch long. A Lovely regal lady of excellent type with a gorgeous look.
.2nd Linton’s Imp GR CH FIORDILISO APRIL SHOWERS – 32B7- Cinnamon Tortie Point Female Neuter – 01/04/04 Mature, serene lady of good type with a short broad wedge. Adequate top of head with ears of good size that are wide at base. Profile has a slight dip, chin could be firmer and level gums (no front teeth left). Lovely eyes of excellent oriental shape and good bright blue in colour. Long whip tail to balance with dainty spoon feet and elegant legs, firm muscular body of good length. Slightly long but close lying coat Very attractive points colour in a rich warm cinnamon all broken with varying shades of red with an attractive nasal blaze. Attractive ivory body colour, lightly shaded in tone with points, pinkish cinnamon pads and nose leather, A few grumbles but ordained to let me touch her and was far happier ensconced on her throne bed lovely presentation and condition.
3rd Boddy’s EMERPUS LUCIFER – 41B- Chocolate Oriental Classic Tabby Male Neuter – 06/06/06 Stately gentleman of good type. Strong broad head with good top. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes slightly full of a mid green set well oriental in shape well nourished body with strong legs and long tail to balance. Colour is a dark but warm chestnut pattern with a warmish bronze ground. Chin strap and necklaces The butterfly is evident but has slipped somewhat and a distinct lack of spots surrounding this; the oysters are there but again elongated and the although the pattern extends almost to roots it was somewhat overlaid in places invaded by agouti, fairly clear though the spine lines for me could be more distinct as they appear diffused; wide tail rings shows one broken necklace, pinkish brown pads and nose leather; Coat of excellent texture and well presented, although please cut his claws he is not keen on coming out to be handled and this makes life far more difficult as he insisted on clinging to the back of the pen.

Vannini’s CH Lacasa Stracciatella – 24 - 11.11.06
Stylish and flashy lady of elegant type with a longer wedge head with very wide top and large flared wide at base ears straight profile but rather flat above the eyes, firm chin and level bite; she shows a slight pinch. Eyes of lovely oriental set and shape of a dark vivid blue, long slender body long legs and dainty paws, whipped tail that requires an inch to balance. Points a darker warm seal brown , body a dark fawn showing heavy shading but this does show warmth. Excellent texture coat and well presented. An elegant lady whom it was a pleasure to handle.
French’s Caliganza Chanson Damour – 24A – 10.12.07
Exquisite young lady of glorious type with a longer wedge if somewhat fine at the muzzle with very wide top with lovely jug handle ears; dark eyes of lovely oriental setting;Strong straight profile with level bite and firm chin, longer adolescent body that was muscular and firm with tiny spoon feet and dainty elegant legs. Long whip tail to balance sadly this had a visible fault about one quarter of an inch from the tip and also had an irregularity about halfway up the length it was almost as if the vertebra was slightly thickened but this was more visible when she held her tail in the air. Her points colour was a dark blue and this did have cold tones but was too dark for the standard she was also shaded in tone but this was warmer in tone than i would have preferred that said it was a lovely texture and fairly short. A lovely youngster in excellent condition beautifully presented.
