NORMA FARNSWORTH EASTERN COUNTIES CAT SOCIETY 7th. AUGUST 2010

Many thanks to Audrey and her team for the invitation to this popular show. Masses of space at Wood Green so no trouble getting around the pens. A very good lunch with excellent company and a very good steward in Richard Lord. The first time Richard has stewarded for me and he proved to be excellent in every respect, he handled the exhibits with sympathy and has a very good eye for type.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND PREMIER MALE :

IMP.GR.PR.MACKENZIE-SPROAT’S GR.PR.ADATEAM CINNPHONY CHESTER(24k) 21.6.07

Beautifully presented gentleman of excellent type and colour. Balanced wedge with good width between large flared ears and straight lines to muzzle. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Excellent oriental eye shape, slightly straight set with clear, bright blue colour which could be a fraction deeper for utter perfection. Well defined neckline and proud head carriage. Long, svelte body of excellent muscle tone and stylish type with slim legs and long whip tail. Lovely cinnamon points colour and a smooth close lying unblemished coat.

RES.IMP.GR.PR.EMMEN’S GR.PR.JOHPAS JACK SPARROW(32c) 5.9.07

Very well grown and masculine with a strong head and large , well placed ears. Slightly uneven profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly deep set eyes of excellent shape and deep blue colour. Good head carriage and long muscular body of good type with slim legs, tail needs more length to balance the very long body. Bright red points colour and a warm coat which was slightly long and coarse on the spine. Very laid back and purred non stop.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE CHAMPION FEMALE:

GR.CH.W/H.READ’S CH.ADAJAN VANILLA SKYE(61bt) 6.8.06

I judged this lady a few weeks ago and she was at the top of her form but today she looked very fed up, totally lacked any sparkle and unfortunately was not up to grand standard. Good basic type overall with a straight wedge and good width between ears which need to be slightly larger for balance. Straight profile and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear bright blue colour and lovely expression. Long body of good weight and muscle tone and a well plumed tail needing an extra inch to balance. Well defined tabby markings and a coat of good length and silky texture.

RED POINT ADULT FEMALE:

1.CC.BOB COOK’S HELSBELS LADYGAGA 11.9.09

Very promising young lady shown in exemplary condition. Good length wedge with good width between large, flared ears. Straight profile, small pinch to muzzle which disappeared when she relaxed, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of oriental shape and set with deepest blue colour. Elegant head carriage and long muscular body of stylish type with dainty legs and whip tail. Light red points colour and a glossy warm white coat. Beautifully presented.

APRICOT POINT ADULT MALE:

1.CC.BOB.BROWN’S ADATEAM MAXIMO 16.5.08

Very butch and masculine with a strong head of good balanced length and well placed, large ears. Straight profile, teeth gone but bite appears to be level and strong chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and dismissive expression. Proud head carriage and long muscular body of good type with slim legs and a tail which needs an extra inch and is slightly thick at the root. Good apricot points colour and some shading on a coat which was short and close lying. Lovely laid back temperament.
