ERIN CAT CLUB,5.9.09Margaret BakerMany thanks to David and Sam and the Erin Cat Club for a lovely show, relaxed and so attractively laid out, and for the wonderful hospitality, they could not have been more thoughtful. Additional thanks to the inimitable Dr. Dennis Shortall, for his assistance as my steward and his kindness during the day. CREAM BURMESE ADULT -1 CC & BOB, SLUITERS' TEAROHA ALDEBIZ ROBBEDOES, M. 15.6.08.Handsome boy of excellent substance. Good wedge and head shape, broad at the cheeks and gently domed on top with blunt finish to the muzzle. Short nose with distinct break. Bite even, well fitted firm chin. Spaced ears of appropriate size, wide at base and slightly tilted. Lovely golden eyes with a hint of chartreuse, open-hearted honest expression. Firm and powerful body, rounded chest, strong legs with elegant spoon feet, excellent balanced tail. Beautiful coat quality, very strokeable, powdered effect over head and back, but had two broken necklaces. Colour looked rather dark but I had to make allowance in all cases for the unforgiving lighting. He grumbled and swore throughout but it was all hot air. BROWN TORTOISESHELL BURMESE ADULT -BOB, KEENAN'S INT CH AUREUS FAIR ROSAMUND, F. 23.4.05.Attractive mature female. Short wedge wide at the cheekbones. Good profile and nose break with deep firm chin and nice even bite. Very large lustrous eyes, but at 4 1/2 years the colour was a little pale. Well placed and set ears of proportionate size, forehead a bit flat. Body of good strength and balance, rather broad in the beam. Elegant legs, dainty feet, tapered tail. Beautiful silky textured short coat, well mingled with red particularly on ears. Grumbled like mad, but back in her pen a little gentle stroking was applied and she became absolutely sweet. A.O.C. TORTOISESHELL BURMESE ADULT -BOB, TAYLOR'S INT CH KYMIAN HENRIETTA, (27j), F. 13.7.05.Quiet friendly girl of excellent type, ultimately chosen as Best Burmese. Lovely head and wedge, broad in the right places, domed between the ears, which were open and beautifully shaped. Large expressive chartreuse eyes of excellent shape and spacing. Good profile with break and firm chin, bite good enough. Muscled body a little on the heavy side, strong legs with delicately modelled feet, balanced tail. Soft glossy coat, mainly lilac nose and face, the rest of her mingled with plenty of cream and rich cream overlaid on the back. It was a nice hall but as mentioned before, the lighting played havoc with these warm colours. CREAM BURMESE NEUTER -BOB, TAYLOR'S INT PR BACKCHAT BUCCANEER, MN. 14.11.06.Beautiful in appearance and in temperament, couldn't get enough cuddling. Super wide wedge and blunt muzzle. Good nose break, short nose slightly rolled off in profile. Even chin, bite meeting satisfactorily. Well set ears with correct forward tilt. Golden chartreuse eyes set well apart, good shape and size. Strong neck and shoulders, large but firm body, obviously fond of his food. Strong legs and oval paws. Lovely sleek close lying cream coat, clear on the body but with a trace of a necklace. Well presented in great condition. SEAL POINT SIAMESE ADULT -1, CC & BOB, DAVIES' WICCANWAYS MORGANA, F. 22.11.08.The best size and type of three girls who were all very young. Lovely head shape with wide top and graceful smooth outline over back of head and neck. Wonderful ear set, generous at base and widely spaced without exaggeration. Excellent profile and balanced chin, bite even on a slightly crooked line. Medium bright blue eyes, shape full as she was undoubtedly feeling tension, which also produced a small pinch. Long svelte body, shaded but showing enough contrast with her deep seal points. Fine legs, dainty oval feet and long fine tail. Short close lying coat in excellent condition. Not at all a bad temperament but unfortunately inclined to be nervous and upset. 2, BUTTON'S IKISHIROO CASINO ROYAL SEAL, F. 19.11.08.Rather small at the moment, hope she will grow on. Fine head with good wedge shape, very good profile, good even chin, nice little white teeth meeting in a perfect bite. Slanted eyes of good colour, haws showing a little. Ears quite well shaped and set. Elegant body and dainty limbs, tail of good length. Deep points and excellent contrast in a close coat, a wee bit long in texture. Rather an anxious girl. 3, BUTTON'S IKISHIROO LITTAL DOYANO, F. 19.11.08.Small like her sister, with whom she shared some other characteristics. Fine head with rather a short wedge and little pinch. Very good profile and chin, bite not quite even. Large wide based ears needing more space between. Full open shaped eyes of bright colour. Long neck and body with slim legs and feet, excellent long tapered tail. Lovely contrasting coat similar to sister. TABBY POINT (INC.CINNAMON & FAWN) SIAMESE ADULT -1,CC & BOB, BAILEY'S METEXA MIKHAIL, M. (32/1), 4.4.08.Very elegant boy. Good even wedge with lovely open ear shape. Rather an angular profile with long straight nose. Even chin and acceptable bite. Eyes had exquisite oriental shape and expression, deep blue colour. Elegant neck and muscular body, tail of balanced length, a bit thick towards root and just enough ringing to see him through. Tabby mask marked in narrow head stripes, eye ribbons and dark cheek patches. Good amount of bars on his long legs. Short coat of excellent texture, shaded in what appeared a rather ashy tone, however the lighting was responsible for a number of somewhat erratic colours. Sweet and friendly, my choice for Best Siamese Adult. RED POINT SIAMESE ADULT -1,CC & BOB, DEBOWSKA'S CH MEILLAND BLAZIN COMET, M. 20.8.05.Another elegant exhibit of good size and weight and general proportions. Long wedge, straight profile, head maybe just a little narrow giving a long lower half of face. Even but shallow chin, incisors missing from bite. Well set ears of comfortable size, not exaggerated. Medium blue eyes of typical shape. Long strong body and legs, long tapered tail. Very good coat quality, fine and close, with a little warm shading. Gold-red points, pale on legs and feet. We were gentle with him but unfortunately he was nervous. CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER -1,PC & BOB, FORSTER'S SIAWYE NIRAN, MN, 1.6.08.Large boy with elegant type. Medium length of wedge, puffing his whisker pads which threw out the lines a bit. Good straight profile, deep even chin, bite all right. Wide based ears, widely spaced eyes of good bright colour, showing the haws a little. Strong body with well filled sides, long legs and long fine tail. Lovely healthy ivory coat, barely shaded with faint hip patches. Points uneven which is the usual case, the legs and feet pale, the head and tail well defined in rather dark chocolate. Good straight profile and strong chin. Excellent widespread ears, good top of head. Medium blue eyes rounded, but a better shape when relaxed and keeping oriental slant on topline. Bite marginally overlapped, could sort itself out. Firm athletic body, long fine tail. Beautiful quality flawless coat with points growing in blue caramel. AC SIAMESE KITTEN NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR -1, MONTGOMERY'S SIAWYE SMARTIEBOOTS, (32b1), F. 15.3.09.Active and vocal young lady of very smart type, elegant head, limbs and tail, thoroughly tortie marked and well assembled. 2, LENIHAN'S SHADOWSQUAD FAIRY DUST, (24), F. 3.4.09. Sweetest natured little girl with some promising qualities but yet to come to her best. Already quite dark for her age, but wonders do happen and kitten coats have been known to clear! The little face will look so different when she has grown out some spots of brindling - (or is it just sprinkled with fairy dust?) Only narrowly beaten into second place!
