THE TURKISH VAN CAT CLUB SHOW 2 OCTOBER 2010 JUDGES REPORT MS JANE E. ALLEN

AC TURKISH VAN CHAMPION MALE

GR CC LOMBARDS CH IZAMBARD SECILMIS OLAN 13d 20.6.09

Very well grown young man with substantial broad wedge with medium length straight nose with barely perceptible dip when viewed in profile. Moderately large ears well set and with desired shell pink inner. They were sell feathered. Expressive pale amber eyes that were large and pink rimmed as required. Long body that was substantial to hold with medium length well boned limbs and well rounded feet. His tail was developing the fullness but was in proportion to his body. Chalk white coat that was very well presented, the colour on his head was almost identical and separated by the white blaze. Tail fully coloured and ringed. Good to handle and a very pleasing chap indeed.

I thought this more mature exhibit was also very nice with lots to commend him, broad substantial wedge, medium to long nose but for me he had more than the barely perceptible dip required in the standard. His body was long and substantial with length of tail in proportion to his body. For me he needed more time to grown his coat and his tail was lacking a little in preparation to remove the greasiness present.

I have always loved this boy and really appreciate the balance of his superb head, fabulous muscled body and to top if off wonderful presentation and nature. My best Vankedisi vote.

Very pretty young lady who I have handled before and again she is of very nice balance and also very well shown. I was pleased to see she is the daughter of Indigo!

And here is the litter brother and very similar to the little girl. Very promising young man with all the desired attributes for a very successful show career. I wish him well.

LOMBARDS ADATELO BEYAZ KABA ADAM 16.5.08

Very impressive boy who I have had the pleasure of handling before. He is an amazing laid back boy, quite literally!!, and just has such an attitude about him too it is hard to put him back. Coupled with all this is is also a very nice example of the breed, super head type and balance with massive frame and still balanced. It was so nice to handle so many Vankedisi of such quality thanks so much.

I remember giving her a CC earlier in the season and her earlier promise has certainly continued to grow and develop! I particularly like her broad wedge with medium to long nose and excellent profile and chin. Expressive pale amber eyes that are large and well set. Large ears that are set quite close together with lovely furnishings and shell pink lining. Long body with substantial feel and lovely condition and muscle tone. Medium length legs with nice boning. Tail well feathered and coloured and in proportion to her body. Very well shown and confident to handle.

Promising young male third in a very good class.

A very promising young man with very nice head shape and breadth to head and muzzle. Pleasing profile with a very slight perceptible dip. Large, expressive eyes. Promising length to his body and tail and very nicely shown coat.

2 ALTINPULLUKS ADECILO LEO 13w0d 3.5.10

Another very well grown kitten with super personality and expression, for me he just needs to develop more width in his face to give him the desired breadth called for. I would like a larger eye that at the moment was a pale blue in tone. Long body with great weight and medium well boned limbs. Very well shown chalk white coat, the length still developing but with super texture and well shown.

Not entered in open but definitely Best in Class MC ELIJAH Blue tabby of 2 years 10 months As if Sinbad was not enough, this boy was just captivating too. I loved his superior look and attitude to everyone and everything. He certainly knows how to play to the judges, he was magnificent. So well presented and just oozed quality and health. Congratulations a super boy.

if ever I needed two firsts!!!

1 RAWSONS MC DAISY FN 1 year

I just loved this young lady she just looked completely the part her eyes were just transfixing and so blue I quite melted in her presence!!! Coupled with that the most wonderful presentation for a longhair imaginable she just defied me to give her anything other than first!!

2 HOYLANDS LITTLE MISS TURK 5 months

tortie and white But I so wanted to give her a first too, at five months this little lady has it all to come, what a character and so laid back as if she had been doing this forever!!! In wonderful condition with lovely expression and a very well groomed coat that was very strongly coloured and patched. I was so pleased that I gave her her own first in another class!!

both young boys and again it was such a hard decision.

From the same stable as Daisy I see and all my superlative comments apply to him too, all I can say is what a delight it must be living with and loving these two, Ms Rawson you are very lucky and a devoted owner!!

2 RICHES PERIDOTNIGHTRIDER tabby and white

Another very lovely exhibit, in lovely condition with not a hair out of place, it was such hard lines to come up against Booboo in this class. Handled so well and a real joy to handle.
