CHESHIRE AREA CAT CLUB. 13 November, 2010. Dr BRUCE BENNETT.My thanks to Mesdames Parrish and Hughes for their kind invitation to this busy Show, my first visit, and Gillian and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks also to Richard Lord, who stepped in to steward at short notice and whose efficiency and pleasant company made the time speed by on a busy day. AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION MALE.Imp GR CC to GIBBONS’ GR CH RICHDALE LONE RANGER. M (24) 3yrs 9mths.What a pleasure to be allowed to award an Imperial to this stunning seal point boy. He has a long, even wedge, broad top between very large, well flared ears, well shaped oriental blue eyes. Profile proud and virtually straight, firm chin and level bite. Long rather lean body, limbs long and ready to spring, tail to balance. Coat is his main glory, a little long but condition good, simply wonderful warm seal brown points with totally dramatic warm clear creamy body for delightful contrast so rarely seen in today’s seal points AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE.Imp GR CC to MASON’S GR CH EPITOME SWEETDREAMS. F. (32b8) 4yrs 2wks.Lady of substance with a lovely, even, triangular wedge head, excellent breadth at the top between large ears flared in line, well shaped oriental eyes good blue shade, set marginally deep. Snooty profile, almost straight, chin firm, has lost the lower incisors, but bite looks to have been even. Very well developed body, substantial but lithe, limbs and tail balancing. Lovely coat, soft textured and close lying, attractive plum tinted caramel shade on the ears, cooler on other points, well broken by apricots, some with pleasing warmth, good off white body contrast AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND PREMIER MALE.Imp GR PC to HOWARD & HANDY’S GR PR AMARRICHI PRICELESS PRINCE. MN. (24) 3yrs 8mths.Very attractive seal point neuter, looking just a hint surprised to be competing in such an illustrious class. Strong wedge, tiniest pinch, good breadth at the top between large ears showing good flare to them, eyes of almond shape, good blue shade. Very good proud profile, showing a gentle smooth convexity. Excellent long, strong body, proportionate limbs and tail. Close coat, with seal points that have warm tints to them, good body contrast also with some warmth to it and very little shading. In spite of his maturity and excellent conformation, he manages to retain a youthful and appealingly innocent air. HAVANA NEUTER.1. (PC Withheld) THIRSK’S PR TENAJ BRONZE MYSTIC. MN. (29) 1yr 8mths.Boy with a short strong wedge head, ears of mid size, well spaced, large open eyes of chartreuse tint. Profile shows a dent at the bridge and a bit of a bump over the muzzle, good firm chin and level bite. Body well developed and strong, well balanced limbs and tail. Coat a little long, lies well, lovely smooth texture, quite dark shade though it has pleasing warmth, but it is unsound, one of the factors militating against the certificate today. LILAC POINT ADULT FEMALE.1 CC. BoB. WILLIAMS’ ROYSTERER TRULY-LOVELY. F. (24c) 9mths 3days.Attractive young lady, development appropriate to age and judged as such. Very good, slightly arched profile, chin lines up, bite meets. Good strong body, balanced limbs and tail. Close smooth-textured coat. Straight profile, aligned chin and level bite. Slender fine body, spare except where expanding just a little now at the waistline. Coat fairly close, she ‘fluffed’ it just a little over the spine; as always, the blue slightly on the dark side well broken by creams of varying shades. Happy and contented. 2. She is so well balanced overall, with a very even wedge head, good clear green oriental eyes, set well in it, ears of proportionate size, set well in line. Profile is straight and the chin and bite line up just so. The body is perhaps just a tad chunky, limbs and tail in keeping. Coat texture good, lying smooth and close, excellent texture, sound and of a brownish lilac shade. Nothing exaggerated here but it all hangs together most attractively. AV ORIENTAL KITTEN MALE.1. WEBSTER’S NANPEMA FLAMENCO. MN. (37d) 8mths 1wk.Well balanced individual with a strong, even wedge of medium length, oriental eyes of good clear green, well spaced ears showing good flare, virtually straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Excellent strong body, proportionate limbs and tail. Super coat texture, lying short, close and sleek, bright red with a spotted pattern that 38s would die for, clearly separated and defined body spotting with head, limb and tail markings in keeping. It looks so terrific one wishes that he did fly under the spotty banner. Has immense presence 2. SINCLAIR’S TRELAGANDORF TRADITIONAL. MN. (29) 8mths 4wks.Boy of very good type, even wedge, large ears, spaced and flared well in line, green oriental eyes with a most appealing tendency to squint that takes a bit of work to establish that it is intermittent. Excellent slightly arching profile, firm chin, incisors meet. Body long, elegant and slender, limbs and tail to match. Close lying coat, very good for soundness and texture, very dark chestnut shade. X2. BROWN’S HEMLOCK TAROT DE LA BRUJAS. M. (37) 4mths.Very handsome young man with a long, even wedge, large ears set well upon it, shaped oriental eyes of clear green. Very good straight profile, firm chin, teething, bite meets. Body well grown for age, limbs and tail in balance. Coat of kitten length, sound, sleek black. (37fn) 3mths 3wks.Tiny person of very good type and considerable potential. Balanced wedge head, ears set well in line showing good flare, attractive, sleepy oriental eyes of good green. Straight profile, excellent depth of muzzle, level bite. Very large substantial body sturdy long limbs, tail matches. Silken coat of mid length, shows good flow, tabby markings not quite sound, contrast with the warm ground. 2. FULLERTON’S GR PR STARAPPEAL SCENESTEALER. MN. (62 43a) 2yrs 3wks.Very striking individual with a very long, rather narrow wedge, ears following its lines up, oriental eyes of notable incline, would like a bit more intensity to the green. Good profile, just the shallowest hint of a dish. Chin lines up, bite meets. Long, long body, matching limbs and tail. Very long bluish coat, rather dry textured which diminishes flow, so that it stands in peaks about him like a whipped meringue, exposing the soft shady greyish beige of the standard undercoat. 3. MCPARLIN’S IGR PR FOXYPAWS RAMASSES. MN. (43a) 7yrs 2mths.Such a handsome, mature fellow unlucky to meet the younger lads above. Wedge even and strong, very pleasing without exaggeration but very well balanced by large ears set in line, might be just a little more widely spaced for preference, excellent green oriental eyes. Profile virtually straight, firm chin, no incisors now, bite looks to have met. Very good tubular, strong body, stands up tall and proud on long limbs. Coat short and close, clear bluish beige standard undercoat discernible over whole trunk, even over spine, darkish blue tipping there, commendably even.
