1ST PC HANDY’S NORSKMAGI TAVARIS (67 31ts) MN 24.06.08

A well-grown young man, a black silver tabby & white of only 14 months. Strong & muscular yet elegant too. Triangular head slightly longer than wide & his muzzle could be a little broader. Long straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Large tall ears with tiny tufts & set high & wide so as to follow the lines of his head. Large green eyes of oval shape in an oblique setting. Long elegant body with strong limbs & large rounded feet with tufted toes. Long bushy tail. Well-prepared coat of a good length with a ruff & knickerbockers. Dense woolly undercoat, topcoat developing with slightly coarser hairs down his back. Attractive silver tabby & white colouration. Shown in excellent condition and very easy to handle.

NORWEGIAN FOREST NEUTER FEMALE

1ST PC FISHLOCK-LOMAX’S ADATELO HAUTE CATOURE (67 31et) FN 15.04.08

A young tortie tabby & white girl of 16 months of a good weight for her size. Good triangular head with all sides equal. Rounded forehead & straight profile but her chin falls away a little. Level bite. Large ears set wide apart & following the lines of her head. Oval eyes but they could be a little larger & set slightly more obliquely. Strong neck & strong muscular body, strong limbs with large feet & tufted toes but her tail could be longer for balance and it is not very bushy at present. Silky coat, nicely prepared but the topcoat is yet to develop and not much undercoat at present. Lovely colouration with a large amount of brilliant white contrasting with tortie tabby patches. Easy to handle. I hesitated over the certificate but made allowances for her age and the time of the year.

BOB HOLME’S PR JOTUNKATTS AMBIANCE (67 31t) FN 31.08.05

A mature brown tabby & white girl of not quite 4 years. Triangular head with all sides equal & practically straight profile, good chin and level bite. Well-set ears and large oval eyes in an oblique setting. Lovely strength & bone development to this girl, she has a long body with strong limbs & large feet with tufted toes. Long bushy tail. Double coat with a coarser topcoat covering a woolly undercoat. Lovely overall balance & easy to handle with a gentle nature.

DEVON REX KITTEN, MALE

1ST (BOB WITHHELD) RICE’S BOUNTIFUL JOEBLACK (33a 36) M 25.12.08

A well-grown black smoke boy of 8 months who is very elegant but needs to muscle up. Head a little long & narrow at present, hopefully it will broaden with age & his nose is a little long. Only a slight whisker bread and his muzzle could be stronger. Flat skull & rounded brow but only a slight stop in profile. Level bite with lovely teeth and deep chin. Large ears with a broad base & rounded tips, they are set low but are too close together due to lack of width to the top of his head. Large oval eyes set wide apart and on a slant. Long neck & moderately long body carried high on long limbs with oval paws. Long tapering tail well-covered with a soft but very short coat of an even length on the body & although rexing is present it isn’t long enough to curl fully. Crinkly whiskers. Shown in lovely condition and easy to handle with a very sweet nature. Best of Breed withheld because of the head type.

DEVON REX KITTEN, FEMALE

2ND (1ST WITHHELD) BURRIDGE’S RIPPLEREX TAISIE (33a 40 3) F 10.04.09

A typy little girl of only 4 months with a very sweet temperament. Head a short broad wedge with a well-defined whisker break and strong muzzle. Short nose & high cheek bones. Flat skull & rounded brow, quite good stop plus a nose bump. Strong chin but her bite is undershot (confirmed by Duty Vet) but she is only young and teething so it may improve? Large ears with a very broad base, set low & wide apart. Blue eyes of oval shape set wide apart and on a slant but they could be larger. Elegant neck & medium length body with elegant limbs and small oval feet. Long fine tail. Well-covered apart from the underside of her neck, her coat is a touch long but of an even length on the body. Loosely waved with better rexing on the lower flanks, wavy fur on the tail and short fine fur on her tummy. A very cute kitten, a pity about the bite.

EGYPTIAN MAU KITTEN FEMALE

1ST & BOB CASE’S STARRSAILOR MAUVELOUSMISTY (78 30s) F 23.12.08

A well-grown elegant girl of 8 months who needs to muscle up and fill out her body though of a good weight for her size. Head a slightly rounded wedge of medium length though her profile is a touch straight and she is a little pinched on the muzzle. Level bite but her chin could be a little stronger. Almost parallel nose. Well-set ears of medium size and large straight set eyes of rounded almond shape. Medium long, graceful body with limbs to balance & almost round, dainty paws. Moderately long tail tapering slightly to a dark tip. Close-lying coat of medium length with black markings on a silvery-white agouti base. Distinct spotting on the body, spine line breaking up. Lovely clear leg markings. A sweet natured girl shown in lovely condition.

SPHYNX KITTEN

1ST & BOB MACDONNELL’S NOBILERO AILISH MOGRA (84 20) F 09.03.09

A well-grown brown tabby girl of 5 months. Head a modified wedge slightly longer than it is wide, the whisker break could be more distinctive but good prominent whisker pads. Slight stop to the profile & shallow but acceptable chin and level bite. Huge ears with a broad base and rounded tips set at a slight angle to the head. Lemon-shaped eyes that could be a little larger. Long neck, body a little long but with a rounded abdomen and limbs to balance. Long fine tail. Typical absence of coat and very warm to the touch. Fine down on the body giving the desired warm chamois leather feel, slightly thicker down on the nose & back of the ears. Wrinkly chest. Easy to handle and shown in lovely condition.

RUSSIAN BLACK OR WHITE KITTEN ASSESSMENT

MERIT TO: SEDGWICK’S CATWO HUGO BOSS (16a 15) M 26.04.09

Russian Black A very well-grown young boy of only 4 months who looks like a Russian. Only young so head still developing – his skull is a little rounded and the angle is yet to develop. Short wedge and prominent whisker pads, good chin and level bite. Large ears set vertically to the head. Ideally his eyes could be larger but they are almond in shape and a good green colour is developing. Elegant & muscular body, well-grown with limbs to balance and quite small oval paws. Tail moderately long and tapering. Short coat though ideally it could be denser and plushier. Jet black with a glossy sheen and good colour to the roots. Excellent condition and temperament. A very promising boy and a pleasure to judge.

RUSSIAN BLUE NEUTER

1ST PC & BOB ALLEN’S PR ELENITA PERESTROIKA BLUE (16a) MN 13.04.07

An elegant boy of 2 years. Broad head with a flat skull & short wedge. Good angle & profile plus a small nose bump. Level bite though his chin falls off a little. Prominent whisker pads. Vertically-set ears but they could be larger. Large almond-shaped eyes of a pale green colour. Long body but he is a little bony down the spine, long limbs to balance & long tapering tail. Double coat, plushy on the shoulders but lying a little flat down his lower back though I made allowances for the time of year. Even blue colour with a silvery sheen. He was not in the best of moods but OK to handle.

2ND HUGUENIN’S ADATESH MAGNUS PUERI-KE (16a) MN 22.07.08

A young well-grown boy of only 13 months. Rather a long head with a straight profile and his whisker pads could be more prominent. Level bite but his chin could be a little stronger. Large ears that are set rather wide, it was difficult to get him to put them up. Large, rather full eyes of rounded almond shape, green in colour. Long elegant body with long limbs and long tapering tail with a small fault at the tip. Short reasonably plushy coat but it is a little harsh and lacking density. Even blue colour and good colour at the roots. OK to handle though reluctant to return to his pen.

BOB REEVES’S GR PR ANNERA LYNX (23) MN 20.09.08
