LAKELAND CAT CLUB

20th June, 2009
Dr BRUCE BENNETT
Gillian and I had a great weekend in the Lake District at this busy Show, run con brio by Messrs Irving and Kavanagh and their team, to whom many thanks for their invitation. Gaynor Rothwell came to steward for me and kept me focussed during a busy day and was a most aggreable companion as well. I hope that she enjoyed her day and will steward for me again in the future.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GR CH FEMALE.

1. Imp GCC Withheld. GREEN’S GR CH MAPU FIRENZE. F. (24n) 2yrs 2mths.
Very elegant lady with a lovely even wedge full face, aligned ears, spaced quite well, eyes of good shape, slightly red rimmed on the day, excellent blue shade. Straight profile, chin however rather receding, bite meets. Slender neck, body more substantial, dainty limbs and paws, tail needs just a little length. Coat marginally open, lovely matching caramel points with super contrast to the pale off white body showing a hint of matching shading over the hips. Very attractive but not quite there at this stratospheric level.

FOREIGN WHITE ADULT.

1. CC. BoB. BRASH’S RIVANESS MIZ BELLE. F (35) 9mths 4wks.
Strong little lady, well developed for her age. Even shortish to medium length wedge head, ears well set, might be just a smidge larger for preference. Eyes of good blue and oriental shape and incline, profile shows a very gentle angle at the brow, straight planes above and below this. Strong body, balancing limbs, neat paws, tail might be just a little longer for balance. Lovely coat, excellent texture, eye dazzlingly white throughout.

ORIENTAL TORTOISESHELL ADULT.

1. CC. SHORT’S CHAPELROSE FROM ME TO YOU. F (37m) 1yr.
Elegant wee soul, with an even wedge, ears well aligned and of quite good size, sleepy eyes of light olive green and oriental shape, profile nearly straight, strong chin, bite just meeting. Dainty slender body, and limbs, neat paws, whip tail with the tiniest terminal bobble. Close coat, lovely warm cinnamon, well broken in warm shades, some faint leg bars evident.
BoB. HOLDSWORTH’S GR CH BILLSTES TIFFANY. F. (37m) 1yr 11mths.

1. BoB. HINCHCLIFFE’S PIPPASTRO BUTTERFLY LION. M. (62 43a) 4mths 4wks.
Handsome kitten with his stable’s very strong, even wedge head, well aligned ears of good size, excellent oriental eyes of good clear green. Profile virtually straight, strength and depth of muzzle, firm chin, level bite. Well developed body, balancing limbs and tail. Coat already developing length and flow in spite of extreme youth, texture a little dry at present. Undercoat perhaps one third of the way up the hair shafts, body a cool toned blue with commendably little tabby evident, the expected tabby features on the mask and limbs outlined against a soft creamy beige background.
