LANCASHIRE CAT CLUB SHOW – 13.3.10 Mrs Sally Tokens

I would like to thank Chris and the committee for inviting me to judge at their show. I had a super day with some lovely exhibits. Many thanks to Steve Parkin who came along to help me steward mid morning after having completed his engagement with another judge. Thank you for all your help Steve, it was much appreciated.

AV SLH GRAND CHAMPION;

IMP GR CC; Whitby GR CH FELONIE SUCETTE PLAYBOY

chocolate tabby lad of nearly three years old. Excellent bone and very good substance. Medium size ears which are well placed. Cheeks full and nicely rounded muzzle. Lovely profile with a slight dip. Eyes almost round and showing a very good colour. Level bite. Clear and soft body coat which had a very good undercoat. Lovely chocolate tabby markings with a well defined m to the forehead, lines from the corner of the eyes across the cheeks. Good leg markings and a well ringed tail. Gloves even, One sock just a smidge higher. Gauntlets broad and even.

RES GR CC; Wilson GR CH JULESCOON TOTO

brown classic tabby maine coon of just over two years old. A very nicely developed lad with strong bone and good weight. Rectangular body shape. Large ears set quite high with a good width apart and small tufts. Cheeks fairly full with high set cheek bones. Slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Eyes a touch small but with a slightly oblique aperture and set and green in colour. Level bite. Square muzzle. Nice breadth and depth to the chin. Very soft top coat and a small amount of undercoat which had been well prepared. Very good butterfly to the shoulders and oyster markings to the flanks. Well furnished tail with some rings evident. Warm copper agouti ground colour with lovely black markings.

IMP GR PC; Thorpe GR CH & GR PR RUSKITA JEFFURSON JONES

black smoke and white maine coon just over four years old. A huge lad and a real heavyweight. Excellent strength of bone. Well shaped body. Small tufts to large well positioned ears. Cheeks fairly full and high set cheek bones. Green colouring to the eyes which had a slightly oblique aperture and set. Medium length nose with a slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Square muzzle. Nice breadth and depth to the chin. Coat of a medium length which had a very good depth of undercoat. White contrasts are visible. Top coat just lacking a little sheen today. Tail lightly covered and reaching to the shoulders.

IMP GR PC; Wormald IGR CH & GR PR DANLEIGH STARBURST

seal tortie female of nearly six years old. Nice bone structure and good weight. Well positioned ears of a medium size. Cheeks nice and full and muzzle well formed. Medium length nose with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Medium blue colouring to the eyes which were almost round in shape. Level bite. Seal brown and a good red to all the points. Gloves evenly marked. Socks symmetrical. Gauntlets equal in length and breadth. Tail well furnished and reaching the shoulder blades also showing both colours.

RES IMP GR PC; Leese GR PR SHANLIVLE DELTA

tortie and white Norwegian Forest cat approaching three years old. Triangular head shape which is equilateral. Long straight profile. Forehead slightly rounded and a fairly firm chin. Ears are large with a good width at the base and small tufts being well feathered. Oval shaped eyes of a green colour. Long body with a solid bone structure and having a fairly deep chest. Standing taller on the back legs with large paws. Coat having a very woolly undercoat and a smooth overcoat. Coarse texture can be felt. Tail reaching to the shoulders and is well furnished. Very good patches of rich red and jet black.

BLACK ADULT MALE;

1 CC Hacking BALOOBOO SWEET SUCCESS

short cobby body and set low on the legs. Not yet a year old and very well developed with strong bone and very good weight. Small ears which are set low on the side of the head. Cheeks full and round. Eyes large and of a very good copper. Short broad nose with a good stop and large leather and nostrils. Level bite. A minimal amount of shading to the ruff otherwise the coat was jet black in colour and sound to the roots. Excellent show grooming. Short full brush.

2 Higgins HEATHROSE BARNEY RUBBLE

another very nice lad again not yet a year old. Excellent strong bone and very good substance. Dinky ears which are well set. Cheeks full and round. Eyes of a lovely shape and deep copper colour. Short broad nose with a good break. Level bite. Skull nicely rounded. Coat very long and with a small amount of undercoat. Deep black colouring to the mask, neck and on the legs. Some shading at present to the ruff. Very full tail which balances with the body.

3 Hindle MORDAVELL NEPTUNE

just over three years old and a very well built lad with good bone and lovely weight. Strong eye colour to large rounded eyes. Skull nicely formed. Cheeks of a good breadth. Level bite. Short broad nose and a good stop. Large rounded paws with small tufts. Coat quite long and with a ruff to frame the face. Just lacking in undercoat at this present time and not a sound black to the roots today, obviously going through a change of coat. Tail lightly covered and reaching the shoulders.

BLACK ADULT FEMALE;

BOB Morris GR CH HEATHROSE AGENTPROVOCATEUR

a stunning female coming up to two years old. Excellent show preparation with a long and full black coat which was sound and even to the roots. Full and flowing. Ruff to frame the face and a short full brush. Tiny ears set low on the side of the head. Skull well formed. Cheeks full and round. Eyes large and of a deep copper colouring. Short snub nose with a good stop and large leather and nostrils. Level bite. Gloss to the coat. Nicely tufted feet. A very nice female.

WHITE ORANGE EYED ADULT MALE;

BOB; Stewart UK & IGR CH LAZANE ON CLOUD NINE

coming up to three years old and a large well developed lad with super strength of bone. Small well set ears and a nicely rounded skull. Cheeks full and round and a good strong muzzle. Eyes of a good shape although he does not show them off to their best being a very good orange colour, nice and deep in colour. Level bite. Coat long and full which was clean and white all over. Flowing and very well groomed.

WHITE ORANGE EYED ADULT FEMALE;

1 CC Nicholas GEMKIN OBSESSION

only just over nine months old and a very well grown female with lovely sound bone. Short cobby body. Ears well positioned. Cheeks full and round. Skull nicely formed. Eyes large and round and of quite a muddy orange at this stage. Level bite. Short broad nose with a good break. Small amount of undercoat to the body which had been well groomed and was pristine white. Short full brush. Still very young but a nicely balanced girl.

DOMINANT CAMEO KITTEN;

BOB withheld 1 Van Heumen HIGHSPOT ROCKSYMUSIC

tortie shaded cameo of five months old and a very pleasing exhibit whom I was sorry to have to withhold on. At the present time her coat is very upside down with the colour extending right to the roots on the body, a better coat pattern can be seen on the head. Lovely bone and very good weight for her age. Round eyes with good copper developing. Teething at the moment but a level bite. Short broad nose with a nice stop. Full cheeks and a rounded skull. Small well set ears. Pale red to the paws and a medium red colour to the head. Small areas of pale red to the body. Good tail.

AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL KITTEN FEMALE;

BOB withheld 1 Barrowclough POSHKITTIES AUTUMN BREEZE

blue colourpointed. Very small in size for eight months old. I would have preferred to have seen bigger bone and more substance with only a month to go before she enters the adult class and this was my reason for withholding the best of breed. Very good eye colour to the eyes which had a slightly oblique shape. Flat plane. Ears slightly tilt forward. Full cheeks and a level bite. Gentle dip in profile. Some shading to the body coat and spectacles around the eyes. Tail lightly covered and reaching the shoulders. Medium blue colouring to all the points.

AC BI COLOUR RAGDOLL KITTEN;

1 & BOB Jones GROOVICATS ELYSSIA

blue bi colour girl of six months old. White patch to the back and a white collar. White to the legs and a symmetrically marked inverted v to the face, which just dips very slightly to the left hand side. Coat soft in texture and of a good blue beige colour. Very good bone and lovely weight. Ears medium in size and slightly tilt forward. Flat plane to the top of the head. Cheeks quite full and a good muzzle. Eyes with a slightly oblique shape and nice depth of blue colour. Level bite. Tail balances with the body and is well furnished. A very nice kitten with a pleasing expression.

2 Fitzpatrick EMERISLE CRÈME BRULEE

blue tortie bi colour girl of nine months old. Very good body weight and nice bone structure. Well positioned ears which slightly tilt forward. Flat plane. Lovely width to the cheeks and a nicely rounded muzzle. Well set eyes of a medium blue colouring. Profile medium in length but really quite straight at this time. Level bite. Very soft blue and cream to the points and white limbs. Inverted v in white to the face which is on the muzzle and just up on to the nose. Very good temperament. Silken texture to the coat. Tail showing both colours and is lightly furnished in proportion to the body length.

AC PERSIAN ARISTOCRAT NEUTER;

1 Honeyman VARNIE SASHA

tortie exotic girl of two years old. Very good bone and lovely weight. Strong copper eye colour and good width to full cheeks. Very good colours to the coat of a rich red and jet black well patched. Small amount of undercoat and soft texture, standing away from the body.

1 Mlynek & Hayward CH COONANIMA SNOWDRIFT

blue birman of a year old. A very impressive lad with excellent strength of bone and weight. Strong blue colouring to well shaped eyes. Very full cheeks and a good muzzle. All feet markings level. Clear body coat, soft and full.

1 Barton CALIFORNIABLUE JANITA

seal colourpoint ragdoll girl coming up to three years old. Very shady coat today but still affording to a contrast. Super bone and weight. Just a little pinched in the muzzle. Very shallow gentle dip to the profile.

2 Barrowclough ROYALRUMBALLS HILDA

tortie colourpoint girl of just over two years old. Strong eye colour to slightly oblique shaped eyes. Coat lacking in undercoat today, soft to touch. A small amount of shading to the body coat. I would like a little more width to the cheeks. Very good colours to all the points.

seal tabby birman not yet a year old. Strong bone and very good substance. Excellent texture to the body coat which was showing a lovely depth of undercoat. Strong tabby markings and well balanced type. Deep blue colouring to the eyes.
