*THE CROYDON CAT CLUB SHOW 13.2.2010* Mrs Ann Ivinson

Thank you very much Pat Norman and your Committee for my invitation to judge at this well organised and busy Show. I also thank Rachel Flint, my Steward, for her consistent help during a very busy day.

*RED CREAN & TORTIE BIRMAN KITTEN.*

1. BOB. PARBUTT'S KRAZIKLAUS KANY KANE. 13c8. F. 9.10.09.

A young Birman lady of 4 months still showing her young age, needing more time to develop her true potential. Good boning to rounded head top; medium ears; cheeks still narrow needing to develop more breadth, tapering to a firm chin; level bite, medium nose with slight dip on profile; her almost round eyes appeared small at first, and of a pale blue -- she did open them wider later when she was more relaxed. Young, long, body of good weight; medium length thickset legs, with short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat was soft and silky, well prepared, of a cool toned white; colour on her points of blue, dark cream, and light cream, were clearly visible; she has an interesting developing mask, with symmetrical line running straight down her nose; the left side of her face is predominantly blue with stripes of dark cream and pale cream; the right side of her face was predominantly dark cream and light cream with intermingling of blue; mask was spreading across baby cheeks; all colours could be clearly seen on her legs; her bushy tail also displayed all the colours; white gloves with no white beyond the stopper pad; socks even; gauntlets rounded to below the hock. I debated with myself about awarding the BOB as her head does need further development. However, given her young age and gentle, friendly, personality she won me over! As she matures her true Birman type, I feel, will reach its potential.

Round head; ears a little tall with good space between; round cheeks developed to muzzle line; firm chin, level bite, short broad nose. Cobby body; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat soft, a little long, open on the spine line; black spots needing more density to a brindled pale copper ground colour; her ground colour was cold in tone, lacking the rich copper brown shade required. Hopefully she is only going through a seasonal change. I was very sorry to withhold the CC. My reasons for doing so were owing to her coat length and cool toned ground colour.
