WEST OF ENGLAND AND SOUTH WALES CAT CLUB.

29th August, 2009
DR BRUCE BENNETT
A busy and thoroughly enjoyable Show run with gusto by Grace and Sandra, to whom many thanks for the invitation to be participate. Jane Haggar came to steward for me and as always was a total pleasure to work with. Congratulations on the Imperial status Jane, and I look forward to when we can work together again.

IMPERIAL CLASS – AC GR PR SIAMESE/BALINESE NEUTER MALE.

Imp GR CC to. WALLACE’S IMP GR PR ROZANDEAN SIMBA MFALME. MN. (32a) 6yrs 3mths.
Very well balanced individual with a lovely even wedge head, large ears set and flared just so, beautifully spaced. Eyes of lovely languid expression, almond shaped and of good blue. Strong profile, gentlest angle at the brow, straight otherwise, chin slopes very gently, incisors level. Firmly muscled body, slender limbs, neat paws, balancing tail. Pleasing coat texture, perhaps marginally long, soft red points, excellent contrast to warm white of the body that shows just a touch of shading on the spine line.
2. (res Imp GR CC Withheld). BRINE’S GR PR MYSYAMEEZ GALILEO. MN (24c) 3yrs 3wks.
Loved this boys’ sleepy look from the wonderfully slanted oriental eyes of mid blue. Long wedge, hint of a pinch, large ears following its lines well, might be a tad more spaced for preference. Another gently angled profile with straight planes above and below, strong chin, level bite. Lithe body and limbs, tail of length showing an easily palpable little twist in the terminal vertebrae. Attractive, well matched mid lilac points with excellent contrast to the unmarked magnolia body. I wanted to award, but this is a stratospheric level.

Also Considered.
COPELAND’S GR PR FLOWERDEW GREAT EXPECTATIONS. MN (24) 1yr 7mths.
Boy of very good type with a long wedge, little pinch showing, wonderful inclined oriental shaped eyes, blue needing a bit more depth for preference, huge spaced ears, held slightly bonneted on the day. Elegant arched profile, good depth of muzzle, firm chin, level bite. Body firm and elegant, limbs ditto, tail needs a little length ideally. Coat texture attractive, dense seal points, body shading evident but contrast there.
HUTCHINGS GR PR WILLHAVETODO SIR PERCY. MN (24n) 3yrs 3mths.
Handsome large fellow with a long wedge on which large ears are becomingly spaced and flared, eyes rather open with blue needing a touch more depth for preference. Good straight profile, chin sloping a little, incisors meeting. Very handsome long, strong body, matching limbs, tail needing a tad to keep up. Close lying coat shows good typical caramel points, well matched with a little shading in similar tones on the contrasting off white body.

IMPERIAL CLASS – AC GR PR SIAMESE/BALINESE NEUTER FEMALE.

1. Imp GR CC Withheld. MEEK’S GR PR SHERMESE CHINA DOLL. FN (24) 2yrs 3mths.
Mature lady with a very lovely even equilateral wedge full face, large ears spaced and flared to flatter, inclined oriental eyes, just as I like them, blue could be a little deeper. Profile shows a distinct dip at the brow and a bump over the muzzle, strong chin, level incisors. Elegant body and limbs, excellent long whip tail. Smooth textured coat, nice seal points, some shading to the body but good contrast evident.

AC ORIENTAL CHAMPION ADULT MALE.

GR CC to DAWE’S GR CH WESTGARTH FOOLSGOLD. M. (37k) 1yr 5mths.
Powerful individual of good strong type, reported on very recently.

AC ORIENTAL CHAMPION ADULT FEMALE.

GR CC to SAXON’S CH TIJANMEEK MERCEDES.. F. (37a) 2yrs 4mths.
Shy girl of good development and type, with a strong wedge on which proportionate ears are well placed and flared, oriental eyes of clear light green. Profile virtually straight, chin strong, bite just acceptable. Strong body balancing limbs and tail. Coat of excellent texture, short and close, very lovely even sound soft blue shade.
RES GR CC to HANDLEY’S CH FLOWERDEW FREEMA. F. (37) 2yrs 2mths.
Lass of good type with a strong wedge, nicely even, ears of size, spaced and flared well, wonderful wicked expression to her almond shaped, inclined eyes of olive green. Profile shows a tiny incline at the brow, otherwise straight, strong chin of depth, incisors meet. Good strong body and limbs, tail just long enough. Gleaming black sound coat with the occasional scattered white hair mainly over the shoulders which we forgave as indicative of previous amorous encounters.

Also considered.
WILLS’ CH KASSALIC FORBIDDEN SECRET. F. (29) 2yrs 2mths.
Neat girl of good type but really too small for a two year old. Even wedge, very well balanced on which ears are well set and flared in line, eyes shape oriental, light green in tone. Very good, gently arched profile, firm chin and level bite. Dainty body and limbs, proportionate tail. Coat slightly long, good smooth texture, of a shade that is too dark for conformity.

LILAC POINT SIAMESE ADULT MALE.

1 CC. MORGAN’S CH ASTRALBLAESE PEGASUS. M. (24c) 3yrs 3mths.
Strong lad with a mid length wedge, fairly even, ears well placed and flared, might be a little larger for preference, oval eyes of mid blue, squinting appealingly when attention engaged but it is not sustained. Good profile, just convex, muzzle could be a little deeper for a male, bite meets. Strong body of mid size, limbs and tail proportionate. Coat a little long but condition good, points of mid lilac, wonderful, unshaded pale body.

LILAC POINT SIAMESE FEMALE.

1. CC. BoB. BLACKBURN’S MINERVAMOON NORTHERNDANCER. F. (24c) 9mths 3wks.
Attractive young lady, size appropriate to her youth. Wedge an even equilateral triangle, proportionate ears spaced and flared well upon it, excellent shape to her oriental eyes of deepest blue shade. Profile virtually straight, deep chin, bite just meeting. Firm body and limbs, proportionate tail. Coat a little long, matching points of mid lilac with a hint of warmth, clear pale body for contrast. Pleasing girl.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE ADULT MALE.

1. CC. TAYLOR’S CH MAHEREROE KINDASSIE. M. (24b) 1yr 9mths.
Very good, even wedge to this lad, a nice equilateral with ears of good size, placed and flared well, eyes well shaped and good blue. Profile straight, chin slopes a little, incisors meet scissored over. Long, slightly spare, muscular body, balancing limbs and tail. Soft chocolate points, some brindling evident, slight shading to the body.
2. GRAY’S LYNNOX KASANOVA. M. (24b) 11 mths 1wk.
Terrified adolescent with a long, slightly pinched wedge, ears spaced and flared quite well upon it but totally unwilling to reveal their precise set. Eye shape seemed basically good but also modified by his mood, mid blue. Very good long straight profile, chin a little shallow, very good even bite. Very attractive long firm body and limbs, tail to match. Nice chocolate points, ears a little darker, super clear unshaded magnolia body.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE.

1. CC. CRUMPLER’S MALIKASIAM SPIRITOFDAISY. F. (24b) 2yrs 9mths.
Mature lady of good type. Very good wedge, even and equilateral, sizeable ears set and flared well, lovely oriental shape to her eyes of good blue and excellent expression. Tiny scoop to her profile, very strong chin, incisors gon..! Substantial body and limbs, tail to match Points a darkish chocolate, mask not complete on the whisker pads, excellent pale clear ivory body.
BoB. MORT-WILLIAMS’ Imp GR CH. CHAIROSS DEMETRIUS. M. (24b) 6yrs 4mths.
What an aristocrat! Huge grave fellow who did nothing in a hurry but considered every move carefully. Massive head boning, very strong even wedge, ears set and spaced beautifully, might be marginally larger to balance everything else, eyes of very good oriental shape and incline, good blue, wonderful tolerant expression. Profile not quite straight, little dish at the bridge, chin and bite level. Huge strong body and limbs, tail to match. Coat slightly long, lies close, well matched mid chocolate points with warmth and wonderful clear ivory body. A true gent, through and through. Later Best Siamese Adult, Congratulations.

Also Considered:
MORT-WILLIAMS’ CH CHAIROSS ZENELEPHON. F. (24b) 1yr 10mths.
Rangy girl with a long wedge on which large ears are set in line, might be a little more widely spaced for preference to give breadth at the top, eyes well shaped, mid blue. Profile nearly straight, chin and bite OK. Long slender body with similar limbs and tail. Points a warm mid chocolate shade, mask very incomplete, striking contrast to the unmarked very pale, almost white body.

RED POINT SIAMESE KITTEN FEMALE.

Super class, every entry worth a BoB.
1. BoB. DAVIES’ JOHPAS RUBY TALLULAH. F. (32a) 6mths 2wks.
Utterly delicious girl, strongly reminiscent of her delectable mother. Super broad top to her very even, equilateral wedge, lovely ears for size and set, slumberous oriental eyes, enigmatic expression, good blue. Smoothly arched profile, chin lines up, could for perfection be a little deeper, level bite. Firm, well developed body, graceful limbs and paws, balancing tail. Soft red points, with excellent contrast to the totally clear warm white body. Reserved and mysterious.
2. GOULD’S MYLYNN MAISEE B. F. (32a) 4mts 3wks.
Another total charmer, belle-of-the-ball type flirt. Dainty, even wedge, adorned by huge, flyaway ears and well inclined eyes of good depth of blue. Profile virtually straight, tiniest dent at the bridge at present, chin lines up, teething incisors meet. Slender body and limbs, good for her age, super tail. Bright points colour with very good contrast to the clear body. Pirouetted around in true Scarlett O’Hara fashion.

Lovely mite, with a long wedge, tiny kitten pinch present, huge ears, very well spaced and flared, very good eyes for shape end excellent deep blue, profile almost straight, chin and bite level. Neat little body and limbs, good whip tail. Kitten coat shows points of a soft shade, good body contrast. Promising.
4. BUTTON’S ALFACENTORY PUTARA. F. (32a) 8mths 3wks.
Met this girl first and thought. ‘Well, we’ve got a good BoB winner already’. Good even wedge, well spaced and flared ears of size, lovely oriental eyes of good blue, profile showing gently convex, level chin and bite. Body quite well developed, might expect a touch more size at this age, limbs and tail in proportion. Nice coat texture, points a slightly sandy shade, gentle shading in similar tone over the spine on the warm white body. Shy lass.

Coat well textured, dense black, well mingled with various shades of red.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE NON-BREEDER’S ADULT MALE.

Not as entered. RUDGE’S MAGICAL MOONLITESONATA. M. 1yr 4mths.
Cautious fellow of good basic type. Medium length, even wedge on which ears are well placed, would prefer them a little larger for balance, eyes of oriental almond shape, mid blue. Good arching profile, level chin, bite meets. Strong body, matching limbs and tail. Well grown boy who was very shy today, wedge even and of mid length, eyes slightly open, blue good, large ears held a little up; some of the eye and ear features may have reflected his alarm. Good straight profile, did not examine bite to spare him further stress. Long, well developed body and limbs, tail of length with a tiny terminal pip.
