CAMBRIDGESHIRE CAT CLUB 27th MARCH 2010. DR BRUCE BENNETT.A happy and enjoyable day. My thanks to Sally and Paul for their invitation and to Gillian who stewarded somewhat reluctantly and with great forbearance. NORWEGIAN FOREST KITTEN MALE.1. BoB. SCOTT’S GLEDEKATT GANDALF. MN. (67 31ts) 5mths 3wks.Handsome youngster with a typical, clearly defined triangular wedge head, ears of balancing size, set well in line, might be just a little more widely spaced ideally. Beautiful almond eyes nicely inclined. Excellent straight profile, deep firm chin and level bite. Lengthy neck and body, standing tall on strong legs with appropriate length to the hind limbs, tail reaches to base of neck. Coat developing well, already has length and distinction of over- from undercoat evident, ears well furnished internally, ruff and britches developing, paw tufts already well in evidence. Neat white paws contrasting with tabby of the body with clear silver contrast. In my book and the catalogue listed as male but after failing to find the appropriate appurtenances, we established that he had, in fact, been recently neutered. AC ORIENTAL LH NEUTER MALE.1. PC. BoB. BAX’S MYLYNN MAMRAJH. MN. (62 43s) 10mths 3wks.Youngster with a truly distinguished leonine head type, a beautifully even triangle with large ears widely spaced and aligned. Lovely angled, oriental eyes of green with a languid and superior expression. Proud straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Body already lengthy and firm, limbs and tail balance. Coat of mid length, still just a little shorter than ideal but getting there, its slightly shorter length perhaps accounting for the fact that ghost tabby markings can still be detected in the black shading on his flanks, good bright silver beneath it all. Should be truly formidable when coat catches up with his type, and at just ten months, he has plenty of time for this. Later Best Oriental neuter. Well done. Considered for BoB. GODDARD’S PR MYLYNN SWEET PEA. FN (62 43s) 1yr 7mths.An older and most attractive lady, without quite the style of the winner. Shorter, even wedge, chin rounded, eyes of good shape, marginally open, green could be a little more intense, ears well placed and set, would like them just a tad larger. Very good profile smoothly convex, chin slopes gently, bite meets. Well grown mature body, limbs and tail to match. Very good coat, soft and flowing, delicate tipping showing faint tabby ghost pattern like the boy’s in spite of its length (I note she is his elder sister), good silver undercoat there. TORTIE POINT SIAMESE ADULT.1 CC BoB. BAUGHAN’S FLUTTERBY KISS ME QUICK. F. (32b3) 11mths 2wks.Pleasing girl of good type, with an even equilateral wedge head, featuring eyes of excellent oriental shape and depth of blue, slightly open initially but came down nicely, ears of becoming size placed and flared in line. Well developed body and limbs, tail needs an inch. Mask slightly dark chocolate, attractive warm blaze, breaks elsewhere rather cooler, good ivory body for contrast. LILAC POINT SIAMESE KITTEN MALE.1. BoB. TOTH’S TIANLEX PURPLEHAZE. M. (24c) 6mths 1wk.Lad of sound type with an medium wedge, slight pinch evident, on which large ears are set in alignment, spaced well, eyes oriental in shape and set, blue good. Body and limbs firm, tail could be longer to balance. Gently arched profile, deep strong muzzle, chin lines up, bite meets. Points a mid lilac shade with warmth evident, magnolia body contrasts well. TORTIE POINT SIAMESE KITTEN.1. BoB. BOWLES GAUDY’S MAFDET LAVENDERBLUE. F. (32b8). 8mths 3wks.Very appealing girl with a very good even wedge, ears of size very well flared to set it off, eyes of lovely oriental shape and blue colour. Long profile, almost straight, excellent depth of muzzle, strong chin and level bite. Well grown, already mature body, limbs and tail to complement it, sternum just a little straight but OK. Coat still has some kittenish length, lovely soft caramel points well broken by gentle apricots. Mature and well balanced. Later Best Siamese Kitten, well deserved. 2. PULLEN’S FLUTTERBY A FINE ROMANCE. F. (32b8) 3mths 2wks.Lovely little tyke with an excellent even wedge adorned by large flaring ears and oriental eyes of good blue. Very good straight profile, firm chin, teething, bite at present looks just marginally under. Neat little body and limbs, tail matching. Baby coat shows points of very soft shade, making the pale breaks difficult to detect but they are clear on all four paws with just a few on the mask, body pale and clear. SEAL POINT SIAMESE NEUTER.1. PC. BoB. RIDGEWAY’S HARTZIE’S GALAXYOFSTARS 1yr 11mths.Smart lad with an even wedge of mid length on which ears are set to follow, eyes a little open, clear blue. Profile arched , formidable canines, upper incisors gone but bite seemed level. Medium sized body, limbs and tail in keeping. Coat texture good, dense seal points, body rather evenly shaded in cool tone, contrast evident. AV LIMIT KITTEN.1. COCKCROFT’S SOLARUS MONT VENTOUX. M. (29c) 7mths 2wks.Such a wriggly fellow! Good even wedge head, crowned by ears of medium large size, nicely flared in line, oriental eyes of light green. Good profile and chin, bite seemed level but he wasn’t inclined for prolonged dental inspection. Balanced body and limbs, tail needs a smidge to balance. Excellent coat for texture and soundness; in the available hall light there seemed a touch of toffee in this lilac. AV SIAMESE OR BALINESE ADULT.1. RIDGEWAY’S HARTZIE BLAZE OF GLORY. M. (24k) 9mths 3wks.Strong youth of good type with an even wedge of mid length on which ears are well placed and flared, might be just a little more spaced for preference. Eyes well inclined, good blue. Profile shows a smooth strong arch, good depth of muzzle, bite level. Body firm and lengthy, tail balancing. Points slightly dark for cinnamon, might almost pass for a pale chocolate, wonderful clear pale body contrast. 2. RICHARDS’ DEBIKAT GRACIE-MAE. F. (32 1) 2yrs.Lovely lady with an excellent wedge, graced by large ears set in line, eyes of very good shape and blue tone. Profile angled at the brow, then gentle dish to the nose leather, chin strong, incisors a bit gappy, uppers just a tad behind the remaining lower ones. Well balanced body, limbs and tail. Warm seal tabby tracings, body gently shaded to tone. AC SIAMESE ADULT, KITTEN OR NEUTER.1. MUIR-TAYLOR’S PR JOHPAS FATBOYSLIM. MN (32fn) 1yr 1mth.Very handsome individual with a wedge that is broad and even adorned by ears that show becoming flare, eyes of excellent shape and colour, set just a little deep, superior expression. Profile virtually straight, chin slopes back a little, bite level. Long slender body, graced by similar limbs and tail. Coat smoothly textured, matching apricot points, body glowing with a hint of matching shading. 2. RIDGEWAY’S HARTZIE BLAZE OF GLORY. M. (24k) 9mths 3wks.3. RIDGEWAY’S GALAXYOFSTARS. FN. (24) 1yr 11mths.X3 HARRIS’S SHERMESE PEGASUS MN (32 1) 1yr 6mths.
