THE CAPITAL LONG HAIR CAT ASSOCIATION, Saturday, 9th January, 2010 (Including Household Pets)

Many thanks go to Sally Tokens and the committee of the Capital for the kind invitation to judge. This was a lovely show and all credit goes to all those who worked so hard to make the show a success despite the best endeavours of the great British weather!

 BLUE ADULT, FEMALE

1CC WH ROBERTS ALASKAN BLUE MOONRISE, (11.05.2007)

Good top of head with ears that are well placed but held a little tall and open at base. Large round eyes of a good orange shade. Short broad nose. Unfortunately bite is quite undershot. Strong muzzle and chin. Needs a touch more fullness to the cheeks to achieve facial balance. Solid body weight and conformation. Short tail. Coat is mid-blue in colour but is not sound to the root. Old guard hairs present. Coat needs much more attention to last the rigours of a show day.

 2ND HUDSON, ORBIS SERAFINA (25.08.2008)

Fair top of head. Ears are well placed but they are held tall and open at base. Eyes are a good orange shade but unfortunately they are almond in shape and a little hooded. Short broad nose. Face is somewhat triangular in shape and therefore is lacking balance. Body is rather rangy and tall on leg. Coat is mid-blue in colour but is not sound to the root. It too needs much much more attention to its show preparation if it is to survive the rigours of a show day.

TORTOISESHELL ADULT

1CC & BOB EDIKER, LAZANE GIGI (05.03.2009)

What a little corker! Fantastic Tortie. Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large, round, deep orange eyes. Short broad nose. Level bit. Very clean open, balanced facial features. Excellent cobby body sat low on short fat legs. Wealth of full flowing soft textured coat presenting patches of black and shades of read. A beautifully presented young lady. A real pleasure to judge.

WHITE (ORANGE-EYED) KITTEN

1ST & BOB BANGS LAFREBELLA KEIRA (18.09.2009)

Exquisite young lady. Powder puff on legs! Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large, round, muddy copper coloured eyes. Colour is developing nicely. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Cobby body sat low on short fat legs. Wee, beautifully furnished tail. Wealth of soft, flowing white coat, prepared to perfection. Black smudge to back and front of forehead. A joy to judge.

EXOTIC SH TABBY OR TABBY & WHITE KITTEN, MALE

1ST & BOB CAIRNS, HADFIELDS EYESGOT THELOOK (70 30 8 F) (26.07.2009)

Large boy, maturing nicely. Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears which follow the contour of his skull. Large, round eyes, deep copper in colour. Very good facial balance, coming together well, although a touch more fullness to his cheeks would give him excellent balance. Short broad nose. Level bite. Strong muscling to neck and shoulders. Excellent body weight and conformation. Strong short well developed legs ending in well rounded paws. Coat is dense and plush, standing away from the body. Patterning is unclear at this time as there is spotting in evidence but there also appears to be some mackerel too. Lines from eyes, “M” and lines over back of head present. Good bracelets and rings. Tail rings present. Rich cream markings on a paler background. A very promising kitten.

CLASS 70

1ST & BOB ANGUS, PALCHINNO PEACHES 12a6t, Tortie Tabby & White (04.09.2009)

Sweet baby with a very good top of head and very neat well placed ears with excellent width between. Large round eyes; colour is developing well – muddy copper at present. Lovely clean open balanced facial features. Short broad nose. Level bite. Cobby, solid body sat low on short fat legs. Short well furnished tail. Some tabby markings present to face – line from corner of eye, ¼ “M” to right brow. She has a white chevron. Ghost tabby markings go over the back of her head. Face is predominantly red & white with a small black smudge to left forehead. Patches of read colour to her back. Black and red to hind quarters, where bracelets are almost in evidence. More attention to the finer details of show preparation would ensure that her coat looks good throughout the day.

AC BREEDERS FEMALE

1ST BANGS, CH LAFREBELLA JOY, Orange-Eyed White (2a), (16.08.2008)

Absolutely super lady. Excellent top of head. Very neat well placed ears. Large round eyes of a deep orange colour. Short broad nose. Almost level bite. Excellent facial balance. Excellent cobby body conformation and weight. Wealth of soft full flowing coat – pristine white in colour. Prepared to perfection.

AC ADOLESCENT 1ST POTTER, PRIMISSION DILIGENT Cream (5) (25.03.2009)

Large mature young man with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large, round eyes of a good orange shade. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Super cobby body and excellent weight. Wealth of mid-cream coat which is not quite sound to the root. Some old guard hairs present to back and tail. Needs for more attention to his show preparation to get it through the rigours of a show day.

Very good top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large round eyes which are slightly hooded. Good orange colour. Short broad nose. Almost level bite. At the moment she needs more fullness to her cheeks to achieve facial balance. Good body weight and conformation. Coat is quite soft and colours and intermingling are coming in well.

Stunning young male who is maturing very well. Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large, round, stunning yes of a very good colour. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Super cobby body. Excellent weight. Wealth of soft textured coat. Coat is not dense black yet where black is present but it should be lovely when it clears.
