GCCF SUPREME SHOW. 20th November 2010. DR BRUCE BENNETTCongratulations to Celia and her team for another triumphantly realised Supreme Show, the highlight of the Show year and my thanks for the privilege conferred by the invitation to participate. Such a delight to see so many beautiful exhibits on the day. Thanks, too, to my splendid stewarding team, of Joan Pounds, Paula Budden and Ian Thompson, who all did a splendid job, as did the wonderful Ring team, Gillian, Caroline, Shar, Gaynor and Honor who kept all their judges in order with grace and good humour. CHOCOLATE/LILAC/CARAMEL/CINNAMON IMP/GR CHAMPION MALE.UK GR CC to OWEN’S IMPERIAL GR CH ROYSTERER SNOW DANDY. M (24c) 8.09.06.Wonderful male for both type and colour. Very strong wedge head of medium length, nothing extreme but with immense strength, even lines to it, contours of its edges softly bevelled and masculine, large ears set in good alignment, might be marginally more spaced, excellent oriental eyes of good blue shade. Strong profile, gentle arch to it, excellent depth of muzzle, level bite. Body quite superb, long and lean, limbs to match, tail just balancing. He seems to have lost some weight since I last saw him about six months ago and it suits him very well making him look much more youthful than I remembered. Coat glows marvellously, short and close, looking like magnolia velvet, beautiful pinkish grey points to complete the picture 2. and BoB to BRUNO-GRIEVE’S GR CH FLUTTERBY CONQUISTADOR. M. (24b) 12.6.09.Very handsome youth with a lovely broad top to his wedge, between large ears of excellent flare; superb oriental eyes of deep blue. Excellent, proudly arching profile, adding a touch of arrogance in spite of his youth; Muzzle and chin might be just a little deeper, level bite. Firmly muscled body of mid size, limbs and tail proportionate. Coat of good texture, very good warm milk chocolate points, mask a touch darker than paws and tail, (the only chocolate today with points approaching true milk chocolate), very good clear ivory body for attractive contrast. CHOCOLATE/LILAC/CARAMEL/CINNAMON POINT IMP/GR CHAMPION FEMALE.UK GR CC and BoB to DUNCAN’S IMP. GR CH BRYTHAIS AURORA. F. (24c) 23.06.05.Very handsome lady indeed, excellent strength, type and colour. Very lovely equilateral triangle to her wedge, with excellent broad top and large ears set to follow its lines exactly. Super oriental eyes of deep blue, strong profile, smoothly convex, good depth of muzzle, bite meets. Long, firm body, balancing limbs, neat paws, proportionate tail. Coat close lying with excellent silken texture, matching warm mid lilac points with very good clear magnolia body for contrast. A very close run thing for the BoB; while I found the male quite gorgeous, the girl’s precise triangular wedge and ear alignment just tipped the balance. CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE CHAMPION, MALE.1. GR CC to GRAY’S CH LYNNOX KASANOVA. M. (24b) 23.09.08.Very long, lithe boy of good type, but oh so retiring. Long, long head, little pinch, good breadth at the top between sizeable, well flared ears, eyes of good almond shape, marginally open initially, coming down as he relaxed a little, acceptable blue. Strong profile, smoothly convex, chin slopes marginally, bite level. Excellent long, lithe body, balancing limbs and tail. Coat slightly long, but texture good. Slightly dark chocolate points, matching well with good contrast to the ivory body that shows a little matching shading. CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE CHAMPION, FEMALE.1. GR CC to TOSUN’S CH PALMIRA NERISSA. F. (24b) 5.09.08.Looking her best today perhaps because she was on her tippy toes and exhibiting some minx like temperament. Dainty girl with a lengthy wedge showing a marginal pinch, on which her large, open ears were beautifully flared in line, almond eyes, well set on the incline, blue of good depth. Body long and slender, matching limbs, good length of tail to balance. Coat a little long, lying close and smooth, points slightly dark but warm chocolate, good ivory body for contrast. Looked her best in the pen where she didn’t have to make a point. LILAC POINT SIAMESE PRE-CHAMPION, MALE.1.CC to GRAY’S LYNNOX MONTE CRISTO. M. (24c) 24.10.09.Lively, very vocal youth of good type. Lengthy wedge, even lines to it apart from the trace of a pinch, very lovely oriental eye shape when he relaxed, clear blue, ears of good size, flared and open. Correct profile, just smoothly convex, chin lines up, bite meets. Slender neck, long strong body and limbs, proportionate tail. Coat slightly fluffed with excitement at his first Supreme, soft texture, warm, mid lilac points, contrasting well with the clear magnolia body. An innocent adolescent at present. CARAMEL POINT SIAMESE PRE-CHAMPION, FEMALE.1 CC and BoB to MARTIN’S ABICASA NELLA FANTASIA. F. (24n) 12.12.09.Well named lady of slightly outrageous type. Triangular wedge with a wee pinch to it, enormous ears set slinkily low and wide, ready to take off into the stratosphere. Almond eyes just a little open, clear blue in colour. Profile basically straight though it wanders ever so slightly, chin slopes marginally, incisors meet, scissored over. Body quite well developed for age, limbs to match, dainty paws, balancing tail. Healthy coat shows bluish caramel points, blue nose leather, mulberry paw pads, good contrast though there is quite a bit of shading already on the off white body. CHOCOLATE/LILAC/CARAMEL/CINNAMON POINT SIAMESE IMP/GR PREMIER, MALE.1. UK GR PC to KERSEY’S GR PR MALIKASIAM WILBUR-MEWZED. MN. (24c) 6.09.07.Big strong boy of good type. Long, even wedge sporting large ears set well when he relaxed back into his pen, excellent oriental eyes of good blue shade, large ears placed and flared well. Profile a smooth shallow curve, chin firm, bite meets. Very good large strong body and limbs, balancing tail. Tiny bare patch on neck, declared innocuous by the Honorary Veterinary Surgeon. Good soft lilac points with soft matching shading on the magnolia body, plentiful contrast. CHOCOLATE/LILAC/CARAMEL/CINNAMON POINT SIAMESE IMP/GR PREMIER, FEMALE.1. UK GR PC to MARTIN’S GR CH & IMP GR PR ABICASA CARMINA BURANA. FN. (24c) 13.02.07.Handsome lady, very pleasing head, an equilateral triangle with widely spaced ears of good size and flare, gorgeous oriental eye shape and incline, good depth of blue. Strong, smooth profile, chin slopes just a tad, incisors meet. Body ever so slightly matronly, strong, lengthy limbs, tail balancing. Points a warm mid lilac shade, body showing good magnolia contrast, slightly irregular lilac shading over the back, excellent smooth fine texture. 2. GREEN’S IMP GR CH & GR PR MAPU ALLEGRA. FN. (24n) 30.10.04.Another very fine lady whom I have always admired. She has a very beautiful, very well balanced wedge crowned by large ears set in very good alignment. Lovely blue eyes of very good shape and alignment. Good gently arching profile, chin slopes back a little, bite meets. Dainty body, fine limbs, tail to match. Close coat shows matching soft caramel points with excellent contrast to the off white body. Close call between these two quite different ladies; the lilac won out having just a little more substance and presence. BoB LILAC POINT SIAMESE NEUTER. Awarded to JOHNSON’S UK & IMP GR PR ROYSTERER APRIL FOOL. MN. (24c) 1.4.98.(who did not enter his open class). Wow, what a marvellous gentleman, aged 12 but easily outstripping the younger contestants, and carrying his years with great ease and dignity. Exquisitely balanced wedge, widely spaced ears of good size and alignment, beautifully shaped and incline oriental eyes of very good blue. Profile straight, deep, strong muzzle, firm chin, level bite. Long strong body, not too fat, not too thin, excellently firm for age. Balancing limbs and tail. Very good soft pinky lilac points with wonderful clear magnolia body for contrast. An example to his juniors. CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE PREMIER NEUTER, MALE.1 GR PC CRUMPLER’S PR SARNAJES SULTAN 0F SWING. MN. (24b) 3.02.08.Friendly boy who knows how to ingratiate himself, purred happily throughout our encounter. Long wedge with just the hint of a pinch, widely spaced large open ears, flared in line, almond shaped eyes of good blue tone. Profile almost straight, chin lines up, bite meets. Body long and lithe, slender limbs, neat paws, balancing tail. Close coat, showing quite excellent totally clear ivory body for contrast to the rich warm chocolate points that are that are just slightly darker than ideal. 2. TURVEY’S PR STYPERSON BIJOU. MN. (24b) 7.08.06.Slightly brusque lad with a long wedge head, pinch evident, on which ears of good size are set and flared well; oriental eyes of good blue shade, nicely inclined. Profile shows just a little dip at the brow, chin firm, bite level. Another long, svelte body with matching slender limbs, tail just long enough. Coat slightly long but texture good, lying well. Points a darker chocolate than the winners’ with very good contrast to the ivory body showing slight chocolate shading over the back. CARAMEL POINT SIAMESE PREMIER MALE.1. GR PC to TURVEY’S PR STYPERSON MYSTIQUE. MN. (24n) 7.08.06.Not a happy person today, but it was all hot air so we carried on regardless (or rather, carried on cautiously!) Lovely strong triangular wedge head of mid length, with beautiful almond eyes of deep blue, very well spaced and flared ears. Profile gently angled at the brow, straight planes above and below this, deep muzzle, chin lines up, bite meets. Very large, strong body, balancing limbs and tail. Short fine coat, points very soft toned and would pass for lilac in some lights, excellent pale body for good contrast. 2. JOHNSON’S PR ADNIOAM JUST-ABOUT-ME. MN. (24n) 7.02.09.Rather startled expression to this boy of good type. Wedge long and even, on which are set large ears, flared in line, eyes of oriental shape and incline, mid blue. Smoothly arched profile, chin sloping just a little incisors meet just scissored over. Slender body and limbs, tail balances. Coat texture good, points dark, blue based, soft body shading in similar tones, sufficient contrast.
