THE LINCOLNSHIRE CAT CLUB JUDGE – MRS B PROWSE 10/07/2010

 Thank you for the invitation to judge at this year’s show, the first ever combined ALL Breed show. Things seemed to go well and I had a very enjoyable day in the company of Sarah Walker. As always she handled the exhibits with care and expertise. Thanks Sarah, look forward to the next time.

BROWN/BLUE TABBY MAINE COON ADULT

 1CC BOB MRS A HOPKINS’S OCEANARIA QUIRIMBAS (64 41) M 11/9/09

 Brown Tabby Maine Coon whom I judged a couple of weeks ago and I was delighted to award him his certificate today. Good size, well built and standing on substantial legs with large round well tufted paws. Body long with proportionate limbs creating the characteristic rectangular appearance. Head medium in length with tall, well tufted ears that are set high but well apart. Round eyes which are set slightly oblique and gold in colour. Nose of uniform width with a slight concave curve. Square muzzle with firm chin, cheeks filling nicely. Good bite. Coat well prepared. Coldish copper ground colour with black markings. M to forehead, spectacles around eyes, spotted whisker pads, thumb prints to ears. Well defined classic markings to body. Tail very long, well ringed and well furnished.

BOB MRS A BLADES’S GR CH BIG-HANNIBAL’S DARK DEVIL (64 31) M 30/5/08

 Black and White Maine Coon. Body is long, solid and muscular. Head medium in length. Ears are tall and large with good furnishings. Eyes are full, round and hazel in colour, set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Square muzzle. Cheeks full with firm chin. Level bite. Coat well prepared with ruff developing well. Dense black coat with white to face, chest, feet and underparts. Tail long and easily reaching the shoulders. Lovely boy with a great temperament.

 AOC MAINE COON ADULT FEMALE

 1CC MS F STANLEY’S PAMPUSHKA EBONY RAIN (64 15) F 12/7/08 

Black Maine Coon. Well built young man with a long body, which was solid and muscular. Medium sized head with large, tall ears which where wide at the base, well set and nicely tufted. Round hazel eyes spaced nicely apart and set slightly oblique. Nose of equal width with a slight concave curve. Square muzzle and firm chin. Full cheeks. Good bite. Substantial legs with large round paws which where well tufted. Tail long and at least the length of the back and tapering towards the tip. Well-prepared dense black coat with ruff and breeches developing well.

2ND MRS S MCHUGH’S FELLPURRS INCA OF LEWSHAN (64 41ew) F 11/6/09

Tortie Tabby and White Maine Coon. Solid and muscular with good breadth to chest standing on substantial legs with large round well tufted paws. Head medium in length, nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Cheeks needing to fill at present. Level bite. Square muzzle. Eyes full and round, spaced well apart and set slightly oblique. Well presented coat with full ruff and breeches. Brilliant copper brown ground overlaid with red with well defined black tabby markings. White nose and whisker pads, white chest, feet and underparts. Tail well ringed and at least the length of the back. Very promising young lady.

3RD MRS S ROGERSON’S COONSEQUENCES BABYLON (64 41e) F 3/8/09

 Tortie Tabby Maine Coon of good size and shape. Body medium in size, solid and muscular standing on substantial legs with large round well tufted paws. Head medium in length with large tall ears that are set high and needing a little more space between them. Full round gold eyes which are set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Level bite. Cheeks just needing to fill out now. Coat needing much more preparation showing rather diffused tabby markings on a warm copper ground colour which is overlaid with shades of red. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints. Tail long, well ringed and at least the length of the body.

BROWN/BLUE TABBY & WHITE MAINE COON KITTEN

1ST BOB MRS A WAITE’S OLIROSE MYKIND OFGUY (64 41w) M 25/2/10

Brown Tabby & White Maine Coon of good size and shape. Solid and muscular standing on substantial legs. Head medium in length with good width between large, well tufted ears. Full round gold coloured eyes that are set slightly oblique. Bite a little overshot at present but he is teething. Cheeks fairly full with high cheek bones. Muzzle is square. Black classic tabby markings on a warm copper agouti ground. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to ears. Butterfly to shoulders with oyster on each flank. Back showing well defined spine lines. White chest, feet and underparts. Coat well prepared with ruff and breeches developing well. Tail well ringed and at least the length of the back.

Lovely class and a real headache.

1ST MR & MRS ROGERS’S MILNUSS MISS VICTORIA (70 8e) F 3/9/09 

Tortie Tabby Exotic of well balanced Persian type. I just love this young lady. Cobby in shape and low on the legs. Round head with good width between well furnished ears. Round eyes of copper. Short broad nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full cheeks, strong chin. Coat dense, plush and standing away from the body. Warm brown ground colour overlaid with a rich red with black tabby markings. M to forehead, spectacles around eyes, spotted whisker pads, thumb prints to ears with unbroken necklaces to neck and upper chest. Shoulder markings forming an outline of a butterfly with oysters to both flanks. On the back an unbroken line runs down the spine from the butterflies to the tail with a stripe on either side of this and running parallel to it. Well ringed fully furnished tail.

 2ND MR I MORRIS’S GR CH HEATHROSE AGENT PROVOCATEUR (1) F 2/4/08 

Black of lovely size and shape. Beautifully balanced for type. Round head with good width between neat ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose with full black leather. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Coat dense black, sound to the roots and well prepared. Dinky tail. A lovely young lady.

3RD MRS M THORBURN’S ALINDAS PASTAL CONFETTI (12a8t) F 17/7/09

 Blue Tortie Tabby and White. Cobby in shape and standing low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round copper eyes which I would have liked to be a shade larger. Short snub nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Well prepared coat showing a nicely patched coat of a pastel blue and cream and a sparkling white. Tabby markings are a little diffused due to length of coat. Markings showing well on head and legs. Well ringed tail.

 1ST MRS D NELSON’S PICTUREBOOK YOUSTOLEMYHEART (12a2) F 12/2/10

 Blue and White Bi Colour of good size and shape. Cobby and standing low on short thick legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round copper eyes. Short snub nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat of a sparkling white and a medium shade of blue. Nicely patched coat. Dinky tail.

1ST MISS A ROSS’S MOUNTAIN SPIRIT BLUBOOBALOUCAT (67 16) M 13/7/09

 Blue Norwegian Forest who is well grown for his age and has an alert expression. Body is long and muscular and he stands high on the legs with the back legs longer than the front ones. Head is triangular with all sides equal and he has a lovely long straight profile. His chin is firm and he has a level bite. Forehead is slightly rounded and he has large ears that have good width at the base. Eyes are large oval, obliquely set and green in colour. Coat is developing at the moment, he has an undercoat but it is soft to the touch at present and he lacks his topcoat. Tail is long and bushy. Handles well.

2ND MS F STANLEY’S CH SHEERCLASS APPLE MAC (64 41s) M 12/8/08 

Classic Silver Tabby Maine Coon just needing to fill out and mature, his time will come. Good length to body standing on substantial legs with large round paws which are well tufted. Head medium in length with ears that are large and tall, wide at the base, set high and well apart. Hazel eyes that are full and round spaced wide apart with a slightly oblique aperture and set. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Level bite. Square muzzle developing well with firm chin. Coat well prepared and showing well defined Tabby markings. Good markings to head, legs and tail. Tail well ringed and at least the length of the back.

 3RD MRS S MCHUGH’S FELLPURRS INCA OF LEWSHAN (64 41ew) F 11/6/09

 Tortie Tabby and White Maine Coon. Solid and muscular with good breadth to chest standing on substantial legs with large round well tufted paws. Head medium in length, nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Cheeks needing to fill at present. Level bite. Square muzzle. Eyes full and round, spaced well apart and set slightly oblique. Well presented coat with full ruff and breeches. Brilliant copper brown ground overlaid with red with well defined black tabby markings. White nose and whisker pads, white chest, feet and underparts. Tail well ringed and at least the length of the back. Very promising young lady.

 AV SLH ARISTOCRAT NEUTER

1ST MR & MRS STOKER’S JULESCOON RAMBO (64 41d) MN 19/5/09 

Red Tabby Maine Coon. Body of good length, solid and muscular showing the characteristic rectangular appearance. Head medium in length with ears that are large and tall, well tufted and tipped. Full and round gold coloured eyes. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Muzzle is square with fairly full cheeks. Level bite. Well prepared coat which has a lovely silky texture and is a good length and is displaying excellent classic tabby markings. M to forehead, spectacles, spotted whisker pads and thumbprints to ears. Good butterfly across shoulders with oyster to both flanks. Spine lines are apparent with good barring to legs. Rich red markings on a bright apricot ground colour. Tail easily reaching the shoulders, well furnished and well ringed. Excellent temperament.

2ND MRS J REAVELEY’S CONEBE ANGEL DELIGHT (66a) FN 24/5/07

Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll who was very laid back. Long and muscular body standing on legs that are medium in length on large round well tufted paws. Broad head with flat plane. Ears are medium in size, set wide apart and tilted forward. Large slightly oblique deep blue eyes. Nose of medium length with a gentle dip and slightly retrousse at the tip. Good bite. Muzzle round, firm chin. Well-prepared coat showing quite a lot of surface shading but clearing at the roots. Coat is silken in texture and she has a ruff framing her pretty face and well developed knickerbockers. Points colour a medium shade of blue and are all matching. Tail long and bushy reaching the shoulders
