ERIN CC SHOW 5th September 2009 SALLY RAINBOW-OCKWELL
Many thanks to David & Sean for my first invite to judge at this lovely show. I’d had a disastrous day on the Friday, but the warmth & hospitality of this friendly club made the weekend a special trip. Many thanks also to my good friend Val Prestidge for stewarding for me. This was our first time together – and hopefully they’ll be many more! Thank you for your great expertise & company & for my marked catalogue – I look forward to the next time. We had some really fantastic cats at this show – what a treat!
AC Birman Champion Male;
GCC BRIGLIADORI & ROBSON’S CH SHWECHINTHE FLAPJACK (13c7, 26/4/08).
Attractive Cream Point lad of good type. Good width to head with ears of good size set well. Deep blue eyes of good size – shape could be just a fraction rounder. Medium nose with good dip in profile, just slightly roman. Fairly good width to cheeks – just needing to develop a little as he matures. Bite just fractionally overshot. Quite good chin. Coat of good length & expertly prepared. Clear to body & pale cream to all points. Fairly well matched gloves & socks. Gauntlets matching & fairly well tapered – of good length reaching two-thirds of the way to the hock. Well grown lad with muscular body of good length. Medium tail, well furnished.
RGCC LETTERS’ CH LORDSTONES HAMISH (13c14, 23/4/03).
Mature Lilac Tabbypoint lad of good type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Mid blue eyes of good size & shape. Nose just a fraction straight. Good width to cheeks. Level bite. Quite good chin. Coat of good length but needing rather more preparation to really sparkle, especially underneath. Slight staining to paws. Almost clear to body, and mid lilac tabby markings to points. Fairly well matched gloves – the left glove has an almost coloured toe, but does have some white. Well matched socks. Matching tapered gauntlets. Well grown lad with good body shape. Medium tail, well furnished.
AC Birman Premier Male;
GPC MAXWELL’S GR PR KILTONGA SPARKLE (13c5, 1/5/05).
Red point lad of good type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Deep blue eyes – slightly round & bold when out of the pen, but better shape when relaxed. Nose showing strong dip & slightly roman. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Slight shading to body. Mid red to all points. Fairly well matched gloves. Well matched socks. Gauntlets matching & slightly tapered, just a fraction short. Well grown lad with good body shape. Tail of good length, well furnished.
Seal Colourpoint Adult Male;
1 CC BOB McWILLIAMS’ PORTIA GIZMO OFCHYDAZ (13b1, 26/4/08).
Gorgeous lad of super type. Good top of head with neat ears. Bold eyes of good size & shape, slightly pale in colour, but a definite blue. Very short broad nose. Full cheeks & firm chin. Level bite. Coat quite full & expertly prepared to the last hair. Rather shady to back & tummy today – a better colour is coming in from the roots, so hopefully this will improve as he gets his winter coat. Very cobby body. Strong legs with wonderful fat paws. Short full tail. Delightful temperament – I just loved him!
Seal Point Birman Kitten;
1 BOB GILMORE’S CARRICKFERN ISABELLA (13c1, 22/5/09).
Pretty girl of good type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Deep blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat well prepared & of good length. Just fractionally shady to body at present. Mid seal to points – mask still developing. Well matched gloves & socks. Gauntlets a fraction short and not very well matched at present – the left one is broad & the right one is rather narrow. Hopefully these will develop as she matures. Well grown lass with good body shape. Tail of good length, well furnished. Lovely cheeky show temperament.
Chocolate/Lilac Point Birman Kittten;
1BOB GILMORE’S CARRICKFERN INSIGNIA (13c4, 22/5/09).
Litter brother to the Seal point girl, this Lilac point lad is also very attractive. Good type with a good width to his head & medium ears set well. Deep blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with quite good dip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Excellent coat of lovely length & texture which was very well prepared. Clear to body & pale lilac to all points. Gloves fairly well matched, right glove just slightly “stepped”. Well matched socks & matching tapered gauntlets. Well grown lad with good body shape. Medium tail, well furnished. Super temperament.
Persian Red, Tortie & White or Bi-Colour Adult;
1 CRAIG & BELL’S CH KATYKAYE MADISON.
Dominant Tortie & White lass of lovely type. Broad top of head with neat ears. Huge owl-like eyes of mid orange. Very short broad nose. Level bite & good chin. Coat quite full & well prepared. Just slightly coarse on her back with some old coat present. Jet black & rich red patches with a full white collar & a white patch to the base of her back. Small white patches to her face. Cobby body shape, but I would prefer her to be larger. Short full tail.
Seal or Blue Point Birman Adult;
1 MORGAN’S CARRICKFERN HESTHEONE.
Seal point Birman lad of good type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Mid blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat quite well prepared & of good length. Slightly shady to back & dark seal to all points. Gloves well matched – just a slight “run-off” at the back of the left glove, but all attached. Well matched socks. Matching tapered gauntlets. Well grown lad with good body shape. Medium tail, well furnished.
AOC Birman Adult;
1 KEENAN’S SERLAHJARI LOTUS FLOWER.
Very attractive Blue Tabby Point Birman girl of good type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Excellent deep blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & fairly good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Almost clear to body & good mid blue tabby markings to all points. Very well matched gloves & socks. Well tapered gauntlets of excellent length. Body of good shape & well grown. Medium tail, well furnished. A very stylish girl.

Ragdoll Kitten;
1 MISSKELLY’S GLENDAVAN MISS-DEFY.
Super Seal Tabby Colourpointed Ragdoll girl of lovely type. Good flat plane to head with medium ears set well. Mid blue eyes o0f good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip & slightly retrousse at tip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Almost clear to body. Deep seal tabby markings to all points, very well defined. Very well grown girl with super body shape. Well furnished tail of good length. Wonderful show presence. A very well deserve Overall BIS later in the day. Definitely a future star!
