THE LONDON CAT CLUB SHOW

13.06.09 SHOW REPORT – MARY KALAL

A friendly show with a very pleasant atmosphere and some lovely cats and kittens to handle and judge; I thoroughly enjoyed my day and thank Maria and the Club for the kind invitation and excellent hospitality. A big thank you also to Sue Amor who stewarded for me, handling the cats with care and kindness and showing them to their advantage; we spent a very happy day together and I look forward to the next time.

AV ORIGINAL FSH PREMIER MALE:

1 and GR PR to LAWRIE PR CHRISAN CHARANGO (33.31bs) 3.7.06.

A handsome cat showing a little ‘sporran’ hanging under his tummy at present, otherwise a firm lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine well covered tail; large ears with rounded tips and high set, balanced medium length head with a flat skull gently curving to an almost straight profile with a very slight dip, rounded muzzle, firm chin and level bite; eyes of oval shape and hazel colour with an excellent expression. Elegant neck; coat short but quite dense and silky in texture, well waved over his body and under-parts and showing an attractive pattern of dark chocolate patched with pristine white; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

AV ORIGINAL FSH PREMIER FEMALE:

1 and GR PR to NOBLE GR CH & PR TROIKA AURORA (16a) 3.5.02.

A pretty mature female with a firm well muscled body, long fine legs with oval paws and balanced tapering tail; ears fairly large, narrow and well set, particularly when her attention is caught, short head with a flat skull, slight curve to profile, broad muzzle with prominent whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes of almond shape and clear green colour with a typical expression. Excellent coat, short dense and silky in texture, showing even medium blue colouring sound to base with a lovely silvery sheen; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

RESERVE to CURTIS PR CURTILLA PSKOVA (16a) 15.10.05.

Another pretty female of good type and balance with a firm lithe body, dainty legs with oval paws, balanced tapering tail; ears quite large, narrow and high set, short head with a flat skull, slight curve to profile, broad muzzle with prominent whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes of almond shape and dark green colour with an excellent expression. Coat short and very dense, texture slightly coarse over her lower back, otherwise silky, colour slightly lighter towards base, otherwise an even medium blue with a silvery sheen; excellent condition and well presented.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION MALE:

1 and IGC to MARTIN GR CH GLENTHORNE CONSTANTINE (24) 4.12.05.

A handsome and charming cat with a truly imperious look about him; long firm well muscled body, long fine legs with oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes, colour appeared to be dark blue, excellent expression. Long elegant neck, coat short and close with warm dense seal points and showing good contrast; excellent condition and most beautifully presented.

RESERVE to OWEN GR CH ROYSTERER SNOWDANDY (24c) 8.9.06.

A strong and handsome male also of excellent type and balance, very difficult to choose between him and the seal, just the quality one looks for in this class! Long firm well muscled body, long fine legs with oval paws and fine balanced tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even medium length wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of excellent almost violet blue with a lovely expression. Long neck, coat short and close with soft lilac points colouring and a clear magnolia colour to body; excellent condition and most beautifully presented.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE:

1 and IGC to REED IGC JOHPAS SENORITA RUMBALITA (32a) 1.5.05.

A beautiful female of excellent type and balance with a long hard well muscled body, long fine legs with oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, almost straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of intense blue colour with an excellent expression; long elegant neck. Coat short and close, excellent shine and texture, soft red points colour with a soft warm tone to clear body; excellent condition and most beautifully presented.

RESERVE to PININGTON GR CH SPINDIAMOND PLAYME (61e) 4.8.99.

A pretty veteran female looking great for her 10 years with a firm lithe body, legs and paws in proportion, tail long, tapered and plume-like; ears fairly large and excellent wide set and flare, medium length wedge head, very slight dip in profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes colour appeared to be deep blue, excellent for her age. Silky coat of very good length, showing ‘fringes’ along her sides, points well patched and mingled in warm seal and shades of red and she has harlequin markings on her face, clear body colour; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

BROWN MARBLED BENGAL ADULT FEMALE:

BOB to JOHNSON/HEYL CH TYPHAST SELLENE (76.20) 3.10.07.

A very pretty female of good type and balance with a long firm well muscled body with breadth of chest and depth of flank, strong legs with rounded paws in proportion, tail balanced and even; ears moderate, rounded and well set, neat slightly small head to balance, curve to broad nose, good broad muzzle with prominent whisker pads, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and green colour, dark rimmed. Coat short, dense and silky in texture, showing a very attractive marbled pattern in black and brown on a warm buff background, full of glitter; excellent condition and well presented.

THAI BLUE POINT NEUTER MALE:

1 IC and BOB to CHERKAS JUSARKA FUNTIME FRANKIE (34.40.2) 5.1.01.

A big cat of typical Korat type and attitude who grumbled all the time he was out of his pen but who handled well; firm but large heavy body, strong legs and paws, tail tapered and balanced; ears large, wide at base and high set, medium length head with a heart shaped face, width across his eyes, dip in profile, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; large eyes of excellent set and vivid blue colour which dominate his face. Coat short and close, breaking along his spine-line, showing medium blue points colour and a cool tone to body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

RED POINT SIAMESE NEUTER MALE:

BOB to TALBOT PR MORALYN REDARROW (32a) 4.3.07.

A handsome and charming cat, well balanced with a long lithe body, long fine legs and oval paws, long fine tail to balance; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of intense colour with an excellent expression. Long neck, coat short and close with medium red points and a clear warm tone to body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

1 and PC to MASON ROZANDEN RUAIDHRI (32a) 6.6.08.

An elegant cat with a long firm body, long fine legs with oval paws and fine balanced tail; large ears well set and flared, long even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of intense colour with an excellent expression. Long neck, coat short and close with medium red points colour and a clear warm tone to body; excellent condition and presentation.

AC OCICAT, SINGAPURA OR EGYPTIAN MAU ADULT:

1 to CAUNTER THICKTHORN MADRAS (73b) 19.9.07.

A lovely female of type and balance with a firm lithe body, legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered, balanced and well ringed; ears large, tufted, of excellent set and showing thumbprints on the back, medium length head with a slight break to profile, good broad muzzle, firm chin and level bite; eyes well set and expressive hazel colour. Coat short and close excellent shine and texture, showing a clear well spotted pattern in warm chocolate on a rich agouti background, excellent condition and most beautifully presented.

2 to DAVIS CH MAUISHA NEPHERHOTEP (78.30s) 21.1.07.

A strong and handsome male with a large body, legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered balanced and well banded; ears moderately large, rounded and well set, balanced head, slight break to profile, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set, dark rimmed and green colour. Coat short, close and well spotted in black on a clear silvery white background; excellent condition and well presented.

3 to WICKS CHANTINA AMISI OF MEMPHIS (78.30) 21.4.08.

AV FSH (6 – 9 months) KITTEN:

1 to GRETTON THICKTHORN BACCHUS (73) 2.12.08.

A strong and well developed young male neuter with a firm muscular body, strong legs and paws, tail tapered, balanced and well ringed; ears large, tufted and showing thumbprints on the back and with excellent set, balanced head, slight dip in profile, broad muzzle, firm chin and level bite; eyes of full almond shape and hazel colour, dark rimmed and excellent expression. Coat short and close, showing a beautifully clear pattern of black spots on a tawny agouti background; excellent condition and presentation.

2 to HIGGINS SUNTOUCHED AMBALEE PEACHES (76.30) 27.10.08.

A very pretty female with a long firm well muscled body, medium length legs with rounded paws in proportion, tail balanced, even and well ringed; ears moderately large, rounded and well set, neat slightly small head, curve to broad nose with puffed leather, broad muzzle with whisker break, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and green colour, dark rimmed. Coat short and dense, pattern showing spots and rosettes in lovely warm rufous colours tipped with glitter; excellent condition and presentation.

3 to CRAGG MAGICAL MIZ TIGGYWINKLE (33a27sx) 8.11.08.

AV ORIENTAL ADULT:

1 to WHISTON MIZZDAYCE GONEWITHEWYND (48h) 18.6.07.

A very pretty female with a long firm body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, medium length wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of clear green. Short close coat of excellent shine and texture, very attractively patched and mingled in warm chocolate, shades of red and with pristine white covering up to one-third of her body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to CONNELLY LUNATORA ARAMIS (43s) 16.5.08.

A young male with a long firm body, long fine legs and fine balanced tail; large ears well set and flared, medium length wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; eyes of oriental set, quite full shape and green colour. Coat short and close with a silver shaded pattern tipped in black on a silvery white base with barring on legs and rings on end of tail; excellent condition and presentation.

3 to GREATOREX MEWZISHUN EPHORN (37r) 21.6.08.

AC BALINESE BREEDERS ADULT:

1 to PININGTON GR CH SPINDIAMOND PLAYME (61e).

2 to PININGTON SPINDIAMOND INBLUEJEANS (61a) 13.8.06.

A shy male with a firm body, legs and oval paws in proportion, tail balanced and plume-like; ears large and well set, medium length wedge head, slight dip in profile, good chin and bite; oriental eyes, colour appeared to be a lovely dark blue. Coat silky but rather short and needs to be longer for perfection, dark blue points and cold tone to body; excellent condition and well presented.

A very pretty female with a firm well muscled body, dainty legs and paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, medium length even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of clear green. Coat short and close showing shaded patches tipped in chocolate silver on a pristine white background, very clean patching; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to MIDSON MIYOKO SUPER-TROOPER (48.43bs) 21.11.08.

A handsome young male, well developed and strong with a firm muscular body, long fine legs and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of clear green, excellent expression. Coat short and close showing a high white pattern with two chocolate silver shaded patches on the top of his head and on his tail ending with a white tip and some barring on his back legs; excellent condition and presentation.

3 to GIRDLER SHANTAI SPARKLER (35) 4.10.08.

1 to JANICKI SHERMESE LIFEO’RILEY (32.1) 10.9.08.

A handsome and fine boned young cat with a long lithe body, long fine legs and long fine well ringed tail; large ears of excellent set and flare with thumbprints, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of deep blue with an excellent expression. Long elegant neck, coat short and close, excellent seal tabby markings, body lightly ticked in tone; excellent condition and presentation.

3 to CROWLEY/LAMBERT JOHPAS RAFAEL (32fn) 9.5.08.

AV ORIENTAL SENIOR NEUTER:

A good looking cat with a long heavy body, fine legs with oval paws and fine balanced tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of dark blue colour. Coat short, close and brilliant white, excellent condition and beautifully presented.

Another handsome cat with a long firm body, long fine legs and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of clear green; coat short and close, warm lilac colour, excellent condition.

A beautiful female of excellent type and balance with lovely soft lilac colouring, dark blue eye colour with an excellent expression; long fine tail to balance; excellent condition.

2 to JANICKI IMP GR PR SHERMESE VERY VERSACE (24) 27.8.05.

A fine boned and handsome cat of excellent type and balance with warm seal points, balanced head, depth to chin, dark blue eyes; coat shaded but he does have contrast.
