CAESAREA CAT CLUB SHOW 10TH OCTOBER 2009 JUDGES REPORT MS JANE E. ALLEN

Thanks so much to Mary and Joy for a really lovely show and super weekend. I had a lovely time. Thanks to Charlotte McFarlane for coming to steward and being the best help on the day! Also thanks to the club for their hospitality throughout the whole weekend and the lovely fudge to take home! I am sorry for this report being a little later than I would have liked, work has been very busy and just got in the way of finishing this report.

AC PERSIAN GRAND CHAMPION MALE

IMP GR CH LE MONNIERS GR CH KASHIMA RUMTUMTUGGER 70 1

Really attractive boy with lovely balance and type. I particularly loved his large, deep orange headlight eyes! Although not overly large his cobby body had good substance and his coat was soft and raven black. The undercoat developing well and he was shown in superb condition.

RES TOMLINSONS GR CH PELLARN POSSIBLEDREAM 4

Gentle lad with generally nice head and type, his eyes were nice colour just a little overshadowed by his brow. Large frame with super boning and weight. His coat was in need of a little more finish and at present his tail just a little sparse.

Really lovely young male with super expression. Gentle to handle. Lovely overall head and type. Round expressive eyes, short nose, full cheeks nice bite and chin. Cobby frame with lovely boning. His coat was needing the undercoat to grow through further to really give it that dense, plush feel but it was evidently developing. Well shown.

Nicely balanced young man with good head and type. Cobby frame with lovely bone and short, rounded tail. His coat was dense and just needed the undercoat to fully develop to give the desired soft plush feel. Nicely spotted patterning and such a sweetie to handle,.

Very nice boy with well balanced head and type. In full coat that just lacked the clarity of undercoat as yet. Am sure later in the season he will look the total picture.

his senior citizen goes from strength to strength and obviously thoroughly enjoys her outings!! She positively drowned up in the dribble. I was just so delighted with the strength of her eye colour and the lovely texture and patterning of her colourpointed coat. In such fab condition.

I like this mature lady too but for me the deciding factor on the day was her lack of contrast, I really struggled to find any variation in her cream coat however, she was so well shown and again loved us to bits!!

What a super boy, very strongly typed with wonderful head and neat ears. Orange eyes that he was not keen to open. Very short nose with slightly restricted nostrils. Fat cheeks nice bite and chin. Large frame with massive substance and stocky short limbs. Short, full tail. He just needed a final finish to really make him the total package.

Sweet lady with feminine head and type. Well placed slightly generous ears. Round copper eyes that were almost round. Short nose with full cheeks and nice bite and chin. I found that her head was just a little small in comparison to her body. Cobby frame with good short legs and tail. Well shown coat.

Oh if only I had not been flying home this little chap would have been in my pocket!! Appealing expression with super top and neat ears with the most ridiculous ear furnishings ever!!! Round muddy eyes that hopefully will be the deep copper colouring. Short nose with full cheeks, nice bite and chin. Cobby frame with stocky limbs and short, Christmas tree tail!!! Very well shown mainly white coat with small blue spots and a fully coloured pale blue tail. My best kitten of the day!!!

What a large, well built boy!!! So unusual to see an odd eyed white exotic and one that is promising in head and type. For his age I guess he is going through that slightly out of sync phase with his head a little small for his body. Promising balance though and as he grows and matures I am sure it will all come back into proportion. I particularly liked the size of him with great boning and short rounded tail. His coat was dense, thick and plush and so well groomed.

Smaller little lady who was rather unsure of the whole thing! She was actually older than the boy in age but was all over a much smaller frame and build. Quite nice general head and balance, I was not sure how her eye colour will finally finish developing as it was rather an interesting olive colour at present. Short nose with full cheeks and decent depth of chin. Cobby frame with short tail. Her coat was medium blue in colour with very nice texture and density. Well shown.

Cute little red tabby boy with oodles of character! Lovely top of head with neat, low set ears. Round eyes with sound orange colouring. Short nose with full cheeks. Teething bite and good depth of chin. Stocky frame with nice boning. Short, rounded tail. His coat was dense and well patterned and so well shown.

Sweet rather reserved young man who at yet was a little triangular in facial shape. Good top of head with wide set ears that he insisted on flattening. Round expressive eyes. Quite a short nose but needing more width and fullness to his cheeks. Coby frame with nice density and texture to his coat. I was just a little bit worried about the patterning as he was registered as a spotted but he also had a solid spine line and slight patterning of the butterfly across his shoulders.

Well grown young lady with medium type. Quite well set ears, her skull needs to develop more roundness. Large, round eyes of good orange colour. Quite short nose with decent cheeks. Acceptable bite and chin. Cobby frame that was well filled and stocky legs and short, rounded tail. Her coat was nicely patched with vibrant colours broken with patches of white. Well shown and a sweet personality.

Very attractive exhibit with superhead and type. Very nicely balanced, I particularly liked her neat, well set ears. Her body was cobby and a short tail and legs to finish. Generally well patched coat just a little mingling on her back detracted from an overall very pleasing exhibit.

Very well grown young exotic, with very pleasing balance to her head and type. Cobby frame with good classic patterning evident, just a little solid on her back but that is a disadvantage of most blue tabbies! Lovely coat texture and density. Well shown.

So pleasing to see this boy in the flesh, he is a very nice example of the breed. Pleasing head and type with good general balance and very decent eye colour a sound blue. At present he was lacking some undercoat that made him appear a little leggy but am sure this is just a passing phase and later in the season he will come together again.

Very well grown young man with slightly open type as yet, his nose needing to develop the break a little further. Generally his head needs to broaden further as he grows. Very lovely eye shape and colour. Confident little chap!

Very pleasing young lady with a broad and rounded head and skull. Medium sized ears set well apart on her head. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile. Cheeks developing well with good width to muzzle. Almost round deep blue eyes. Nice depth of chin full and well developed. Long body with good muscle tone and weight. Medium length, thick set limbs with short, round paws. Bushy tail in proportion to her body. Her points colouring was developing nicely with her mask, legs and tail showing seal brown intermingled with shades of red. Her legs being generally a lighter tone to her mask. Her coat was silky in texture, with the length developing around neck. Her gloves were white to just below the angle of the paw and leg. She had pure white socks covering the entire paw and her gauntlets were evenly marked tapering to ¾ way up the back of her hind legs. Well shown and a confident, outgoing personality!

Young, very well grown male with nice strength to his head and quite full cheeks. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile and pink leather. Medium sized ears set well apart on his head. I would prefer to have just a little more fullness in his cheeks and muzzle and just a little more strength to his chin. Almost round quite sound blue eyes. Lovely long body with great weight and muscle tone. Bushy tail in proportion. Medium length legs with short, round strong paws. His off white coat was developing well with good silky texture. His points colouring were cream and quite well matched. His gloves were well marked to the angle of paw and leg, on the left the white extending to the stopper pad. His hind limbs his white covered the whole paw and his gauntlets were white to ¾ up his back legs just not quite so well tapering as Freckles.

Litter sister to Flapjack. Her skull was broad and quite rounded with full cheeks tapering to a good muzzle and chin. Medium sized ears set well apart on her head. Almost round deep blue eyes. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile and a slight roman curve. Long body with nice weight and substance with medium length legs, short rounded paws. Bushy tail with the length in proportion to the body. Her points matched well and her off white body coat was silky in texture and developing in length. Her white gloves covered the front paws, her hind white socks covered the entire paw, her gauntlets were shorter only extending half way up to the hock with the right one not as neatly marked with a connected white line extending to the inner side of that leg. Very well shown and such an affectionate nature.

Mature female with a stylish appearance. Nice strong rounded and broad skull. Medium sized ears well set apart on her head. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile. Full, rounded cheeks with nicely developed muzzle and chin. Almost round eyes of a sound blue colour. Long body with good weight and substance. Well boned medium length legs with short, rounded paws. Bushy tail that was in proportion to her body length, just showing some brindling to the tabby rings but with solid colour to the end. Her coat was nicely shown, silky in texture and pale beige in colour with slight golden hue to her back. Her points colouring and markings were very clear with seal brown markings to the M on her forehead. Spectacle markings around her eyes and spotted whisker pads. Her ears both displayed the desired thumb marks. Her legs were clearly marked with several distinct stripes and solid markings above her gauntlets. Her gloves were white to the angle of paw and leg, the white socks covered the whole back paws and her gauntlets were well matching and tapered slightly to ¾ up the back of her hind leg. Very well shown female.

Very nicely balanced head with strong, rounded skull with medium sized ears nicely set apart on her skull. Almost round eyes, deep blue in colour. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile and with slate grey leather. Firm chin that balances her head. Long well developed body with super weight and tone. Medium length limbs with rounded strong paws. Bushy tail that is in proportion to her body. Silky coat texture with blue -white colouring, her points colour blue grey matching quite well on her mask it was just a little paler around her chin and whisker pads. Her white gloves were just below the angle of paw and legs, her hind legs the socks just covered the paws and her gauntlets tapered to ¾ up the back of her legs and matched well. Very well shown.

Very promising young lady with personality to match. Good head shape and nice length to width balance already. Square muzzle developing well. The ears are large , well set and lovely tips and tufts. Good profile line with shallow concave curve and perpendicular line from nose to chin. Large, expressive eyes in a slightly oblique setting. Her coat had a good glossy top coat and promising undercoat developing. Attractive tortie tabby colouring nicely broken with white. Good length of body, long limbs and strong rounded paws. Long, full bushy tail. Very well shown.

Stylish exhibit. Very good head shape with a broad, rounded skull. Ears of medium size and well set apart on his skull. Well rounded cheeks tapering to well developed muzzle and firm chin. Almost round eyes that were a super deep blue in colour. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile and pink nose leather. Long body with lovely weight and substance and medium length legs with round, strong paws. Lovely pale even cream colouring to all his points. Silky coat of mid length, off white in colour with slight golden hue. Well marked white gloves to the angle of paw and legs. White socks covering the entire back paws and tapering white gauntlets to ¾ way up his hind legs. Wonderful laid back temperament such a soft, gentle boy shown so well.

2 MANNINGS KYNOBI MERCURY 13c1 8.8.08

Large well developed boy. Strong broad, rounded head and skull with medium ears set well apart. Good full rounded cheeks, profile and chin depth. Almost round eyes of excellent blue colour. Medium length nose with slight dip. Long body with substantial weight and lovely boning to his medium length legs. Bushy tail in balance to his body. Dense seal colouring on the points, but sadly a small white spot evident on his chin. Full silky textured coat with good beige colouring. Well marked full gloves and socks, the gauntlets taper, the left being slightly untidy and an extra white spot on the right heel. A super lad in excellent condition.

Mature, gentle boy. Nicelyl balanced head with good width and strength to skull. Medium sized ears well set apart on his head. Good full, rounded cheeks that tapered to full muzzle and quite a good strength of chin. Well shaped almost round eyes, the eye colour slightly pale blue. Strong long body with medium length well bones limbs and short, rounded paws. His tail was fairly long and bushy. The mid blue-grey points matched well and his body was bluish white in colour with nice silky texture. His gloves were slightly low and scalloped, white socks covered the entire hind paws and his gauntlets well tapered and to ¾ way up his hind legs. Well shown and so good to handle.
