CROYDON CAT CLUB JUDGE – Mrs. Barbara Prowse 13/2/2010

Thank you to Pat for the invitation to judge at my first Croydon show. I had a very nice weekend away with warm hospitality and some lovely cats and kittens to cuddle!! Show was very well run and my thanks go to Karen Holloway for her help and expertise. I hope we can repeat again very soon.

BLUE or LILAC TORTIE and WHITE ADULT

BOB MRS L WILSON’S CH TYTHERTON CAN’T BUYME LOVE (12 2) F 3/11/08

Dilute Tortie and White whom I saw last as a kitten. She is still a very pretty young lady with lovely balanced Persian type. Head is round with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Coat well prepared and nicely patched. Pastel blue and cream with a sparkling white. Showing both colours to face with white and body well patched. Dinky tail showing both colours.

1CC MESSRS HANNINGTON & HARDIE’S CH SHEERBLISS NEVADA (70 51dw) M 29/9/07

Red shaded cameo and White Exotic of lovely balanced Persian type. Cobby body standing on short fat legs. Round head with very good width between neat well furnished ears. Eyes round and expressive, when he decided to open them, of a good copper colour. Short snub nose with good break and full leather. Good bite. Full fat cheeks firm chin. Coat is dense and plush and a lovely texture. It is a rich red with a silvery white undercoat; it shows faint oysters on each flank at present. Tail short but in proportion showing faint rings. Laid back temperament.

2ND MISS M FORSTER’S POPUP SALTAN PEPPER (70 12a1) M 21/8/08

Black and White Exotic of good shape and size. Cobby standing on short thick legs. Lovely balanced Persian type. Head is round with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short broad nose with full leather. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Coat is dense black with a white chevron to face, part white collar and white feet. He needs a little more show preparation which is not helped by the fact that he is losing coat. Tail is in proportion to his body. He was a little nervous today. Two very nice boys which could have gone either way and had to nit pick in the end.

BOB MRS R FISHER’S GR CH SHEERBLISS ENCHANTED LAYDEE (70 36e) F 16/10/06

Pretty Tortie Smoke Exotic of lovely balanced type and a sweet expression. Cobby in shape with good boning and standing low on the legs. Round head with good width between small ears. Lovely expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose. Good bite. Full cheeks. Coat dense, plush and standing away from the body. Coat is black intermingled with shades of red. Coat shows excellent contrasts. All points broken with colour. Both colours to face. Tail in proportion to body.

1ST BOB MRS J LOVESY’S PERSILUS FABLE (12a5) F 20/7/09

Delightful Red and White Bi Colour who went on to get BIS Persian, my take home kitten of the day. Lovely body shape and size. Cobby standing low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive orange eyes. Short broad nose with full pink leather. Full cheeks. Good bite. W ell prepared coat of a rich red and sparkling white. White inverted V on face with white chest and underparts. Mainly red body and full red tail. Sweet baby.

1ST PC W/H MRS P CORCORAN’S JISTEIL SQUIRREL’S SHADOW (12 2) FN 8/6/06

Dilute Tortie and White of good shape and size. Head is round with good width between ears. Round pale orange eyes. Short broad nose with good break. Full cheeks. Good bite. Coat is a little harsh to the touch; she has staining to her face and has very little fur on her abdomen. Coat shows a rather hot cream with a dark blue. She has both colours to her face with a white chevron. Body only showing cream with both colours to her tail which is in proportion to her body.

Two very nice boys, could have gone either way.

1ST BOB MRS E PERCIVAL’S BLEUGEMS BELIEVE-IN-ME (66w) MN 18/7/09

Seal Mitted Ragdoll. Good size and shape, body is long and he stands on legs that are medium in length on large round paws. Head is broad; he has a flat plane and good width between his ears which are medium in size. Eyes are well opened, slightly oblique and set nicely apart and are also a good blue colour. Good bite. Dense seal points. Chin, bib and chest are white as is the underbody. The two front paws are white up to the angle of the paws. Back legs are white up to the level of the hocks. Coat nicely prepared beige in colour and a good length and texture. Tail is long and bushy. Lovely temperament.

2ND MS R HAMILTON’S PHATPAWS FETISH (66a) M 3/8/09

Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll. Well grown for his age. His body is a good length, muscular and he stands on legs which are medium in length on large round paws. Broad head with flat plane. Ears are medium in size, set nicely apart and tilted slightly forward. Two tone blue eyes which are well opened and set slightly oblique. Medium length to nose with dip in profile. Level bite. Full cheeks and rounded muzzle, chin a little weak. Well-prepared coat which is good texture and length, ruff and knickerbockers developing showing slight surface shading. Points colour is a greyish blue and all matching. Long and bushy tail.

1ST MRS C STANTON’S RAGADDICT BRIAR ROSE (66) F 3/6/09

Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll going through the teenage stage at the moment. Body is a little rangy and she stands on medium sized legs on paws that are large and well tufted. Broad head with flat plane, ears are medium in size and spaced well apart. Eyes are large, well opened and are two tone in colour. Nose is medium in length and has a gentle dip. Good bite. Cheeks well rounded, firm chin. Points are a dense seal brown, mask is very brindled today and she lacks pigmentation around her eyes but I think she is changing her kitten coat into an adult coat so hopefully this will rectify when this happens. Coat nicely prepared and is a good texture but a little short. Tail long, reaching the shoulders and tapering towards the tip.

Blue Birman who is well grown and nicely balanced for Birman type. Body long and she stands on medium sized legs. Skull broad and rounded with good width between medium sized ears. Nose is medium in length with a slight dip in profile. Good bite. Almost round medium blue eyes. Coat well prepared, silken in texture. Coat is shady on top but clearing at the roots. Pure white gloves that are scalloped. Socks that cover the entire back paws. Good length to gauntlets. Points colour blue grey and all matching. Tail bushy and in proportion to body.

2ND MR & MRS SEMOS’S CH PRIDNJOY SARABANDE (13c2) FN 20/8/99

Blue Point of good Birman type. Her body is long and she is a good weight. Skull is broad and rounded with ears that are medium in size and set nicely apart. Almost round medium blue eyes. Nose is medium in length with the required dip in profile and she has a full blue leather. Good bite. Cheeks full and round chin slightly weak. Matching points which are blue grey. Pure white feet with gloves which are scalloped. Socks pure white and are covering the entire back paws. Gauntlets are rather short and blunt. Coat well prepared with lovely full ruff framing her face. Body shading apparent but it is clearing well from the roots. Tail medium in length and in proportion to her body.

BOB MRS S PARBUTT’S GR PR KRAZIKLAUS KARIZMA (13c2) FN 17/9/02

Blue Point Birman who has good well balanced Birman type. Body is long and she stands on thick set legs on short strong paws. Skull is broad and rounded with good width between ears that are medium in size. Almost round eyes of medium blue. Nose is medium in length with a slight dip in profile and full blue leather. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat that is quite shady but it is clearing from the roots. Pure white gloves which are slightly scalloped and finish at the angle of the paws. Socks are pure white and cover the entire back paws. Good length to gauntlets which taper to finish just below the level of the hocks. Coat is long and silken with a full ruff. Points are blue grey and all matching. Tail is bushy and medium in length.

1ST MR & MRS EDIKER’S CH LAZANE CLASSIQUE (2a) M 8/11/08

Lovely Orange Eyed White. Cobby in shape and standing low on the legs. Large round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round orange eyes which could have been a little larger for perfection. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Good bite. Full cheeks, strong chin. Well prepared sparkling white coat. Dinky tail.

2ND MRS S HAYNES’S ANSTEYN IAMRUBY LOOKATME (4) F 21/4/09

Red Persian who is a good shape and size but a little underweight at present, maybe she has been calling? Round head with good width between neat ears. Large round copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Bite is a little undershot and off centre. Full cheeks. Coat is a rich shade of red, well prepared and showing very minimal tabby markings. Dinky tail.

Very pretty Blue baby who is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat ears. Round copper eyes. Short snub nose. Good bite. Full cheeks. Well prepared coat which is full flowing and a lovely shade of blue. Dinky tail. Look forward to seeing her as she grows up.

1ST MR & MRS DAVIES’S GR CH RAGSHAVEN BUSTERS LEGACY (66 31a) M 27/3/05

Blue and White bi colour Ragdoll of lovely balanced type. Excellent size and shape with body being long and well grown. Head is broad with flat plane. Ears are medium in size, set wide and slightly tilted forward. Large blue eyes which are set slightly oblique and are spaced nicely apart. Medium length nose with a gentle dip. Level bite. Full cheeks with rounded muzzle. Points colour is a bluish grey. Back a bluish grey with a small patch of white he also has a part white collar. Inverted V on face which is symmetrical. Bib chest and underparts white. Front legs are white and back legs are white up to the level of the underbody. Long and bushy tail. Excellent temperament.

2ND MRS E PERCIVAL’S IMP GR CH BLEUGEMS TEDDIE BEAR (66 31) M 8/8/07

Seal Bi colour Ragdoll of lovely balanced Ragdoll type. His body is long and muscular and he stands on legs which are medium in length on paws that are large round and well tufted. Head is broad and he has a flat plane. Ears are medium in size, slightly tilted forward and set nicely apart. Eyes are large, well opened and a deep shade of blue. Nose is medium in length and has a gentle dip. Level bite. Cheeks well developed with a nicely rounded muzzle. Coat well prepared and silken in texture. Full ruff and knickerbockers. Dense seal points which are matching. Mask has a balanced inverted ‘V’ of white. Bib, chest and underparts white with full white collar. Back and sides of the body are beige with evenly distributed patches of white. Front legs are white and the back legs are white up to the level of the body. White is well within the allowed one third. Tail long, bushy and slightly tapered at the tip.

3RD MS R HAMILTON’S PHATPAWS JUST LUST (66 31a) F 29/4/09

Blue Bi colour Ragdoll of lovely balanced type and very well mannered. Her body is long and muscular and she stands on legs that are medium in length on large round paws which are well tufted. Head needing to broaden at the moment so needing just a little more width between ears that are medium in size. Large blue eyes which are set slightly oblique. Medium length nose with a gentle dip. Level bite. Full cheeks with rounded muzzle. Points colour a bluish grey. Back a bluish grey with patches of white. Balanced inverted V on face. Bib chest and underparts white. Coat well prepared, silken in texture and medium in length. She is well within the standard for white. Long and bushy tail.

Nose medium in length with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Cheeks nicely rounded. Symmetrical gloves and socks. Good length to gauntlets. Well prepared coat of magnolia. Points, lilac markings on a pale beige agouti ground. Well defined Tabby markings for this colour. Stripes to legs and rings to tail.

2ND MS R HAMILTON’S CH XELALUV PARSHA (66) F 25/4/07

Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll with a long and well built body. She stands on legs that are medium in length on large round paws. Head is broad with flat plane. Ears are medium in size, slight tilt and set well apart. Eyes are large, set slightly oblique and deep blue in colour. Nose is medium in length with a gentle dip. Level bite. Cheeks well developed with chin a little weak. Coat well prepared, silky in texture with full ruff and knickerbockers. Coat is showing some surface shading but is clearing from the roots. Dense matching seal points with full mask. Tail long and bushy reaching the shoulders well.

Red Silver Shaded and White Tabby Maine Coon. Body long, solid and muscular and he stands on substantial legs on large round paws. Head is medium in length with ears that are held high and spaced nicely apart. Round gold eyes that are spaced wide apart and set slightly oblique. Nose of even width with shallow concave curve. Level bite. Square muzzle, rounded full cheeks. Coat well prepared showing a light undercoat evenly shaded with red. White chest, feet and underparts. Nicely developed ruff and breeches. Tail long and at least the length of the back.

2ND MRS BRIGLIADORI & DR ROBSON’S SHWECHINTHE CASSATA (13c20) F 11/8/09

Very pretty Lilac Tortie Tabby point Birman. Lovely subtle colouring to points. Body well grown for age and she stands on medium sized legs. Rounded skull with medium sized ears which are spaced well apart. Almost round eyes of medium blue. Medium sized nose with required dip in profile. Good bite. Lilac markings on a pale agouti background overlaid and intermingled with shades of cream. Tabby markings are a little faint at the moment on both face and legs. Pure white socks which are scalloped and finish at the angle of the paws. Pure white gloves that cover the entire back paws. Gauntlets are a good length and taper to finish just below the point of the hock. Well-prepared coat which is off white. Bushy tail in proportion to the body showing rings.

Blue Silver Tabby and White Maine Coon. Excellent size and shape. Stands on substantial legs with large round paws. Head medium in length with large tall ears that are well tufted and spaced nicely apart. Round green eyes spaced well apart with a slight oblique set. Nose of even width with shallow concave curve. Good bite. Fairly full cheeks, firm chin. Well prepared coat. Blue tabby markings on a pale silvery blue ground colour. Markings displayed well. White chest, underparts and feet. Tail well ringed and at least the length of the back.

2ND MRS BRIGLIADORI & DR ROBSON’S SHWECHINTHE FUZZYWUZZY (13c7) MN 24/6/07

Cream Point Birman. Body long and massive. He stands on medium sized legs on short strong paws. Skull strong broad and rounded. Ears are medium in size and spaced well apart. Eyes are almost round, medium blue and spaced nicely apart. Nose medium in length with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Cheeks nicely rounded. Well prepared coat showing slight surface shading and it is a very nice length and texture. Points colour is a pleasing shade of cream although the tail is a little hotter in colour and he has faint tabby markings on his face. Pure white symmetrical gloves with pure white socks that cover the entire back paws. Gauntlets are a good length. Tail bushy and medium in length.

Tortie Tabby & White Maine Coon of good size and shape. Long body of good weight showing the characteristic rectangular appearance. Head medium in length with large tall ears which are wide at the base, well tufted, set high and well apart. Gold eyes which are full and round and set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Level bite. Muzzle square with firm chin. Cheeks full. Coat well prepared with Tabby markings diffused due to length. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints. Barring to legs and rings to tail all on a warm copper agouti ground which was overlaid with shades of red. Coat well prepared with ruff and breeches. White moustache chest, underparts and feet. Tail broad at the base and reaching the shoulders easily, tapering slightly towards the end.

2ND MRS M CLARKS’S RAGSHAVEN MR SWEETBEASTIE (66a) MN 17/4/09

Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll. Good size and shape, body long and muscular standing on legs that are medium in length on large round paws. Nice broad head with flat plane. Medium sized ears set nicely apart and tilted forward. Two tone blue eyes which are large and well opened and set slightly oblique. Medium length to nose needing just a little more dip in profile. Level bite. Cheeks could be a little fuller with rounded muzzle. Well-prepared coat which is a good texture and length. Points colour is a greyish blue and all matching. Long and bushy tail.

AC BRITISH ADOLESCENT ADULT

1ST MRS E WILLIS’S KABENBE CHAMPAGNE-ZOE (31a) F 30/4/09

Blue and White Bi Colour who is going through the adolescent stage. She is a little rangy in shape and stands on short strong paws. Head is round with good width between small neat ears. Round well opened copper eyes. Short and straight broad nose. Level bite. Rounded cheeks with firm chin. Coat is a little long and soft; it is a medium shade of blue and sparkling white. She has a symmetrical white chevron on her face with part white collar, white chest, underparts and legs. Fully coloured blue tail which is medium in length.
