THE CROYDON CAT CLUB, Saturday, 13TH FEBRUARY, 2010

Many thanks go to Pat Norman and the committee of the Croydon for the kind invitation to judge. This was a lovely show. My thanks also go to my steward, Ron Hore, who stepped in to judge for me. Ron, many thanks.

BLACK ADULT, MALE

BOB OWEN GR CH BESSJET ROCAWENPRIVATE JET, Male, (02.06.2007)

Stunning boy – absolutely got the lot and prepared to perfection. An absolute credit to his owners.

1CC TAYLOR CH ANSTEYN DRAKONOIR, (11.10.2007)

Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large, round eyes of a good orange shade. Short broad nose. Level bite. Strong muzzle and chin, with quite full cheeks. Body is cobby and is sat quite low on leg. Coat has good length and texture. It is soft, flowing and quite dense in colour. It is also almost sound to the root. More attention is needed to the finer details of show preparation; this would enhance his overall appearance.

BLACK ADULT, FEMALE

1 CC WH ANGUS PALCHINNO BLACK BESS, (19.06.2008)

Good top of head with neat well placed ears. Large, round eyes of a good orange shade. Unfortunately this young lady’s bite is undershot. Strong muzzle, firm chin and full cheeks. Very sturdy cobby body conformation sat quite low on leg. Coat is full and flowing with good texture. At the moment it is not sound to the root. It is also a bit grey to the ruff and hindquarters. Nice temperament.

2ND GREEN LAFREBELLA JET, (16.08.2008)

Good top of head. Ears are neat and well placed. She has large round eyes, orange in colour. Short broad nose. This young lady too has an undershot bite which is also slightly off centre. Cobby body conformation sat quite low on leg. In terms of her coat she looked like she’d been pulled through a hedge backwards. It looked as though very little preparation had been put in.

WHITE (ORANGE-EYED) ADULT

Sweet young man with a super temperament and stunning looks. Excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a good orange colour. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Solid cobby body sat low on leg. Wealth of soft flowing white coat, pristine in colour and beautifully prepared. A real joy to handle and especially cuddle!

TORTOISESHEEL COLOURPOINT KITTEN

1ST & BOB NEALE CONFETICAT CHERRY COLA, Blue-Cream Female (13b8) (05.06.2009)

Very good top of head with neat well placed ears. Large, round deep blue eyes. Short broad nose. Bite is every so slightly overshot at the moment, giving her face a somewhat pinched looked. This is not helped by the lack of fullness to her cheeks at present. Strong muzzle and firm chin. Excellent cobby body sat low on short fat legs. Wealth of soft flowing coat. Body coat is creamy-white in colour. Points colours are pastel shades of blue and cream. Points nicely match to ears, masks, legs and tail. A nicely prepared exhibit.

Very good top of head with neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a good orange shade. Short broad nose. Level bite. Needs a smidge more fullness to her cheeks to achieve facial balance. Very good body weight and conformation. Soft full flowing coat. Some old guard hairs present. Colour almost sound to the root, mid blue and cream in colour. White pristine. Nice patching to face.

Stunning young lady with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a lovely copper colour. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Super cobby body sat low on short fat legs. Wealth of soft full flowing coat. Super rich coppery brown agouti background overlaid with dense markings. Superb presentation. A real little sweetie.

2ND DAVIS NABOO PHOENIX RISING, Red Silver Tabby & White Male (12a5ts) (17.02.2009)

Lovely mature boy with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large round eyes, copper in colour. Short broad nose. Level bite. Strong muzzle and firm chin. Needs just a smidge more fullness to his cheeks for balance. Strong neck and shoulders. Excellent cobby body sat quite low on leg. Nicely rounded paws. Super rich red marking on silvery red ground colour. Presents a classic pattern. “M”, lines from eyes and lines over back of head present. Part butterfly in evidence as are oysters and tail rings. Coat is dense and plush, standing away from the body. A pleasing boy to handle.

Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Excellent facial balance. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent cobby body conformation sat low on short well developed legs. Coat is in moult at present and therefore is not quite as dense or plush as it could be; but it does have a good density of colour. He has a white chevron to his face and ¾ white collar.

Super cobby body. Wealth of coat, soft, full and flowing. He has colour to back two legs. Beautiful preparation.

2ND HANNINGTON & HARDIE CH SHEERBLISS NEVADA, Red Shaded Cameo and White Exotic Male (70 51dw) (29.09.2007)

Massive mature lad. Excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears, nicely following the contour of the skull. Super large bold deep orange eyes. Short broad nose. Excellent facial balance. Excellent cobby body sat low on short well formed legs, which end in well rounded paws. Super neck and shoulder muscling. Coat dense and plush standing nicely away from the body. Lovely colour. Super tipping to coat, white pristine. Another really lovely exhibit.

Lovely kitten with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large, round, bold, orange eyes. Short broad nose. Almost level bite. Excellent facial balance. Cobby body sat low on short well formed legs. Fantastic coat, full, soft, flowing. It is rich red in colour and is sound to the root. She has red to her face which looks a little like curtains and a full white collar. She was beautifully prepared and full of presence. A real little sweetie.

2ND PARKES LADYGEM BLUE VELVET, Blue Tabby & White Female (12a2t) (22.08.2009)

Super Blue Tabby & White baby with a very good top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large round super copper eyes. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent balanced facial features. Cobby body. She has lines from her eyes, half “M” and lines over the back of her head. No rings to her tail as yet. A very pretty young lady.

Very good top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a good orange shade. Short broad nose. Level bite. Strong muzzle and firm chin. Needs a smidge more fullness to her cheeks to achieve facial balance. Super body shape and weight. Nicely rounded paws. Tail in balance with her body. Coat has rich red marking on a red background. Coat is dense and plush standing nicely away from the body.

2ND YUILLE & CAIRNS HADFIELDS EYESGOT THE LOOK, Cream Tabby Exotic Male (Spotted) (70 30 8f) (26.07.2009)

Lovely Cream Tabby Exotic who presents spotting with some mackerel. Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a good orange colour. Short broad nose. Excellent muzzle and chin. Needs a touch more fullness to his cheeks for balance. Excellent cobby body sat low on leg. Coat is dense and plush, standing away from the body. Coat colour is pale cream overlaid with rich cream markings.

1ST ANGUS PALCHINNO CELESTIALSKY, Blue Female (3) (18.06.2009)

Very sweet little baby with a very pleasing expression. Very good top of head with neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a good orange colour; just a little deep-set. Strong muzzle and firm chin. Needs a smidge more fullness to her cheeks for balance. Excellent body weight and conformation. Wealth of super pale blue, almost sound, coat which was beautifully prepared.

1ST WOODMAN GR CH AND GR PR CHERRUTI BLUE SUEDE MEWS, Blue Male Neuter (3) (28.04.2000)

Good top of head. Ears are well placed but held slightly tall and splayed. Nice eye shape and colour. Short broad nose. Just needs a more fullness to cheeks for balance. Body is a little rangy and he is tall on his legs. This is not aided by the absence of length to his coat. Coat is quite pale in colour. Not a very happy bunny today – perhaps at his age he should be staying at home in front of a nice warm fire!

1ST GLOVER TRACYLOOE CYNDERELLA, Dominant Tortie and White Female (12 1) (02.05.2005)

Sweet lady with a very good top of head and neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a good orange colour – colour good for age. Short broad nose. Level bite. Good facial balance. Very good cobby body shape. Coat has good length and texture. It presents vibrant red and dense black colour. Facially she has a white chevron with both colours to the sides.

2ND PAYNE CH PEMPAKAT ANDANTE, Cream Male (5) (23.08.2008)

Good top of head and neat well placed ears. Large round orange eyes. Short broad nose. Level bite. Very good facial balance including strong muzzle and chin together with full round cheeks. Very good body weight and conformation sat quite low on short fat legs. Coat is mid-cream in colour and appears rather hot in places. Unfortunately it is not sound to the root.
