SUFFOLK & NORFOLK CAT CLUB
16th May 2009
Dr BRUCE BENNETT.
My thanks to Helen, Sean and Sue for the invitation to this large Show and our compliments to them and their coutouriers; they all looked stunningly glamorous in their themed costumes. Thanks too to Joan Pounds for travelling to steward for me; we had a busy day among some lovely exhibits and I hope that she enjoyed it as much as I did.
AC SIAMESE OR BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION MALE
IMP GR CC to OWEN’S GR CH ROYSTERER SNOWDANDY. (24c) 8.09.06
Super large gentleman of very strong type and superb colour. Gentle and affectionate demeanour too. Mature, equilateral wedge of mid length, excellent breadth between proportionately sized ears showing lovely balancing flare in line, beautiful oriental eyes of very creditable blue, with a beatific expression. Profile virtually straight, muzzle shows the strength and depth that I particularly value in a male, chin lines up, incisors a little untidy but oppose well on average. Body of great masculine strength, limbs and tail in balance. Coat of silken texture, lying short and close, excellent soft lilac points colour with the required hint of pink to it, stunning unshaded magnolia body to contrast. Lazy bones.
ORIENTAL LILAC ADULT, FEMALE.
1. CC BoB. HORNSBY’S CH METEXA MAKURA. (29c) 18.06.06.
Substantial girl of lovely type, with a very even, equilateral wedge, large balancing ears, spaced and flared well, super green oriental eyes. Good profile, attractive muzzle depth, chin lines up and incisors meet well. Substantial body, just a little expending at the waist suggesting recent family duties perhaps, balancing limbs and tail. Longish coat with what looked like some plucking over the lower back in the sacral region, colour showing a hint of sandiness to the lilac tone.
AC BALINESE KITTEN.
1 BoB Withheld. ROSS’S WILLOWSILK STAR ORION. M. (61t) 22.09.08.
Lad of fairly good type, almost eight months and well grown though rather lacking masculinity as yet. Equilateral wedge, muzzle rather fine, ears well placed on it, and tended to be bonneted, would like them a little larger to balance head. Eyes of oriental shape, held slightly open in amazement at it all, mid blue shade. Very good straight profile, chin rather shallow and slopes back at present. Strong, muscular body, matching limbs, excellent length of tail. Coat in process of development, plume well furnished, on body at present it lacks flow and fineness. Tabby pattern shows very good facial tracings, thumb prints, terrific bracelets (don’t know when I last saw so many) faint tail rings Excellent clear contrasting body.
BLUE POINT SIAMESE MALE NEUTER.
1. PC Withheld. WEAVER’S BRYTHAIS BLUE TOPAZ. MN (24a) 23.05.08.
Boy of delicious type, lovely even wedge head, perhaps a little fine and elegant for a male neuter of a year, but he has more time to develop. Large ears very well set in alignment, eyes of very good deep blue and attractive almond shape, superior expression. Profile dead straight, chin just a little shallow, bite level. Graceful body, balancing limbs and tail. Good coat texture, points a very dark blue with a body heavily shaded in similar tones, the reason for which I was obliged to withhold which I was sorry to have to do to a person of such elegant type.
LILAC POINT SIAMESE FEMALE NEUTER.
1. PC. FREEMAN’S CH KRISTIKATS SERAPHINA FN. (24c) 9.12.06.
Pretty very dainty lady of good type. Well balanced wedge head, lovely broad top, large flared ears to enhance it; excellent oriental eye shape with good blue tone. Profile fairly straight, firm chin, level bite. Slender body, balancing limbs and tail. Coat texture to her coat that shows points of a lilac shade with hints of plum, contrasting body showing little shading.
BoB. MARTIN’S GR CH ABICASA CARMINA BURANA. FN. (24c) 13.02.07.
Lady of lovely type, beautifully balanced wedge, super breadth at the top between large ears, flared just so, excellent oriental inclined eyes of deep, lustrous blue. Profile virtually straight, chin might be just a hint deeper for preference, incisors level. Strong body, well balanced limbs and tail. Close coat shows matching points of good mid lilac tone, magnolia body showing gentle shading of similar hue.
CARAMEL POINT SIAMESE MALE NEUTER.
1PC. BoB. MARTIN’S PR ABICASA PEER GYNT. MN. (24n) 14.02.08
Handsome gent, with a lovely even wedge head, huge breadth at its top between large ears showing very pleasing flare. Excellent almond eye shape, upper lid set just a little straight, blue good. Very good straight profile, chin a tad shallow, bite meets. Strong lithe body, matched by limbs and tail of length with a teeny terminal pip. Dark points, in the bluish sector of the range, similar shading to the body, but contrast evident.
TORTIE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER.
1. PC. DINSDALE’S GR CH & PR APPLEJACK BLUEFENIX. FN. (32b2) 24.01.04.
Mature lady with a very good even wedge of mid length, hint of jowls now, good top with well spaced ears of size, shaped eyes, attractive blue. Very good straight profile, depth of muzzle, chin lines up, bite level. Comfy body, balanced limbs, tail needing a little length for balance and terminal vertebra has a little invisible twist. Mid blue points, well broken by shades that are still a creditable pale cream with a little warmth now at the ear bases. Body quite heavily shaded now.
BoB. COOK’S IMP GR CH & IMP GR PR TIANLEX BLUE BLAZER. FN. (32b2) 1.03.01.
Nice to meet this super aristocrat again, now at 8+ years. Excellent even, balanced wedge, superb top with large flared ears, lovely oriental eye shape and slant, good blue still. Smoothly arching profile, level chin and bite. Body long and substantial but retaining svelte trimness, limbs balancing, tail of length. Tortie points soft blue with excellent pale breaks, again just a hint of warmth to the cream at the ear bases. Body shows typical tortie shading but she retains good contrast. A dignified socialite I feel.
CREAM POINT SIAMESE MALE NEUTER.
1. PC. BoB. MUIR-TAYLOR’S GR PR GLENTHORNE EURWYN. MN. (32c) 7.06.06.
Very elegant gent with a long even wedge had, attractive top framed by ears of excellent size and flare, eyes excellent for shape and set, very good deep blue shade. Long straight profile, level chin, irregular incisors meet. Long firm body graceful limbs length of tail proportionate. Silky close coat shows points of slightly warm cream shade with soft similar shading to the warm white of the body. The whole effect is of a lovely glow in this Hall’s light, very appealing even if the standard calls for cool tones.
APRICOT POINT SIAMESE MALE NEUTER.
1 IC. BoB. CLARKE’S HARTZIE GOLDEN CHANCE. MN. (32fn) 8.09.07.
Another very elegant fellow with a long oriental wedge head, inclined eyes of deep blue. Broad top between large ears flaring well. Arching profile, chin OK, more irregular incisors that are basically level. Substantial long firm body and limbs, tail to match. Points a warm apricot (did the light lend warmth in general I wonder?), good body contrast, a little toning shading there. Faint tabby pattern ghosting the points.
AV ORIENTAL NON-BREEDER’S ADULT.
1. HORNSBY’S CH METEXA MAKURA. (29c) 18.06.06.
2. SAXON’S CH TIJANMEEK MERCEDES. F. (37a) 19.04.07.
Pleasing lady but quite determined not to show herself off. Medium length wedge, marginal pinch, ear set good though seldom seen on the day because of timidness, excellent wicked green eyes. Profile shows a little bump above the nose leather, chin and bite seemed level. Neat medium body, limbs and tail to match. Excellent coat texture with some gloss evident, fairly sound, even blue. Not an extrovert.
3. REDFEARN’S ADAJAN PACHIULI. F. (48h) 16.04.08.
Lass of average type, with a shorter wedge, ears held a little high, open olive-gold toned eyes, good straight profile, chin lacks strength, bite level. Dear chunky body and limbs, fat little tail. Coat marginally long, sleek texture, wonderful jewel bright colours, shining black areas broken by scintillating reds. Plentiful dazzling white everywhere, on limbs and down tummy, invading the coloured areas here and there .
AV ORIENTAL KITTEN.
1. ABBOTT’S TILDEN’S WHISPERING CHENAZZ. F. (35) 21.09.08.
Girl with an even, slightly narrow wedge, ears of size, aligned to it, surprised oriental eyes of good blue, innocent expression. Very good straight profile, chin lines up, bite meets. Body of mid size, balanced limbs and tail. Coat a little long, excellent fine silky texture, clear white.
AV ORIENTAL LIMIT KITTEN.
1. MAISH’S CHIKUAI CALYPSO. F. (37h) 23.10.08.
Well grown young lady, looking mature for her age. Typy long even wedge, large flaring ears to complement it, wicked expression to her olive green, almond shaped eyes. Profile just convex, chin level, bite meets. Attractive long lithe body and limbs, excellent long whip tail. Coat fine and close, mid chocolate with numerous bright red breaks adding radiance to the overall picture. Later best oriental, congratulations.
2. TITTERALL’S BABADAS ASIFBYMAJIC. M. (37) 6.01.09.
Promising little fellow with a lovely wedge head, tiny kitten pinch at present, sizeable ears flared becomingly, oriental eyes of clear green. Excellent profile, just a hint aquiline, chin could be a little deeper for preference but it lines up well, bite meets. Body quite well developed, limbs and tail in keeping. Coat of kittenish length, good slick texture, sound shining black.
AV ORIENTAL BREEDER’S NEUTER.
1. SMITH’S GR PR MOUSTACHES FENTEN FAUVE. MN. (37fn) 22.06.99.
Splendid senior of excellent type and size, has seen it all before, but quite likes it and will do it all again with good humour. Wedge strong and even, great breadth at the top between large ears, placed well, oriental eyes, well inclined and clear light green. Profile shows a gentle dip at the brow, chin level, all teeth present, well done, and incisors meet. Magnificent large strong body, and limbs, like a small panther, tail could be a little longer. Crisp coat, a lovely smooth, even, sound apricot. Very impressive gent, keen to socialize.
2. LANCASTER’S SUSPIRIA ELLERY QUEEN. MN. (37r) 19.01.08.
Handsome individual with a medium long wedge, ears of size, needing a little more space between and just a tad more flare, very good eyes for shape and colour. Profile just slightly dished, chin lines up, irregular incisors level. Strong, medium sized body, limbs and tail in proportion. Lovely even sound mushroomy coat of good texture.
3. ABBOTT’S PR CHENAZZ MRBLUESKY. MN. (37a) 12.04.07.
AV ORIENTAL RADIUS NEUTER.
1. ELLIS’S GR PR MYLYNN MOONSHADOW. MN. (62.20) 1.12.06.
Wonderful strong head type with an even, equilateral wedge head, strong boning, broad top between large ears showing excellent flare. Oriental eyes of clear green with a super lowering expression. Aristocratic profile, chin lines up, bite level. Large strong body, limbs and tail balance. Coat of excellent texture, perhaps a little short over the back but showing very good flow in general, clear brownish black tabby pattern, though somewhat solid over lower back. Overall picture most impressive.
2. MARSTON’S CH & GR PR STYPERSON TIGERLILY FN. (29c) 28.02.02.
Lady of good type with an even wedge, broad top adorned by large ears, oriental shape to her eyes of light green. Little dip to her profile, chin slopes gently, bite looks level. Medium body, limbs and tail to match. Coat very open, mid lilac tones. Quite a cross patch today.

Excellent profile, just convex, chin could be a little stronger, bite meets. Slender youthful body though had lunched well and was now sleeping it off, matching limbs and tail.
