JOYCE GREEN * REPORT ON THE WYVERN SHOW 2011
Thanks to the Show Managers and Committee for the invitation to the Wyvern and grateful thanks to my steward, Emma Matthews, for all her help and pleasant company.
AV SEMI LH GRAND PREMIER (IMPERIAL) MALE:
IMP GR PR BURGESS GR PR KASSARO CISCOKID 64 41w
Large strong well structured boy with well muscled body on strong well boned legs, paws are large and well tufted. Lovely coat of good length, wearing ruff and breeches, long furry tail reaches well up length of back. Well defined tabby pattern with the white parts pristine. Strong well shaped head, large tall ears stand high, long tufts at the tips. Square muzzle, strong chin, very nice line in profile; large expressive oval eyes are well set. A handsome fellow, very friendly and relaxed.
RES KEMP GR PR SHANDATAL IMABLUE TIGER 13c12
Another super boy looking fabulous for his age of ten years and he ran the winner very close. Excellent type, well structured, well muscled body on thick-set legs, strong paws, lovely bushy tail. Beautifully prepared coat and ruff, colour still pale across body with well defined blue tabby markings including thumb prints on ears, leg bars and tail rings. Very good markings to all feet. Broad rounded head with medium wide-set ears, well developed muzzle and chin, medium nose has slight dip in profile. Almost round eyes are deep blue. Also a very handsome fellow.

Compact mature lass looking fabulous although nine years of age. Lovely substance to body, thick-set legs, short paws, lovely bushy tail. Super coat is quite profuse and beautifully prepared; delicate pale colour across body with very nice lilac colour on points; gloves and gauntlets are well matched. Rounded head has medium ears which are well placed, medium nose with slight dip in profile, well developed muzzle, strong chin. Lovely deep blue eyes. She has a lovely face and expression and is she such a sweetie!
RES BURGESS GR PR COONARIA SEQUOIA 64 41e
Well grown girl who is strong and well muscled with very good bone structure, substantial legs, large paws with long tufts, really long furry tail. Lovely coat well prepared, ruff around neck, wearing breeches, pristine white parts and nice pattern with well marked tortie overlay. Medium head has square muzzle, good chin, well defined profile line; large tall ears well spaced and showing lovely long tufts at the tips. Almost round eyes show very nice expression.

Stylish exhibit of excellent type, firm and muscular, well balanced by tail and limbs, neat well shaped paws. Lovely short close lying coat is fine and silky and shows lustrous sheen; warm lilac colouring across body merging with deeper shade of lilac on points. Well shaped head gently rounded on top, medium ears set well and have good width between them. Profile has slight nose break and level chin, good shape at muzzle which shows definite whisker pinch. Large expressive eyes of good shape, eye colour aquamarine. A sweet natured girl.
RES BRUCE-GARDNER GR CH FRILFORD SILVER FILAGREE 72 43sq
Another stylish girl who ran winner close. Excellent type and structure, firm muscular body, well proportioned tail and limbs. Short fine coat has silky texture and shows very good shading with a truly fabulous silver base. Well shaped head has short wedge, blunt muzzle, width at jaw hinge; gently rounded between very good ears which are set well. Profile is well defined and shows distinct nose break and firm chin. Large lustrous green eyes are well set and she has such a lovely expression.

Two really super exhibits and it was a real pleasure to judge them.
GR CH WARWICK-JONES CH TAKAMAKA APHRODITE 27c
Well structured girl, very well balanced. Firm muscular body on slender legs with neat oval paws, very good tail. Short close coat has lovely silky texture and very good colour which shows a slight pinkish cast and has a nice shiny appearance overall. Well shaped head is slightly rounded between very good ears; short wedge, blunt muzzle, well defined nose break and level chin when viewed in profile. Large lustrous eyes set well apart, colour is golden. She has a lovely face and expression. A very stylish lass.
RES CHAPMAN-BEER CH CATAMARIAN EVITA 27a
Another super girl who is very elegant and well balanced. Firm muscular body on well proportioned legs, neat oval paws, very good tail. Short fine coat lies close to the body and has lovely silky texture and nice shiny appearance; colour an even soft blue-grey with distinct silvery sheen especially around head and paws. Well shaped head, gently rounded between ears which are set well apart, short wedge, distinct nose break in profile, firm chin. Lustrous golden eyes set well apart; she has a lovely face and expression and is also a very stylish lass.

1 CC BOB INSTONE ADECILO HONEYMUFFIN
Well structured young girl just over a year old. Feeling firm and muscular, thick-set legs, well shaped paws, nice bushy tail, overall well proportioned. Fine silky textured coat has good length, nice ruff frames her face; colour is pale beige with golden hue and her points are well defined, deep seal mask and ears; showing good markings to feet. Rounded head has ears set well apart, medium nose with slight dip in profile, full cheeks, well developed muzzle, good chin. Almost round eyes are deep blue. She has a lovely face and expression.

My thanks to Bethan who stepped in to help me and was very good at holding the cats whilst I judged them.
OLYMPIAN CLASS MALE NEUTER
OLY MR P BOOTH’S GR CH & IGR PR KOLINGA COUGAR (16) MN 18/6/07 – British Blue who is cobby in shape and stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Large round head with good width between small rounded ears. Round expressive orange eyes. Nose short, broad and straight with full blue leather. Level bite. Cheeks well rounded with firm chin. Light blue shade to coat which is almost sound and it is dense, short and crisp. Tail medium in length, it is thick and has a rounded tip. An excellent example of the breed and a real teddy bear to handle.
RES OLY MRS J HEMMING’S CH & IGR PR HINDERSLYNE BLACK HEMLOCK (15) MN 17/08/07 - Black of excellent shape and size. Compact well balanced body with a full broad chest. Short strong legs and rounded paws. Large round head with good width between neat ears. Large round eyes which are spaced well apart and are copper in colour. Short broad straight nose. Full round cheeks firm chin. Level bite. Coat is short, dense and crisp. Jet black colour to his coat and it is sound to the roots. Tail thick and of medium length. It is thicker at the base with a rounded tip. He is losing his coat at the moment so it is not at its best.

Blue Cream who is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat ears. Nose is short, broad and straight. Large round expressive copper eyes. Wide level bite. Coat is short, dense and crisp. It is a medium shade of blue and a pale cream and beautifully intermingled. All her extremities are broken with colour. Tail is thick and medium in length. Lovely girl.
RES OLY MISS J CHANDLER’S UK & IGR PR KOLINGA BLUEBELLA (28) FN 4/6/07 – Blue Cream who is compact and well balanced. She stands low on her legs and stands on firm rounded paws. Head is round with nicely rounded cheeks. Ears are small and rounded, set well and spaced well apart. Nose is short, broad and straight. Large round expressive orange eyes. Good bite. Coat is short, dense and crisp. It is a medium shade of blue and a pale cream; she has some small patches of cream on her face and body. All extremities are broken with colour. Tail is thick and medium in length. She was not too happy today.

1CC BOB MRS P FARNDON’S TENOAKS CAPPUCHINA (20) M 12/2/09 – Brown Tabby. Body is cobby in shape and he stands on firm rounded paws. Head is round and he has good width between ears that are a little generous. Round expressive eyes of copper which are well spaced. Short straight broad nose. Good bite. Nicely rounded cheeks with firm chin. Coat is short dense and crisp. Well defined Classic Tabby markings. Well ringed tail that was in proportion to his body.
BLACK TORTIE & WHITE ADULT
1CC BOB MRS J HEMMING’S HINDERSLYNE MADAM BUTTERFLY (22) F 6/12/10 – Tortoiseshell and White of good size and shape. Cobby and standing low on the legs. Round head with good width between ears that are a little generous. Level bite. Coat is nicely patched on body, head and face showing a sound black and rich red. She has a white collar, white underparts and a white blaze. Coat is a nice texture, dense and crisp. Tail in proportion to her body and fully coloured.

1CC MISS A-M NEALE’S PARRADAZY PICASSO (40 4) M 23/5/10 – Lilac Colourpointed of good shape and size. Body is cobby and he stands on short strong legs. Round head needing a little more width between small neat ears. He has round eyes of blue. Nose is short, broad and straight with a slight break. Good bite. Cheeks nicely rounded. Coat is magnolia white with some surface shading today. It is short, dense and crisp. Points a bluey lilac, lacking a pink tone. Tail is thick and medium in length.

1CC BOB MR & MRS PARR’S PARRADAZY CHOCOLICIOUS (40 9) F 7/6/10 – Chocolate Tortie Colourpointed. Body is cobby in type and she stands low on the legs on round firm paws. Head is round and smooth with small neat ears that are spaced nicely apart. Large round pale blue eyes. Nose is short, broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks nicely rounded with firm chin. Coat is short, dense and crisp. Her points colour is chocolate broken with a good shade of red. All points are broken with red. Coat is short, dense, crisp and showing some surface shading. Tail is medium in length, thick with a rounded tip

1ST BOB MRS B HOLLANDT’S SAKAHO LOUBE-LOU (22) F 19/5/11 – Tortoiseshell and White of good size and shape. Very pretty young lady. Cobby and standing low on the legs. Round head with good width between ears that she needs to grow into. Round copper eyes of good shape and size. Short straight nose. Full cheeks firm chin. Level bite. Coat is nicely patched on body, head and face showing a sound black and rich red. She has a part white collar, white underparts and legs. Coat is a nice texture, dense and crisp. Tail in proportion to her body and fully coloured.

1st MRS J TOWNSEND’S SKELLUM DOLLYMIX (22a) F 16/7/10 – Blue Tortie and White. Cobby in shape, nicely balanced and standing on short strong legs with round firm paws. Round head with small neat ears that are spaced nicely apart. Round expressive orange eyes. Nose is short, broad and straight. Cheeks full and round with firm chin. Bite level. Coat is short, dense and crisp. Coat is nicely patched and is a medium blue with a slightly hot cream and white. White whisker pads and nose, white collar, chest and underparts. Tail showing both colours and it is thick, medium in length with a rounded tip.
2ND DR K KEMPSELL’S MIKZAEL COCOA CREMEDELIGHT (21b) F 25/4/09 – Chocolate Tortoiseshell who is well grown for her age. She is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. Head is round with good width between her ears which are a little tall at the moment. Large round eyes of copper. Short broad nose. Cheeks full with firm chin. Good bite. Coat is a good length and texture. It is showing a good mixture of chocolate and a rich red which is evenly intermingled. She also has faint tabby markings which are apparent when viewed from a distance. She has both colours clearly defined all over her body. Tail is medium in length and has a rounded tip.

Round head with rounded cheeks. Eyes are large round and expressive, orange in colour. Nose is short, broad and straight. Ears are neat and rounded at the tip with good space between them. Level bite. Firm chin. Coat is dense short and crisp. The lilac has a distinct pinkish tone. Tail is in proportion to his body

1ST MR & MRS BROWN’S KOLINGA KREAM KRACKER (17) M 24/5/11 – Well what can I say; I just fell for this young man he is absolutely lovely and I believe went on to win BIS. Cream of good size and shape for age and with a wonderful temperament. He is cobby in shape and stands on short strong legs. Round head with rounded cheeks. Eyes are large round and expressive, orange in colour. Nose is short, broad and straight. Ears are neat and rounded at the tip with good space between them. Level bite. Firm chin. Coat short, dense and crisp. Shade of cream is the best I have ever seen on a British cat, it was lovely. Tail is in proportion to his body
2ND MR A McEWEN’S GREENDALE TRAVIS (39) M 13/4/11 – Black Tipped of good shape and size. Cobby standing low on the legs which are short and strong and he stands on round firm paws. Large round head with good width between neat ears. Large round expressive eyes which are green in colour and outlined in black. Short broad nose with full brick leather, outlined in black. Level bite. Full cheeks but chin slightly weak. Coat is a trifle long but a good texture. Almost white undercoat with the coat on the back, flanks, head, ears and tail evenly tipped with black. Legs show tipping. Chin, stomach, chest and under tail almost white. Tail in proportion to body, thicker at the base with a rounded tip.

Coat is short, dense and crisp. It is a medium shade of blue and a pale cream; she has some small patches of cream on her face and body. All extremities are broken with colour. Tail is thick and medium in length.
2ND MR & MRS PARR’S PARRADAZY LUNAR ECLIPSE (40 19) F 20/4/11 – Chocolate Tabby Colourpointed who was down in my book as a Choc Tortie Tabby point but have spoken to the breeder and we agree that she is a Choc Tabby point. Body is cobby in type and she stands low on the legs on round firm paws. Head round and smooth with small neat ears that are spaced nicely apart. Large round blue eyes. Nose is short, broad and straight. Level bite. Coat is short, dense and crisp. Her points show dark chocolate markings on a light bronze background. Clear M to forehead with spectacles and spotted whisker pads. Her body is ivory with slight surface shading. Tail is medium in length, thick with a rounded tip and well ringed. A very nice young lady.

She is cobby and stands low on the legs which are short and strong and she stands on round firm paws. Large round head with good width between neat ears. Round expressive eyes which are pale green in colour and outlined in black. Short broad nose with full brick leather, outlined in black. Level bite. Full cheeks but chin a little weak. Coat is dense short and crisp. Almost white undercoat with the coat on the back, flanks, head, ears and tail evenly tipped with black. Legs show tipping. Chin, stomach, chest and under tail almost white. Tail in proportion to body, thicker at the base with a rounded tip.

1ST MRS C GARDNER & MRS J WARD’S CH WINDYMEADOW SPECTOR MORSE (40 7) MN 14/5/07 – Cream Colourpointed. Good size to this young man, body is compact, powerful standing on short strong legs. Round head with good width between neat ears. Eyes are large and round and a pale shade of blue. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks needing rounded with firm chin. Coat is short dense and crisp, it is creamy white with slight shading to back and flanks. Points are pleasing shade of cream. There is faint barring on legs and tail and the faint outline of oysters on the flanks. Tail is thick at the base, medium in length and rounded at the tip.
2ND MRS T WILSON’S CMONCATS BLUESUEDEPAWS (16) MN 2/11/10 – Blue going through the teenage stage at the moment. He is rather rangy in shape standing on well boned legs on neat paws. Head is round with good width between his ears which are a little large at present. Round expressive copper eyes. Short broad nose. Good bite. Cheeks needing to fill and a little muzzly today. Coat a medium shade of blue, it is short dense and crisp in texture and almost sound. Tail is in proportion to his body.

Chin is firm. Coat is magnolia white and is short, dense and crisp. Points show very well defined lilac markings on a pale beige background. M to forehead, spectacles and spotted whisker pads. Rings on her tail which is thick and medium in length.

AC MOST FRIENDLY ADULT OR KITTEN
1ST MRS E PASHIER’S BABY FN 3yrs – Very friendly young lady who just would not leave us alone and wanted to be cuddled all the time. Down as a chocolate but more like a lilac in colour.
2nd MRS E SCOTT’S GMC TWIZZLE MN 8yrs – Blue pointed male who was very well prepared and has lovely blue eyes. He also was a very friendly cat.
3RD MRS N BUTLER’S GMC TIA DROP FN 8yrs – Chocolate point who is in excellent condition, purred all the time and loved the attention. Well prepared and lovely expressive eyes.
Very difficult class to judge.
