CROYDON CAT CLUB 13 February 2010 Judge: Perri Hutchison

I would like to thank Pat, Bill & the Committee for the kind invitation to judge at this well run show. Special thanks to Gareth Dew, my fabulous steward, who handled the cats with great care, and once again carted me, chair and crutches around a busy day. Thanks a million Gareth, I look forward to the next time.

A C Burmese Champion (Gr Ch), Male

GR CC KENNARD’S GR CH MAINMAN KISSANOVA 27 M (6.4.7)

Mature looking chap. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Super teddy bear jowls! Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. Flat brow. Good nose break. Nose rolls of at tip. Firm chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, just balances. Coat short and close lying, excellent texture and shine. Warm seal brown. Sweet natured chap. Well presented.

Sweet gentle chap who just loved a cuddle! What a time waster! Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. rounded brow. Good nose break. Straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance, stud tail evident at base. Coat slightly thick and open, good feel to it though. Cream is a little dark but has good powdering on the extremities. Clear coated chap. An absolute fabulous poppet – one to put in my pocket!!

Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. flat brow. Excellent nose break. Firm chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, balances. Coat short and close lying, good texture and shine. Pretty tortie, well balanced, and stood superbly showing herself off on my trolley!! Superb condition and an absolute sweetie. Well presented. I understand this made her up to Grand Champion today, congratulations to her owners/breeders!

Muscular weighty girl. slender legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Superb coat, short and close, with the most fabulous sheen. Warm even seal brown. Grumbly ratbag! Well presented.

Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, expressive, yellow in colour. flat brow. Good nose break. Straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Lovely short coat, good texture and shine. Super cream with excellent powdering on his extremities. Clear coated. In super condition for his age. A little grumbly but handled ok. Well presented.

I have always liked this chap with the sweetest of temperaments. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. flat brow. Excellent nose break. Firm chin, level bite. Huge chap with large waistline. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat has excellent texture and shine. Warm even seal brown. Few white hairs on neck. Purring chap. Well presented.

Grumpy tortie, looking much better today. I think she must have been on the treadmill, she has managed to successfully lose her huge waistline, and oh what a difference it has made!! She is back in balance. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. Flat brow. Excellent nose break, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular weighty girl, but has lost her football stomach! Slim legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Excellent texture coat, close lying and good shine. Grumpy girl today, in excellent condition for her age, well presented.

My old friend of super type, let down today by her waistline! I think she has gained all of Lottie’s lost pounds!!! Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, expressive, chartreuse in colour. flat brow. Excellent nose break, straight nose, firm chin, level gums. Enormous middle aged spread waistline! Slim legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat short and close, excellent texture and shine. Rich tangerine red, sweet natured lass. Again in super condition for her age. Well presented.

Asian Tabby (Spotted, Classic, Mackerel or Ticked) kitten

Black full expression ticked tabby. Super little lass of fab type and an absolute poppet. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Excellent nose break, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slim legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, rounded tip, balances. Small pip at end. Super short coat, good texture and shine. Her coat is evenly ticked with three clear bands of colour on each hair shaft ie: warm toned coppery brown groundcoat, jet black markings and ticked ends. “M” on her forehead. Cheek pencillings. Darker spine line. Ringed legs and tail. Spotty tummy and broken necklaces. Super girl – will watch her progress with interest.

Even dark slate blue with good silvering on her extremities. Sweet purring poppet. Well presented.

Nice pale cream with good powdering on his extremities. Faint smudges on all limbs and a broken necklace. Super temperament. Well presented.

Wow super girl! At last I have the pleasure of judging this girl, having dribbled over her on facebook!!! Strong top of head. Large wide based flared ears well set. Good length well balanced wedge. Oriental shaped eyes are set well apart, expressive, slanting towards her nose, vivid emerald green in colour, with a fabulous wicked expression! In profile straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Elegant neck. Long svelte body, muscular and firm. Dainty legs and oval paws. Tail long and tapering, balances. Coat long and open (but it was very cold in the hall) but has a good texture. Jet black and sound to the roots, with that super sheen. Purring lass, making biscuits – an absolute poppet. Will watch her progress with great interest! Was pleased to see she was Best of Variety Oriental Kitten – many congratulations to her owner and her breeder!

My honour to judge the President’s class. Cynthia was a very dear friend to me since 1977 and whom adopted me as her daughter. She was a rare breed of fine lady, with a heart of gold, who will be sorely missed in the Cat Fancy.

Well presented.

Tail long and tapering, balances. Coat short and close. Chocolate tabby point. Correct 1/3rd white with clear demarcation of colour. super blotches on face. Handsome chap! Well presented.
