CENTRAL LONGHAIRED CAT CLUB 23 JANUARY 2010 Judge: Debbie Newman

Many thanks to Marion and Sheila and the team for the invitation to judge at this friendly enjoyable well run show - I thoroughly enjoyed my day. Thank you also to my steward, Jane Chadwick who was such good company and handled the cats with great care.

SELF (SINGLE COLOUR) CAT WITH OR WITHOUT WHITE

A very difficult class to judge as all 3 would have been worthy winners

1ST MC & BOB MRS J D PLANT’S MC BASHFUL BRUNO

SLH blue birman type male of 9 years – WOW! What a handsome boy. He loved the attention and a tickle under his chin. He had such a fabulous temperament and was groomed and prepared beautifully with pristine white paws. He went on to have a red card day so well done to his owner.

2nd MRS T PEPPERELL’S MC LOUIE

LH seal point male of 6 years. Another handsome boy with a beautifully well groomed full coat. A big strong frame and very gentle. This boy just wanted to sleep the day away and was happier when returned to his pen.

3rd MRS C M TURNER-RUSSELL’S HENRY

LH silver chinchilla of 12 years. This boy had been presented well and I loved the silver tipping in his beautiful long coat. Wonderful large wide open eyes. A very laid back lad.

SLH seal point bi-colour female of 10mths.

TABBY CAT OF ANY PATTERN WITH OR WITHOUT WHITE

ABS MRS S F MORELAND’S MRCUS MAD BAD BAZ

SH brown spotted tabby male of 9yrs 8mths.

AC NON-PEDIGREE LIVING WITH A PEDIGREE

1st MR G TURNER’S MAISIE

SH black tortie female of 7 years. Mature well balanced girl with a beautiful shiny and soft silky coat. Beautiful tortie colouring and very easy to handle. This girl was purring away on the trolley and not at all bothered with the attention she was getting.

2nd MRS S F MORELAND’S MRCUS, UMC & GMC TOBY THE TABBY

– SH brown tabby male of 12yrs 11mths. What a wonderfully gentle mature lad who was very laid back with an excellent temperature. Beautiful brown tabby boy with superb markings and in wonderful condition for his age.

3rd MRS D M RUTTER’S MC BRACKEN

SH tortoiseshell female of 2 years. A beautiful short-haired tortie with a lovely coat pattern. Excellent temperament and beautifully presented.

AV EXHIBIT THE JUDGE WOULD MOST LIKE TO TAKE HOME

1st MR & MRS A & B WAREING’S MC LEO

LH brown mackerel tabby of 1yr 7mths. A very handsome large young man with a wonderful full coat and lovely mackerel markings shown in wonderful condition. A very alert and playful lad that I could definitely have taken home!

2nd MR G HILL’S MC SAM

LH ginger and white male of 2yrs 9mths. What a handsome lad with a lovely face and expressive green eyes. Beautiful vibrant red colours contrasting well with his white. A really gorgeous boy that came close to beating the winner.

3rd MISS M SAVAGE’S & MISS C BROW’S LILLIA

SH dilute tortie/white female of 3yrs 4mths. Such a sweetie and loved attention. Very alert expression saying ‘things to do, places to go!’ Pristine white contrasting against her dilute tortie coat. Well presented girl. •

1st MRS T PEPPERELL’S HARVEY

SH tabby of 5 months. A very handsome and well grown lad for his age. Superb tabby markings shown in wonderful condition. Beautiful round green eyes and a superb temperament.

2nd MRS E ISAAC’S MANU

SH black boy of 8 years. Jet black glossy coat and beautiful pale green eyes. Well balanced with a lovely temperament and he just loved a tickle under his chin.

LH black male of 1yr 1mth. Good proportioned boy shown in excellent condition with lovely expressive green eyes. He was not a happy boy today and didn’t really want to come out of his pen.

3rd ABS MS M SAVAGE’S & MISS C BROWN’S NIGEL

SLH tabby boy of 10mths.

1st MRS P A PRITCHARD’S FRANKIE

SH tortoiseshell female of 4 years. WOW what a beautiful tortoiseshell girl! Beautiful vibrant coat pattern and such a sweet face. A real sweetheart and all she wanted to do was win me over and she succeeded! I could easily have sneaked her home with me. I learned later that she had a well deserved red card day – well done!

2nd MRS A McCONNELL’S SAPHIE

SH blue female of 3 years old. Beautiful girl and well proportioned with a wonderful soft coat. Large round eyes with an alert expression.

BLACK, WHITE OR BLACK & WHITE ADULT OR KITTEN

1st MISS B TAYLOR’S MC FLUFFY

LH black male of 5 years old. Excellent presentation and groomed well. Beautiful long black coat. Large amber eyes which stood out against his jet black coat. Lovely temperament.
