Thank you to both show managers for the invitation, it was certainly different and I think it went very well, I hope all the exhibitors felt the same way, I am sure it is the way forward. A huge thank you to Peter Collins who had his arm twisted and stewarded for me, he is superb company and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. A.V. BRITISH GRAND CHAMPION MALE1. I.G.C.C. EDNEY’S IMP GR CH ROCADANNE MR BEAN (30d) M 15/10/07I have given this boy an Imperial in the past and written about him recently when I gave him a C.C, I think he is a super example of the breed, it is however his stunning temperament that I love the most, it was a lovely way to start the day. A.V. BRITISH GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE1. I.G.C.C. KINGSWELL’S GRCH LORASTON GRETA-GARBO (17) F 17/04/07Cream. I have always found cream girls are either softies or real madam’s and luckily this girl comes in the former class, so was a delight to handle. Full round head with small well set ears, very expressive eyes a deep orange colour, short nose with a very distinct dip when viewed in profile, balanced well by full fat cheeks and rounded muzzle, level bite and good chin. Nice size and substance to body with firm well boned limbs. Fabulous coat that had a crisp texture and wonderful pale cream colour that was free of any ghost markings. Balanced length tail with rounded tip. 2. RES I.G.C.C. KIDD’S GRCH MAKEWAYFOR KRESTAAMELIA (30s) F 03/10/05Silver Spotted. This girl had a rather grumpy expression but actually was very easy to handle. Quite round head with smooth skull between well set ears that were just a fraction on the large side, not helped by her tendency to splay them to the side. Round eyes a rather pale yellowish green colour, broad straight nose, she needs a little more depth to her muzzle, level bite and fair chin. A good size with nice boning to frame, short coat a mid silver with clear dense black markings, well defined spine line and side spots, she has some tarnish to her nose. Rather short tail showing some rings. A.C. SELKIRK REX ADULTBoth boys were lovely it was a difficult decision B.O.B. TO MORREY-DREW’S CH ASPIRITIOUS URIAH HEAP (79s 16) M 28/04/09BRITISH BI-COLOUR NEUTER1. P.C. B.O.B. MOORE’S GRCH VALPETINA APACHE BYDESIGN (31a) MN 01/08/06Blue & White. What a lovely boy, a little on the shy side but he responded well to a cuddle. Good rounding to head with smooth top between ears that were just a fraction on the large side. Large well opened eyes the most gorgeous deep orange colour, broad straight nose, full cheeks and rounded muzzle, level bite and firm chin. Large frame with sturdy boning he retains very good balance for a neuter, short dense coat a mid blue and sparkling white. White blaze to face, white to chest legs and stomach, he has a cute white patches that come up his back legs to his haunches and almost looks like he has a saddle. Balanced length fully coloured tail with rounded tip. 2. PIPER’S BETELLA BUTTONS (31f) MN 10/06/09Cream & White. This boy had a very feminine look, he was super natured and very inquisitive. Fairly round head with more width needed between rather large ears, round orange eyes, rather thin faced he needs to develop his cheeks and also muzzle, level bite, a little weak to the chin. Rather long and lean body he has a lot of filling out to do, his coat lacked undercoat so seemed rather long and flat lying a rather hot cream. White blaze to face, white to chest legs and stomach, he has a cream dot just beneath his nose, there are quite a lot of tabby markings in his cream patches. Long tail showing some rings. BRITISH COLOURPOINTED NEUTER1. P.C. B.O.B. BLATHERWICK’S PR ADVISH ARRAMINTO (40 3) MN 26/07/06Chocolate Colourpointed. A large boy a fraction unbalanced, fairly round head with medium width between well set ears, large round eyes quite a good blue colour, broad straight nose, full cheeks and rounded muzzle, level bite and fair chin. Quite a long frame well filled frame held on sturdy boned legs, short coat that is moulting badly so lacked density, well defined mask and points and very heavily shaded to his body, full tail with rounded tip. 2. RILEY’S LILACMIST BLAZE OF GLORY (40 5) MN 20/01/09Red Colourpointed. A nice natured boy, despite being 16 months a little adolescent looking, head more oval that round in shape, slightly narrow top between ears that are currently rather large and unbalanced. Round eyes a pale blue colour, narrow straight nose, cheeks and muzzle need to fill and round, level bite and weak chin. Nice boning to frame, it is rather long and lean, he needs to pack on some weight which I suspect will come with time. Short coat rather lacking in undercoat, well defined mask and points a light red, clear creamy-white body colour, fully coloured balanced length tail. BRITISH BLUE-CREAM ADULT1. C.C. B.O.B. FIGGINS’S HYSSOPUSS CASHMERE (28) F 15/08/09This girl did look a bit like a large kitten, she has super expression and has been schooled in how to charm the judge as she could not stop head butting and purring. Round head with medium width between slightly large ears, very expressive round eyes a rich orange colour. Short straight nose, small round cheeks and muzzle, level bite and good chin. A compact shaped frame with short sturdy boned limbs and neat round paws, super short dense quite well mingled coat, it was this and her persuasive nature that swung the balance on the certificate, three paws show both colours the back left is solid, balanced length tail. 2. BROWN’S MAWBRITS HEIDI HI (28) F 02/08/09A friendly girl that was easy to handle. Round head with smooth skull between well set ears that are a fraction large and wide to the base, round orange eyes with a green rim to the pupil, broad nose with rather deep break, her cheeks are filling but the muzzle is rather square, level bite and fair chin. Lovely size and substance to frame she will be a large girl, short medium blue coat a little lacking in density, well mingled with cream but there is a ghost spotty pattern visible, all paws show both colours, medium thick tail with rounded tip. 3. SMITH’S COLINSWOOD TALLULAH (28) F 02/07/09Another good natured girl. Fairly round head with medium width between rather largeears , well opened deep orange eyes, short broad nose, her cheeks are filling but she is very square to her muzzle at present, level bite and firm chin. Good boning to compact shaped frame, short coat a rather dark blue it has a harsh texture and is very flat lying, plus it seems to be more patches rather than mingled colour to the body, all paws showing both colours, balanced length tail. BRITISH BLACK SILVER TABBY ADULT1. C.C. B.O.B. LEONARD’S SARGENTA SILVER ANDREAS (18) M 29/05/09A super natured boy who you could waste hours on he has super boning and is going to be a big lad. Round head with smooth skull between well set medium sized ears. Round eyes with the colour developing from round the pupil, short broad nose, his cheeks are filling nicely he just need needs to fill out his muzzle, level bite, firm chin. Great size and substance to frame he is fairly long and lean at present when he puts some weight on he will be a huge boy. Short coat a dark silver with clear dense black markings, he has M to face, separated spine line, the oysters are not totally complete, balanced length tail with rings. 2. DOHERTY’S SALOUTON APOLLO SOLAR STAR (18) M 04/06/07This boy was a sweetie, although he was only a little younger than my winner he was much smaller and very adolescent looking.
