My thanks to Pat, Bill and the committee for the kind invitation to judge at this friendly and efficiently run show. I had a very enjoyable day and was lucky enough to handle some really lovely household pets. I had several really difficult choices to make for many of the placings as the standard was very high indeed.

Self (Single Colour) With/Without White LH/SLH Neuter Male:

1 MC BOG O’NEILL’S ALFIE MN 2yrS.

Very sweet boy with a very sleek more black than white coat. His white fur was sparklingly clean. Greeny yellow eyes. Good weight. Handled well but was happier inside his pen than out of it.

2. WHITE’S HARRY MN 23mths.

Slightly longer short coat which was mostly black with some white and a very attractive symmetrical white triangle over his nose and mouth. Very relaxed in his pen but a little worried out of it. A really delightful chap who obviously enjoys going outside - his back legs and nose were a little grubby and his coat looked a little dusty, hence his 2nd placing in the class.

Self (Single Colour) With/Without White LH/SLH Neuter Female:

1 MC SKINNER’S MILLIE FN 18mths.

Very sweet and pretty shy young lady with lovely yellow eyes and fabulous soft and well prepared coat. Attractive white edging to her outer ears and a sweet pink nose. I would have loved a cuddle but she was much happier inside her pen and so I didn’t press the point.

Tabby (any pattern) With/Without White SH Neuter Male:

I spent a long time agonising especially between the 1st and 2nd placings in this top quality class.

1 MC BOG WILLIAMS TOULOUSE MN 10mths.

Large friendly super classic brown tabby and white with lovely clear markings who very happily strolled out onto my trolley for a kiss and a cuddle. What a wonderful temperament! Clear greeny yellow eyes, neat white gloves and white long socks on his long legs. An absolutely super boy who I could have smuggled home with me very happily!

2 HUTCHISON’S MC LEON MN 22mths.

Another fantastic and very affectionate cat who was very unlucky to meet the winner today. Handsome classic tabby with a white chin and a tiny white locket on his chest. Slightly longer, soft coat who had with pale greeny yellow eyes. Shown in tip top condition.

3 JONES’ TEJAS MN 10mth 2wks.

Stunningly pretty British type blue spotted tabby and white boy with striking pale blue eyes and a stripy tail. Nice and relaxed in his pen but didn’t particularly want to come out for a cuddle today. Very well presented.

Tabby (any pattern) With/Without White SH Neuter Female:

1 MC EMERY’S MC MOUSE FN 30.08.08.

British-type dark blue mackerel tabby and white with a really soft coat. A really pretty girl with green eyes and gorgeous eye-liner. Happier in her pen. Very well presented.

A.C. S.H Kitten:

1 RICHES’ PERIDOT NIGHT RIDER M 5mths.

Extremely attractive and darling kitten, mostly (sparkling) white with tabby patches and tail. Slightly muddy looking greeny eye colour which looks like it could still be changing. Very sweet baby but happier inside his pen. I look forward to seeing him again when he’s got more used to the idea of all this showing business. Shows great promise!

2 RICHES’ PERIDOT NIGHT RIDER.

3 WILLIAMS’ SABA FN 3yr9mths.

Stunning rich russet coloured spotted bengal look-alike. Short gleaming coat but she was a bit cross today.

X3 McCLEOD’S OZZIE MN 8mths.

Shy LH blue and white kitten. His pen was located unfortunately right in the most draughty corner of the hall and he looked most unhappy about this. Beautifully groomed sweet natured boy with a very long soft coat. Unusual looking almond-shaped eyes.

Prettiest Female Neuter or Kitten:

1 LLOYD’S LUCILLE FN 2yrs.

Extremely pretty and extrovert brindled black tortie girl with bags of charming personality. Pale green eyes. Pretty mix of colours in her gorgeous coat. Beautifully presented, very chatty and a real darling.

2 TOLHURST’S MC HEIDI DGM FN 15.07.03.

Very pretty British-type tortie tabby and white with a well-filled body. A bit trembly, not particularly enjoying her day but she handled well nevertheless.

X2 WILLIAMS’ SABA.

3 TITTERALL’S MISS TIGERLILY F 24wks.

Adorable pretty chocolate oriental tabby baby with a lovely soft short satin-like coat. Very sweet but much happier in her pen. Well presented.

Friendliest Neuter or Kitten:

What a difficult class to judge!

1 FRANKLIN’S MC LOUIE MN 3yr11mths.

Large reddish brown spotted tabby with green eyes. Ultra cuddly and loved the attention from all the stewards and judges. Gentle expression and another cat I could happily have taken home (if I had had a large enough pocket!).

2 LLOYD’S LUCILLE.

X2 WILLIAMS TOULOUSE.

3 POTTER’S BERTIE BASSETT M 1.7.09.

Lovely and good sized black SLH kitten shown in super condition and very happy to come out for attention. Golden greeny eyes. Delightful temperament.

2 RICHARDS’ CODY MN 2yr8mths.

Really sweet dark blue pointed Siamese look-alike cat with beautiful blue eyes, fantastic satin-like short coat. I loved him!

Lovely girl with a beautiful plush white coat that looked slightly open today, perhaps because it was a little chilly in that corner of the hall? Attractive pink nose, very sweet natured and handled OK but was happier in her pen.
