ERIN CAT CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW. 040910. JUDGE BETTY SHINGLETON

To David, Sam and the Committee many thanks for my invitation to judge. The hospitality was excellent, as always, from the moment I arrived at Belfast to my departure, a huge thank you to all the kind people involved. I very much enjoyed the Club Dinner, and not forgetting my gift. All very much appreciated. Mustn’t forget my Steward! Pat Hartin – thanks for making my day so easy.

AC PERSIAN IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION MALE

IMP.GR.CH.CERT. CRAIG & BELL’S GR CH SHEERBLISS DREAMCATCHER. 70 12a1ts. 181008.

Broad strong rounded scull with neatly placed ears, short broad nose, deep break, large nostrils, full cheeks, rounded muzzle and firm chin. Large eyes, just quite straight across the top, good depth of colour. Cobby body, short legs and balanced tail, very good condition. Coat very well presented, quite dense and plush, very slightly harsh. Ground colour silver, markings dense black. A very attractive boy.

GR.CH.CERT. CRAIG & BELL’S CH SHEERBLISS MYSTICAL-CHARM. 70 12a6ts. 150509.

A very pretty girl. Top of head showing good width, ears still quite open, very short broad nose deep break, large nostrils, cheeks well developed, jaw a little narrow, eyes very good shape and showing strong colour. Overall well developed body, strong bone, and balanced tail. Coat very well presented, this young girl has not developed the plushness as yet, beautiful colouring, and ground colour silver with a hint of red, markings dense black on a bright copper brown agouti with shades of red intermingled.

A very feminine girl, Head showing fairly good width, small round-tipped ears, set quite wide on scull, short broad nose good break, full cheeks , firm chin, eyes good shape and colour. Overall very good condition, short legs and balanced tail. Well presented coat, a little flat today, needing the winter plushness, showing minimum white, sound black.

KEMAGHAN’S HINCHKITZ BEATIFULDREAMER. 13b11. 220909.

A young boy, only just over one year old, still needing a little time to fully mature. Strong rounded scull with neatly placed ears, ears held just a little close together at present, slightly heavy browed spoiling the eye shape, eye colour not completely set, short broad nose good break, large nostrils, cheeks quite well developed, firm chin. Cobby body, overall very good condition, short strong boned legs, balanced tail. Coat well presented, needing time to reach full winters “best”, quite shady, points showing tabby markings. Very sweet temperament.

Broad top of head, scull a little uneven, neatly placed ears, cheeks well developed, firm chin, eyes good shape and colour, large nostrils. Cobby body, short strong boned legs balanced tail. Coat very well presented, soft texture and plush, clearly defined tabby markings.

1ST. McCARTHY’S SHEERBLISS HAYLEYS COMET. 70 30s. 250909.

A young girl only just over a year old, still needing time to reach full maturity. Strong rounded scull, ears nicely shaped held just a little on top of head at present, very short nose accentuated break, cheeks developing, rounded muzzle, good bite, eyes good size, quite straight across the top, colour setting. Overall good body shape and condition, short legs and balanced tail. Coat well presented, sift and quite plush, showing good pattern.

Broad top of head, strong and rounded, ears quite small and well placed, well developed cheeks, rounded muzzle and firm chin, very short nose, eyes good shape and expression, colour could be stronger. Large cobby body in lovely condition, strong bone and balanced tail. Coat soft texture very well presented, not at its full winter density as yet, showing maximum colour of medium blue, and sparkling white.

2ND. CAUGHEY’S HINCHKITZ MRMOONLIGHT. 70 13b15. 070509.

A young boy very much at the adolescent stage. Strong rounded scull, ears set quite wide apart, cheeks not fully developed, firm chin, short nose good break, eyes a little straight across the top, colour setting. Very good conformation and condition, good bone balanced tail. Coat very well presented, quite short and lacking density at present, points colour showing red tabby markings on an apricot base, pale body colour.

A promising young girl. Nicely balanced head, ears held a little on top, cheeks quite well developed, firm chin, short broad nose good break, I would like the eyes a little larger showing good colour. Overall good condition, cobby body, legs strong and balanced tail. Coat well presented but lacking density at present, black markings with quite good contrast.

2ND. CAUGHEY’S HINCHKITZ UPTOWNGIRL. 70 30b18. 130509.

Another young girl looking very adolescent today, just needing time to get everything together. Rounded scull, ears well placed, not showing her eyes to their best today, cheeks developing, firm chin, short broad nose good break. Body quite rangy, fairly good bone and balanced tail. Coat rather short, well presented, points colour developing. Very sweet nature.

A very attractive kitten. Nicely balanced head, strong rounded scull with neatly placed ears, just a little open at base, short broad nose good nostrils, cheeks developing, firm chin good bite, eyes very well shaped with good colour. Cobby body, short fat legs and balanced tail. Very well presented coat, silky texture, point’s rich red and tabby markings developing. A real treat to have such a lovely Colourpoint kitten to judge, so few to be seen on the show bench these days.

1ST.BOB. MORTON’S SHEERBLISS WACKO JACKO. 70 12a1is. 200110.

A mature kitten not far short of competing with the adults. Broad rounded scull , ears nicely placed a little open at base, short broad nose good break, large nostrils, cheeks quite well developed, firm chin, eyes very good shape and size, colour setting. Cobby body, lovely condition, short strong legs and balanced tail. Coat dense ,plush , soft texture, standing out from the body with good density, very well presented, ground colour silver, markings clear black, and showing white. A kitten with a big future on the Show bench.

2ND. CRAIG & BELL’S SHEERBLISS MOONROCKET. 70 12a1t. 040510.

Strong rounded scull, ears a little out of proportion at present, short broad nose good break, eyes a little deep set, colour good, cheeks developing, firm chin. Cobby body, short strong legs and balanced tail. Coat well presented, soft texture, plush and fairly dense, black markings on agouti ground, showing sparkling white. Such a lovely temperament.

3RD. CAUGHEY’S HINCHKITZ THECHARMER. 70 12a2ts. 150510.

A youngster at the very mixed kitten stage. Quite a small head in proportion to the body, rounded scull, ears held a little on top, short broad nose good break, large nostrils, cheeks developing, firm chin, eyes good shape. Very good condition, bone a little fine, balanced tail. Coat well presented, not yet developing the required plushness lying quite flat, blue markings a little diffused, silvery base developing, showing white. Sweet temperament

4TH. MURTAGH’S CHARLORIAN ALFIEMOON. 70 9. 280510.

Rounded scull, ears a little large at present, a short nose not showing a definite break almost like – my terminology a “ski-slope”, cheeks developing, firm chin, eyes good shape and colour setting. Good conformation and condition, fairly strong bone, balanced tail. Coat well presented, quite flat at present, tabby markings developing.

Overall nicely balanced head, strong rounded scull, ears quite well set, full cheeks and firm chin, short broad nose good break, eyes just a little deep set good colour. Well developed body, short strong legs and balanced tail. Coat very well presented, lacking plushiness today

Strong rounded scull with neatly placed ears, cheeks developing and rounded muzzle with firm chin, short broad nose good break, eyes good shape and colour. Cobby body, strong bone and balanced tail. Good coat texture and presentation, still needing time to have the plushiness and density required, points colour and pattern not fully developed.

GR. CH. CERT. SAVILLE’S CH COONTASTIC TANGERINE DREAM. 64 41 dw. 100809.

A very young boy showing excellent development, medium length mead, square muzzle with a firm chin, cheeks fairly full with high cheek bones, nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Large tall ears wide at base and tapering to appear pointed at the tips, set high and fairly well apart, expressive eyes, full and round spaced wide apart with a slightly oblique aperture and set, good colour. Large long body in good condition, substantial bone, balanced tail. Coat very good texture and presentation, not at its full winter length as yet, richly coloured and sparkling white.

A mature girl in lovely condition. Overall nicely balanced head, I would like a stronger muzzle, firm chin, cheeks fairly full with high cheek bones, nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Large ears very good size and set, eyes very good shape and expression, good colour. Nicely shaped body, substantial bone and balanced tail. Very well presented coat of good texture, black markings on a warm copper agouti ground colour, showing sparkling white.

A young boy after probably his first season “working”, needs time to develop his winter coat and condition. Top of head quite broad and rounded, cheeks a little pinched, muzzle a little weak, medium length nose with gentle dip. Medium sized ears, rounded tips and slightly forward tilt, eyes large and well opened, colour could be stronger. Rangy body, medium length legs and balanced tail. Coat well presented points fairly even blue, body bluish white. Very sweet nature.

A youngster just over a year old and as a slow maturing breed appears to lack balance. Good width to top of head, cheeks and muzzle not fully developed, medium length nose with a gentle dip, ears medium size with slight forward tilt, eyes well opened and slightly obliquely set, colour fairly good. Body good weight, still to fully develop, good bone babalanced tail. Very good coat texture and presentation, point’s seal brown tabby, pale body colour.

A mature boy in lovely condition. Head medium in length, would like the muzzle to be stronger, cheeks fairly full with high cheek bones, level bite, nose of uniform width with shallow concave ve curve. Large tall ears, wide at base and tapering to appear pointed, just having a tendency to bonnet them, eyes very good shape and expression. Very good conformation, strong bone and balanced tail. Coat lovely texture and presentation, clear black tabby markings, rich copper agouti ground colour.

GRAND. PREM. CERT. McLLREE’S PR DREAMCATCHER TADEWI. 77. 010602.

This boy is eight years old and looking really great in excellent condition. Scull rounded narrowing to a definite whisker break broad muzzle with a blunt nose, in profile a slight stop, chin well developed. Ears large wide open at base, deep cupped, large expressive eyes. Body showing medium length, legs muscled at body, small oval feet, balanced tail. Coat silky texture very well presented, showing bands of dark sepia ticking, light next to the skin, muzzle, chest and stomach unticked and light ivory colour, some barring on inner front legs, dark tail tip, clearly defined facial markings. Very sweet personality.

CORNISH REX NEUTER FEMALE.

A very attractive young girl with sweet personality. Medium wedge with high cheek bones narrowing to a rounded muzzle and firm chin, in profile a flat scull curving gently at the brow and continuing in a straight line to the tip of the nose. Ears large set quite high on head, wide at the base and tapering to rounded tips, oval shaped eyes, top line set almost straight. Elegant neck, slender body, legs long and straight, paws small and oval, tail long and tapering. Coat short and dense, silken in texture, very good waving throught the body.
