THE COLOURPOINT CAT CLUB, SATURDAY, 8TH JANUARY, 2011

Many thanks go to Kay and the committee of the Colourpoint Cat Club for their kind invitation to judge. My thanks also go to Suzzanna Heath who kindly stewarded for me; and also to Callum Ellis who is taking part in the youth scheme. Thank you Callum for all your hard work. I hope you enjoyed your day. Suzzanna thank you for coming to steward for me. I really enjoyed our day together and look forward to working with you again soon. Well as soon as your leg is out of plaster! I hope you are soon feeling better and are more mobile. Look after yourself.

GRAND CHAMPION MALE

1 IMP HIGGINS GR CH HEATHROSE BARNEY RUBBLE, Black (1) (26.05.2009)

Compact mature lad with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large, round, deep orange eyes. Short broad nose. Good leather. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Solid cobby body sat low on short fat legs. Coat has good length and texture; but is not quite as dense in colour as it could be in places. Good preparation.

AC NON-SELF CHAMPION MALE

1 GR ELLIS CH SOROLYA FAMOUS FOOTSTEPS, Cream Tabby Colourpoint (13b17) (10.07.2009)

Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large, round, deep blue eyes. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Super cobby body sat low on leg. Excellent ruff. Good points to ears, mask, legs and tail; all nicely matching, pleasing cream shade on a paler cream agouti ground. Body coat is creamy-white in colour. Good “M” and lines from eyes. Thumbprint to ears present. Bracelets present to legs. Super texture to a coat that has good length and was extremely well presented.

RES GR D’ABATE CH JOHNNYCAKE DAYTONA BEACH, Red Tabby Colourpoint (13b15) (18.02.2009)

This young man has a very good top of head with neat well placed ears. Large, round, deep blue eyes. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance. Solid cobby body just a touch tall on leg at the moment. This is not helped by the lack of length to his coat. Pleasing points colour to ears and mask; just a touch paler to legs and tail at present. Old guard hairs present to tail too. Good ruff. Lovely body coat colour, apricot-white in colour. Nice texture and well prepared.

AOC COLOURPOINT MALE

BOB D’ABATE CH JOHNNYCAKE DAYTONA BEACH, Red Tabby Colourpoint (13b7) (18.02.2009)

As above.

AOC COLOURPOINT FEMALE

1CC BARBER CH SASHARMEY CHANTEE, Red Colourpoint (13b5) (08.07.2006)

Sweet young lady with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large, round, eyes of a good blue shade especially for her age. Unfortunately, she does not use her eyes to their full potential. Excellent facial balance. Very solid cobby body. Coat has good length, substance and texture. It is apricot-white in colour. Good points colour to ears and mask, slightly paler to legs and tail but overall quite nicely matched. She was just a little let down by the staining to her bib.

AC NON-SELF PREMIER MALE

This lady has a good top of head with neat well placed ears. Large, round, eyes of a good blue shade. Short broad nose. Level bite. Good facial balance. Excellent solid body conformation sat low on short fat legs. Wealth of soft, full, flowing coat. Good seal and red patching nicely overlaid with tabby markings. Good “M”, lines from eyes, rings to tail and legs. Some seasonal shading to body coat colour. Nicely prepared.

Short broad nose. Almost level bite. Very good facial features including a firm chin, strong muzzle and round cheeks. Lovely cobby body sat low on short fat legs. Lovely matching points to ears, mask, legs and tail. Coat is full, soft and has good length. There is some seasonal shading to the body coat colour. A well prepared exhibit.

1PC PEPPERELL PR ADSETLO LADY LOUISIANA, Seal Tortie Tabby Colourpoint (13b16) (18.05.2007)

As above.

Good top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large, round, eyes which are just a touch pale in colour. Short broad nose. Almost level bite. Good muzzle and firm chin; just needs a touch more fullness to cheeks to achieve overall facial balance. Very light in weight but has a good cobby body shape. Nicely matching points presenting chocolate and shade of red. Body coat colour is presenting some seasonal shading.

What a little stunner! Excellent top of head with very neat well placed ears. Large, round, blue eyes. Short broad nose. Almost level bite. Excellent facial balance. Super cobby body sat low on short fat legs. Wealth of soft, full, flowing coat. Excellent matching points to ears, mask, legs and tail. Super creamy-white body coat colour. Absolutely beautifully prepared.

2ND GALLAHER ADECILO BON-BON, Lilac-Cream Colourpoint (13b10) (13.07.2010)

Good top of head with neat well placed ears. Large, round, eyes pale in colour. Short broad nose. Bite slightly undershot and off-centre. Good muzzle and chin. Needs more fullness to cheeks at present to achieve overall facial balance. Good body shape sat quite low. Good points to ears, mask, legs and tail. Coat colour is a pleasing creamy-white but felt claggy to the touch and was completely unprepared underneath. Definitely let down by show preparation.

AC MAIDEN KITTEN MALE

1ST LEWIS TROUILLORD FLAMBOUYANT, Red Tabby Colourpoint Exotic (70 13b15)

A lovely boy with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears that follow the contour of the skull nicely. He has large, round, eyes of a good blue colour. Short broad nose. Level bite. Excellent facial balance including a strong muzzle, firm chin and full, round, cheeks. Super neck and shoulder muscling. Cobby body and excellent weight sat low on short fat legs ending in well rounded paws. Excellent points to ears, mask, tail and legs. "M", lines from eyes, rings to tail and to legs. Coat is a pleasing apricot white colour. It is dense and plush to touch, standing nicely away from the body. A very pleasing exhibit. Nicely shown.

2ND FAWCETT ASSOLUTA GIANNI SCHICCHI, Cream Colourpoint Exotic (70 13b7) (10.08.2010)

Young lad with a good top of head. Ears are well placed but are held a touch tall at present. Large, round, eyes. Colour still developing. Short broad nose. Level bite. Strong muzzle and chin. Just needs a touch more fullness to cheeks to achieve facial balance. Cobby body sat quite low on short well formed legs ending in well rounded paws. Neck and shoulder muscling still developing. Tail in overall proportion to body. Coat points to ears, mask is still developing. Good points to legs and tail. Coat not quite as dense and plush as it could be. Nicely presented exhibit.

As above.

Mature boy with an excellent top of head and very neat well placed ears. Large, round, blue eyes. Colour good for age. Short broad nose. Level bite. Strong muzzle and chin. Need more fullness to his cheeks to achieve overall facial balance. Would like him to be a bit larger and to carry a bit more weight. Points do match but are quite heavily marked with tabby patterning. Coat is lacking in substance and it could have a softer texture.
