Clarification

Pictures taken at shows by Planet reporters will always end up on the Cat Planet website as seen with the shows covered in Issue 6's Magazine.

When possible a selection of pictures will appear on the website immediately after the show and a selection will go to the designers to feature in the Cat Planet Monthly Magazine.

When photos come in with a limited number of cats and the show is scheduled for feature in the magazine, pictures will not appear on the website until the featured magazine pages are published.

You can see an example of complete coverage by clicking on the link below:

You can see some pictures were published on the web in the day(s) after the show and then the magazine show pages were published last week.

We have worked very hard to get the right balance ensuring good Cat Planet coverage on both the website and in the magazine and I feel this is a good solution, if anyone has any better ideas, please feel free to email them in.

I am very upset at the negative comments being received about Cat Planet this last week about the show pictures. Cat Planet has been professionally servicing the Cat Fancy for 6 years with no payment or charge whatsoever and often for very little thanks.

The magazine was brought to you for you to enjoy after many comments about not having one and wishing there was one - if the Cat Fancy does not want it, then all you all have to do is say and the team and I will stop putting so much effort into collecting results, pictures, schedule info and news...

Thank you as ever to those of you who do support Cat Planet and to those of you who contribute so much of your time.

xx

Carry on doing what you do so well I always enjoy your pictures wether you put them on Cat Planet or in your magazine Miss the pictures when there is no one at the shows to take them So for me as long as we see them it doesnt matter how long before published something to look forward to

You are doing a great job. You filled a much needed gap at a time when others were in disarray and you have soldiered on despite attempts to muscle in on everything you do. The mag is fab, I KNOW people would like it to be bigger and I know you would too, but people have to support it enough first, you can't be expected to provide it for nothing and so I understand that there has to be some incentive for people to buy it. Sadly too many people always want something for nothing and ignore the other interesting articles and features that the magazine runs.

When I used to do freelance work for Our Cats the policy on photos was that anyone wanting one contacted the photographer and PAID for them to be printed and sent, they didn't get free emailed copies like anyone doing CP photos provides and they didn't have access to them on the web for free either!

Carry on as you are going, you're doing a great job and it's a fantastic service for everyone involved in the cat fancy. xx
