BRISTOL & DISTRICT CAT CLUB18th April 2009DR BRUCE BENNETTA large and busy Show ably piloted by Elaine, Lisa and John, to whom many thanks for the invitation, and to Sarah Finch who stepped in to steward, performing the role with expertise, diligence and panache; we had a most enjoyable day and I hope that she enjoyed meeting the Siamese and Orientals. AC GR CH SIAMESE/ORIENTAL ADULT MALEWhat a wonderful start to the day; two splendid gentlemen. 1, IMP GR CC. COOK’S GR CH JOHPAS LOOKSLIKEGOLD. (32a) 2yrs.Glorious lad, with great self assurance and presence. Excellent balanced, equilateral wedge with large ears magnificently spaced and flared, beautiful oriental incline to his deep blue eyes. Profile shows a little bump over the muzzle which is of good depth, chin lines up, bite meets. Body long and strong, balanced limbs and tail, all lazily and gracefully disposed on his blankets. Clear body , warm white in tone and of excellent satiny texture, short and close, graced by contrasting soft red-gold points. I learned later that this was his fifth Imperial certificate; congratulations. 2. RES IMP GR CC. MORT-WILLIAMS’ IMP GR CH CHAIROSS DEMETRIUS. (24b) 5yrs 11mths.Another wonderful gentleman, also fully deserving of Imperial status. Long wedge showing just a hint of a pinch beneath his superior cheek bones, broad top between large, well placed ears, lovely oriental eyes of blue that had an appealing hint of violet in the hall light. Long profile showing the slightest dent below the brow line, good deep chin, level bite. Mature long body, lithe and slightly spare, limbs and tail graceful and strong, in balance. Coat slightly long, good texture to it, showing wonderful, unshaded ivory body, truly remarkable, with good contrast from his warm mid chocolate points. FOREIGN WHITE KITTEN, FEMALE.1. BoB. MUIR-TAYLOR’S TILDEN WICKEDINWHITE. 6mths 4wksVery pleasing little girl who has an even wedge on which large ears are well placed and spaced, flared in line, bonneted a tad when she checked out all that interesting Show activity. Eyes well shaped, set marginally straight, good depth of blue. Body quite well developed, graceful and firm, matching limbs, and slightly knobbly tail that was appealingly bottlebrushed with excitement, and might be just a little longer. Very good clear pristine white coat. Nice. ORIENTAL BLACK KITTEN, FEMALE.1 BoB withheld. VERLANDER’S KAMKAI WHATCHAMACALLIT. 7mths 3wks.Glossy coated lady with a slightly pinched wedge on which ears of size are held marginally up. Eyes a little open, hint of olive round the pupils, gold outwith that. Profile shows an appealing little bump above the muzzle that is of depth, excellent level bite. Body graceful, limbs and tail in proportion. Coat slightly long, excellent sheeny sound black throughout. Just one or two little problems prevents the award of BoB at present. ORIENTAL BLUE KITTEN, MALE.1. BoB HOLT’S ADATESH DOT N DASH. MN. 8mths.Lovely big strong lad of very good type. Long wedge, slightest pinch, large ears following its lines out becomingly, orientally shaped eyes of clear light green. Super straight profile, excellent depth of muzzle, chin lines up, incisors meet. Very well grown body, matching limbs and tail that might be just a little longer for preference. Superb texture to his coat that is of sound and very even toned, good blue in the pen though when he was out there was a touch of sepia and his paw pads still show a hint of pink. ORIENTAL LONGHAIR KITTEN, FEMALE.1. BoB. POUNDS’ PIPPASTRO SILVER PHANTOM. (62 43s)What a lovely head this young lady has, an even equilateral, almost masculine in its strength. Large ears widely spaced and flared in line, excellent oriental eyes for shape and tilt, light green tone. Very good straight profile, chin lines up and of good depth, level bite. Firm body, balancing limbs and tail, though she would not extend it for us. Coat already of almost adult length with established flow. Silver undercoat to about 2/3 of the shaft length.
