LANCASHIRE CAT CLUB March20, 2010. Dr BRUCE BENNETT.

Many thanks to Cris Titterington and her colleagues for the invitation to judge at this Show, which was most enjoyable. Ross Davies came to steward and as usual was a most efficient and engaging companion on a busy day. My thanks, Ross.

AC ORIENTAL PREMIER MALE.

1. Gr PC withheld. ANDERSON’S PR FIORDILISO EARL GREY. MN (37a) 26.6.08.

Boy of pleasing type with a good even wedge head on which large ears are set well, oriental eyes needing a little more clarity of green. Good straight profile, level chin and bite. Chubby body, likes his food I think, slender limbs, neat paws, tail needs a little length for balance and shows a little terminal fault. Coat of quite excellent texture, short and close, even, sound blue.

NORWEGIAN FOREST KITTEN MALE.

1. BoB. WAREING’S NORGESKAUKATT OSKAR. M. (67 14c) 14.6.09.

Large, strong lad of good type with an even triangular wedge head on which sizeable ears and well spaced and set, sporting internal furnishings and tiny tufts, eyes of good almond shape with appropriate incline, colour gold rather than green. Profile nearly straight, and better when forehead fur smoothed back, chin lines up, bite correct. Powerful body, strong chest and substantial lengthy limbs, large paws with tufting on the way, excellent length of tail. Profuse coat, texture rather soft still but in keeping with his kittenhood, overcoat just discernible over lower back to the hand if not the eye. Clear pristine white throughout.

AC ORIENTAL BICOLOUR KITTEN MALE.

1. BoB. CASSAR SIMMONDS’ FIORDILISO INDIAN PRINCE. M. (48 40) 15.11.09.

Sweet little lad of very good type. Equilateral wedge on which proportionate sized ears are set and flared well, almond shaped eyes, set well and of excellent blue. Straight profile, chin aligned, bite meets. Medium sized, firm body, balancing limbs and tail. Seal points with bright white patching attractively distributed on mask and all four limbs and clear all down tummy. Good contrast between points and pigmented areas of body. Very well balanced.

 LILAC POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE.

1. CC withheld. JONES’ CH SARAMESE GOODLUCKCHARM. F. (24c) 16.8.08.

Nice type to this girl but she seemed very diminutive for her age. Wedge well balanced by ears of good size; eyes of very good shape, set and colour. Very good straight profile, chin lines up, incisors irregular but basically meet. Neat body and limbs, tail matching. Coat a little long but lies well, points mid lilac, could have more warmth ideally, excellent body contrast.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE KITTEN, MALE.

1. BoB withheld. GRAINGER’S WANDERING FOREVER AUTUMN. M. (24b) 7.11.09.

Little darling with a sweet short wedge, little pinch evident, ears of size, spaced well, held rather upright, eyes of oriental shape, good colour, set straight. Profile shows a little dip at the bridge, chin and bite level. Well developed body, matching limbs and tail. Coat of good texture, showing cool, dark chocolate points with stunning contrast to the unshaded body that looks almost white rather than ivory.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER MALE.

1. PC withheld. HARRISON’S OWAISSA OZIMANDIUS. MN. (24b) 18.1.07.

Boy with a long, slightly narrow wedge head showing a little pinch, ears of good size following its lines, eyes of oriental shape and clear blue. Profile shows a dip at the bridge, the chin sloping back giving the profile a rather pointed appearance, bite meets. Eye shape good, left appearing smaller than the right on the day but not inflamed. Neat medium sized body with balancing limbs, whip tail needs and inch. Darker chocolate mask and tail, paws a softer shade, good contrast to the ivory body that shows some shading. Rather dainty for his age.

APRICOT POINT SIAMESE NEUTER.

1. PC BoB. CRAWLEY & LAMBERT’S PR JOHPAS RAFAEL. MN. (32fn) 9.5.08.

Stylish individual with a medium length, even wedge head on which ears of good size are attractively spaced and flared, eyes of good oriental shape and incline, clear blue. Very good straight profile, chin lines up, bite meets. Graceful neckline, long lithe body and limbs, tail might be a tad longer for balance. Good close coat, typical soft apricot points with similar soft shading giving an attractive glow to the warm white body.

2. WEBSTER’S NANPENA BOLERO MN. (32fn) 13.2.09.

Another handsome neuter, unfortunate to meet the more mature winner today. Pleasing even wedge, ears of good size following its lines well, would like a little more space between for preference; oriental eyes for shape and set, good blue, sometimes a titch open. Profile shows a smooth gentle curve at the bridge, incisors just meet, with any encouragement the lower ones would sneak under. Good slender body, limbs and tail to match. Coat of excellent texture, matched apricot points, excellent contrast to the pale warm white of the body.

 AV SLH LIMIT ADULT.

1. STANLEY’S SHEERCLASS APPLE MAC. M. (64 41s) 12.8.08.

Strong young gentleman with a medium length head, just marginally short of muzzle breadth as yet, but acceptable, excellent tall ears nicely spaced and set, eyes of a light greenish shade, basic shape good, might perhaps be a little bolder. Profile shows the requisite gentle curve, chin firm and bite meets. Neck and body long and strong, the latter rectangular as desired, sturdy limbs and paws, balancing length of tail. Ear furnishings, tufts and paw tufts in place. Coat just a little short at present, good texture with overcoat well in evidence over the softer underlying layer, some ruff and britches there. Classic pattern wonderfully crisply outlined, perhaps assisted by coat length, facial tracings, complete necklaces, well demarcated oysters, tail ringing, good clear silver background.

 2. DELANEY’S DEENLAY TITANIA. F. (13c4) 18.2.09.

Lady with a well balanced head, broad and gently contoured, full cheeks , neat ears spaced and set well, oval eyes of clear blue shade. Profile shows the correct gentle dip. Chin firm, bite meets. Strong body, sturdy limbs, tail in proportion. Profuse coat of good texture, mask and paws a good pinkish lilac, tail has a slightly sandy tone. Gloves over toes in front and to the stopper pads posteriorly, socks just complete to hock a little irregular especially on left.
