A great show with a friendly atmosphere and an excellent steward in Richard Barlow who was prepared for everything except a nuclear attack and I’m not sure about that. Congratulations to Dorothy, who has a long history with the Manchester show and for the invitation to judge. A bit of a red letter day as a siamese exhibit was Overall Best in Show; not a common occurrence at an all breed show.
AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND CHAMPION MALE:

When anyone encounters this male they have to do a double check on the judge’s book to check his age – he is ten years old and a credit to his owner and breeder. Shown in exemplary condition and all male. Good type overall with a balanced head of good length and well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite with all his teeth and good chin. Oriental eye shape, slightly straight set with deep blue colour and dreary expression. Long, muscular body of good type with slim legs and slightly thick tail which could do with an extra inch. Warm chocolate points and an ivory coat which was completely unblemished, short and close lying. Thoroughly deserving of this high award.

Another mature exhibit of ethereal appearance. Fine boned and elegant with proud demeanour and stylish type. Excellent top of head with balancing width between large ears. Straight profile, several teeth missing but bite appears to be level and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with sapphire blue colour and disdainful expression. Well defined neckline and long lithe body of good muscle tone and stylish type with slender legs and long whip tail. Excellent cream points colour and a slightly long, unshaded coat of excellent texture.

Large well grown male slightly lacking in type. Ears need to be larger with more width between. Dip in profile, level bite, pinch to muzzle and good chin. Slightly full eyes lacking oriental shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper. Long, muscular body with slightly heavy legs and long tail. Dark chocolate points colour and a heavily shaded coat of good texture which was a fraction long.

Stylish female with a long wedge with slight pinch to muzzle. Good top of head and large well placed ears. Straight profile, tiny depression on brow, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Elegant head carriage and long svelte body of stylish type with slim legs and very long whip tail. Dark, warm toned points and a slightly long ivory coat of excellent texture.

A mature female of correct type with well placed ears of adequate size. Balanced wedge with straight profile, slightly untidy bite due to loss of some teeth and good chin. Slightly straight set eyes of oriental shape and deep blue colour. Long, firm body of good type with fine legs and whip tail. Good lilac points colour and a clear magnolia coat of excellent length and texture showing slight shading on shoulders and flanks. In good condition and well presented.

Ultimately best overall exhibit, just ten months old and of exquisite type. Balanced head of good length with ruler straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape beautifully placed with sapphire blue colour and enigmatic expression. Regal head carriage and a long, firm body of excellent type and muscle tone with dainty legs, tiny feet and very long, well ringed whip tail. All tabby markings well defined and a sleek close lying coat of exquisite texture. Oh, I almost forgot, large well placed ears held a fraction low.

Young kitten with excellent top of head and large, well placed ears. Good profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly deep set eyes of excellent shape and good blue colour. Delicate neckline and firm body with dainty legs and long whip tail. Unmatching chocolate points at present which are darker on the ears and a clear ivory coat of good length and texture.

Well grown kitten of overall good type with large ears held slightly high. Balanced wedge with straight profile, level bite and good chin. Straight set eyes of oriental shape and deep blue colour. Long firm body, slender legs and long tail. Dark lilac points colour and a clear kitten coat of good texture.
TABBY POINT KITTEN MALE:

Almost an adult and very well grown with a good length head and large ears held slightly high. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Full eyes of good basic shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper. Long, well nourished body with strong legs and long slightly thick tail. All tabby markings well defined with thumb prints, M on brow, single ribbons, leg bars and bracelets and well ringed tail. Ticked coat of excellent length and texture.

Stylish youngster of excellent type. Long wedge with good top of head and large ears. Slightly flat brow, straight nose, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Proud head carriage, well defined neckline, long sleek body with dainty legs and long whip tail. Points a little on the dark side but having a good warm tone and an ivory coat of outstanding length and texture. Very poised and confident.

Slightly dark lilac points and a magnolia coat of exquisite length and texture.
