Many thanks to Chris for the invitation to judge and to the Lancashire Cat Club for their hospitality. Many thanks to Emma Matthews for stewarding for me, I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. AV ORIGINAL CHAMPION MALE1 GCC PHILLIPS’S CH MELKELTER MERRY MONARCH 16a M 20.6.08Very good size and weight with good muscle tone to this twenty month old Russian Blue boy. Short wedge from the tip of the nose to the eyes which is equidistant from the eyes to the ears. Flat appearance to top of head between the ears. Good prominent whisker pads making a broad muzzle. Profile has straight forehead to upper eye level, shallow concave curve at bridge then nose is straight to tip. Level bite and good depth, level chin. Large, wide at base, vertically set, pointed ears with outer line following the outer line of the face. Green eyes are set wide apart, almond in shape and with a gentle expression. Medium boned, long body with long, proportionate legs and oval paws with blue pads. Good tail moderately long and gently tapering to balance body. Plushy double coat, with dense undercoat, fine and soft in texture, short and upstanding except along the spine which was less dense and a trifle flat. Medium blue in colour nice and even with minimal paling to roots and distinct silvery sheen overall. Faint rings on tail. Lovely temperament. RGCC JOHNSON’S CH KASHYK CZAR DOMBROVSKI 16a M 8.10.08Young nicely balanced boy of sixteen months of age. Head has a short wedge from the tip of the nose to eyes and is equidistant from the eyes to ears. Flat appearance to top of head between the ears. Prominent whisker pads making a broad muzzle. Blue nose leather. In profile straight forehead to upper eye level, minimal dip then nose is straight to tip. Level bite and fair depth, level chin. Fairly large pointed ears, wide at base and vertically set but I would prefer them taller for perfection but outer line follows the outer contours of the face. Full almond shape to eyes set well apart with a gentle expression and vivid green in colour. Very good size and weight to elegant, long, well muscled body of medium bone. Long, proportionate, medium boned legs to balance body with small oval paws with blue pads. Moderately long, gently tapering tail to balance body. Russian Blue with a plushy double coat, with very dense undercoat. Fine and soft in texture, short and upstanding. Light silvery sheen to rounded areas of medium blue coat which pales slightly to roots. Nice temperament. AV ORIGINAL CHAMPION FEMALE1 GCC BRYNES’S GR CH BOUNTIFUL O’SU’GAR 33a36 F 7.8.07Excellent size and weight to this two and a half year old Devon Rex lady. Short, broad wedge with good breadth to the top of the head between large ears set low and wide apart, wide at base and rounded at tips without tufts. Good width to cheek bones. For perfection I would prefer a little more skull depth but in profile slight flattening to brow before curving back to flat skull, good stop and short, straight nose shallows in depth slightly towards tip. Level bite and fair depth chin. Good, rounded muzzle and good whisker break. Large, green well set eyes oval in shape. Slender neck and firm, long, slender body of excellent size and weight, rounded chest and with elegant, long, slender legs and small oval paws. Long tail to balance body tapering nicely to tip and finishing with a curl to the fur. Excellent coat is dense and fine with an excellent, deep ripple all over body and well down legs and the tail. Just slightly sparse behind her ears and the centre of her tummy. Tail well covered in wavy fur. Slight muffs around the base of the ears. Short eyebrows and whiskers. Sweet natured. RGCC OAKLEY’S CH ADCINSH MAKSIM 16a F 4.10.05Mature and elegant four and a half year old Russian Blue lady. Head shows short wedge from the tip of the nose to eyes and is equidistant from the eyes to ears. Flat appearance to top of head between the ears. Prominent whisker pads making a broad muzzle with blue nose leather. Flat forehead to upper eye level, very shallow concave curve then nose straight to tip. Level bite and good depth, level chin. Large, pointed ears, wide at base and vertically held but with a slight forward tilt today. Eyes are set wide apart, almond in shape with a gentle expression, and vivid green in colour. Well balanced lady with a long, well muscled body of medium bone and good weight. Long, proportionate legs to balance body and small oval paws with blue pads. Nicely tapering tail of good length to balance body. Fairly dense undercoat to coat which is fine and soft in texture, short but just slightly flat along the spine. Medium blue in colour which pales slightly to roots but with a light silvery sheen. Sweet natured. AOC MAINE COON KITTEN MALE1 RATHBONE’S ROCKOON BASSETT 64 15 MN 7.7.09A teenage look to this eight month old boy who is still filling out and maturing. Head is medium in length with breadth developing. Fairly full cheeks and high cheek bones. Good in profile with shallow concave curve at the nasal bridge which is equidistant from the ear line and the tip of the nose and with nose of uniform width. Large ears with long, flowing feathering, wide at base, set high but well apart and tapering to appear pointed at tips with tall tufts. Full and round shape to eyes, lovely golden colour, spaced wide apart and with slightly oblique aperture and set. Very good breadth to square muzzle with a good depth, level chin and level bite. Large, long body, solid and muscular, square rump and good breadth to chest giving a rectangular appearance. Long, well boned legs and very large round paws with tufts emanating from under paws. Moderately long neck. Long tail, wide at base and tapering towards the tip and with full, flowing fur. Black Maine Coon with a lovely sheen to his black coat. Good undercoat with length developing to top coat of good texture. Fur shorter on head, neck and shoulders and starting to lengthen down back and flanks. Breeches, shaggy belly fur and frontal ruff developing. Lovely temperament. 2 HOLDEN’S WISCASSET JAK FROST 64 14b M 26.11.09Good size and weight for age to this four month old boy. Head is medium in length which I would like to see develop more breadth. Fairly full cheeks and high cheek bones. In profile minimal concave curve at the nasal bridge then nose is straight to tip. Tall, large ears, feathered, wide at base and tapering to appear pointed at tufted tips, held well apart but slightly upright. Odd-Eyed White Maine Coon with full and round shape to eyes spaced wide apart and with slightly oblique aperture and set. Fairly square muzzle which needs to develop more breadth but has a firm, level chin and level bite. Long body, solid and muscular, square rump and good breadth to chest with well boned legs and large round paws with tufts emanating from under paws. Good length tail, wide at base and tapering towards the tip with long fur developing. Fluffy kitten coat at present with breeches, shaggy belly fur and frontal ruff developing. Sweet natured. AOC MAINE COON KITTEN FEMALE1 & BOB BLADES’S ALISIKA MANHATTAN DREAM’S 64 41ew F 16.9.09Scrummy six month old girl who I would happily have taken home. Lovely head is medium in length and of good breadth being slightly less than the length with fairly full cheeks and high cheek bones. Well balanced with shallow concave curve at the nasal bridge being equidistant from the ear line and the tip of the nose and with nose of uniform width. Large, tall ears, well feathered, wide at base, set high but well apart and tapering to appear pointed at nicely tufted tips. Full and round shape to golden coloured eyes, spaced wide apart and with slightly oblique aperture and set. Good square muzzle with a firm, level chin and level bite. Good body, solid and muscular with a square rump and good breadth to chest giving a rectangular appearance. Proportionate length, substantial legs and large round paws with tufts emanating from under paws. Moderately long neck. Long tail, wide at base and tapering towards the tip and with well developed flowing fur. Soft kitten coat to body at present with length developing to breeches, belly fur and frontal ruff. Tortie Tabby and White Maine Coon of pretty, bright colours with white to chin, bib, front socks, centre of tummy and back high boots. Lovely temperament. SELKIRK KITTEN2 1ST Withheld NUTTER’S FURKIDS BRITTANIA FLAME 79S36e F 3.8.09Seven month old Selkirk Rex Shorthair girl with a brightly coloured tortie coat. Slightly curved top of head of good breadth but I would prefer more fullness to the cheeks. In profile rounded forehead, medium nose break and fairly short straight nose with a downward slant which rounds slightly at tip. Fairly good width to muzzle with fairly well padded whisker pads. Fair depth, level chin but unfortunately she has an undershot, twisted bite which was confirmed by the Duty Vet. Medium sized ears are broad at base and set well apart following the outer line of her face. Large, round, well open eyes are set wide apart. Compact body with a level back and equally broad shoulders and rump. Medium length, medium boned legs and good rounded paws. Good length tail, thicker at base and with a rounded tip but rather straight fur. The coat is fairly short and of even length, fairly thick and dense standing out from the body but I would prefer to see more curl by this age. Slight curl to short ruff framing face and curl to fur behind the ears and slight tufts to tips. Long, slightly curled eyebrows and short chewed whiskers. Nice natured. DEVON REX KITTEN FEMALE1 BOB Withheld STORK’S TYKETO IZADORA 33a31s F 17.11.09Dear little soul of four months of age who is still developing. Lovely pixie look to face with a short, broad wedge with high cheek bones, good muzzle and good depth, level chin. Unfortunately she is slightly undershot, confirmed by the Duty Vet but she is still noticeably teething. Brow curves back to still rounded skull, good stop and short, straight nose. Well defined whisker break. Large ears are set low and wide apart, wide at base and tapering to rounded tips with slight tufts. Slight ear muffs around bases. Large oval shaped, yellow eyes, set wide apart and sloping towards outer edges of ears. Hard body with good muscle tone, medium in length, slender and with a good breadth chest. Slender neck. Long, slim legs and largish oval paws. Good length, tapering tail with short, straight fur. Devon Rex with a soft texture to very short coat which lacks density at present and is straight with only a hint of a wave at the top of the legs. Short eyebrows and chewed whiskers. CREAM BURMESE NEUTER1 PC & BOB RIDDLE’S CH & PR OAKFORD DIZZY BLONDE 27f FN 3.7.02Rather overweight nearly eight year old lady which spoilt her overall balance but with a medium length body, shapely, proportionate length legs and neat oval paws. Well shaped tail is a bit short to balance body. Coat is a trifle long but close lying and of good texture. Rather dark toned cream for my preference but nice and even with slight powdering over the top of her head. Good width to gently rounded top of head between well set and shaped ears of good size. In profile slight rounding to brow, fairly good nose break, nose a bit long but straight. Level bite and fair depth chin, just looking a trifle fine at muzzle. Good size and shape to pale chartreuse eyes well set. Nice natured. BROWN TORTIE BURMESE NEUTERBOB TEGG’S GR CH & GR PR MINOTOSA PANDORA 27e FN 17.7.03Weighty but still well balanced nearly seven year old lady with a medium length body of good muscle tone. Well rounded chest and straight back. Shapely, proportionate legs and neat oval paws. Good shape to slightly tapering tail with a rounded tip, could be just a fraction longer for perfection. Coat is fairly short and fine, close lying and of excellent texture. Brown Tortie Burmese of rich brown prettily mingled with shades of red. Fairly short wedge, wide at cheek bones and with a blunt muzzle. Good width to rounded top of head between medium sized ears of good shape and set wide apart but held just a trifle low. In profile slight rounding brow, good nose break, nose a trifle long but straight. Level bite and fair depth, level chin. Chartreuse colour to eyes of good size and shape set well apart. Nice natured.
