*THE LAKELAND & DISTRICT CAT CLUB SHOW - 19.6.2010* Mrs Ann Ivinson

I would like to thank Mr Irving and Mr Kavanagh and their Committee for their kind invitation to judge at this very friendly and well organised Show. A special 'Thank you' to Emma Gregson who stepped in at the last moment to Steward for me. I greatly appreciated her help.

2. JOHNSON'S DELTEEMA OPHELIA. 13c2. F. 20.10.09.

Obviously a litter-sister to the above and so deserving of a 1^st place. However, in the end, it was down to the darker colour tone of her blue-grey markings that decided the placing. A well grown young lady of 7 months showing good Birman type -- just a little shy today! Good underlying bone structure to head with nicely rounded head top; medium sized ears with furnishings; cheeks developing well tapering to muzzle line which was a little pinched; level bite, medium length nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a deep shade of blue. Good size boning to a long body; medium thickset legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat long, soft, and silky; ruff developing, with curls on abdomen; coat of a cool toned bluish-white with shading on hind quarters; points of a cool toned blue-grey to ears; mask developing well, spreading across nose to cheeks; legs a paler shade of blue-grey; tail shade matches facial colour; gloves white with slight scolloping on both feet; socks white; gauntlets pointed to below the hock. A lovely girl shown in excellent condition -- it was just a pity she met her sister today!

Still quite a young looking Chocolate girl for her age of 8 months, needing more time for her to develop her potential for good Birman type. Although good bone structure to rounded head top, with medium size ears, cheeks, needing more breadth, tapering to a narrow muzzle; firm chin, level bite; medium nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of medium blue. Body long, and still quite light in weight; light boning to medium length legs, with short strong paws; balanced tail a little sparse and needing greater fullness.
