NATIONAL CAT CLUB SHOW - 28 NOVEMBER 2009 JUDGES REPORT - MRS CELIA DE MARTINO

My thanks to Carol, Ron and the committee for their kind invitation to judge here again. I had a lovely day some gorgeous cats and was ably assisted by my experienced steward and friend Carole Pearson. Thanks Carole, here’s to the next time.

BLUE OR LILAC TORIE & WHITE NEUTER

1PC & BOB CORCORAN’S JISTEIL SQUIRREL’S SHADOWA

gorgeous dilute tortie and white with well prepared long soft silky sparkling white coat. Colour to tail and the top of head separated by white. Patch of colour to chin and cream tear drop from eye. Good distribution of blue and cream. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, pink nose leather, prefer a touch larger, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Fairly bold orange eyes Large cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, feathered feet, short tail. Excellent condition, excellent temperament although a bit of a wriggler today.

2 HENDERSON’S MAVOURENN SO SCRUMPTIOUS

Another gorgeous girl a bit tetchy today. Well prepared long soft silky coat. A lot of white which was sparkling. Colour to tail, patches to back were cream would prefer some blue in them. Face well marked showing cream and blue. Whisker pads white and also chin. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, round fairly bold orange eyes, short nose with stop, prefer larger leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short legs, and fairly short tail. Excellent temperament.

AC BI-COLOUR RAGDOLL KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB HAMILTON’S PHATPAWS CLUFORT WEGWOOD

A well grown well prepared blue bi colour rag doll just over 4 months. Well prepared soft silky very pale beige coat, lovely blue tail..Blue to top of head and ears separated by a white inverted V coming from forehead covering nose whisker pads chin chest and tummy. Body colour going slightly down back legs, front legs white. Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and retrousse at end. Pink nose leather, full rounded cheeks, level bite and firm chin. Eyes well placed but would prefer a stronger shade of blue. Strong muscular frame, legs of medium length with rounded paws, tail of a good length but would prefer longer to be in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

A well grown well prepared girl just over 6 months old Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and retrousse at end. Pink nose leather, full rounded cheeks, level bite, rounded muzzle and firm chin. Eyes well placed fairly dark blue. Strong muscular frame, legs of medium length with rounded paws, tail of a good length in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition. Well prepared soft silky pale beige coat, lovely blue tail.. Blue to top of head and ears separated by a white inverted V coming from forehead covering nose whisker pads chin chest and tummy all legs white. Excellent temperament and condition.

well grown well prepared seal bi colour girl just over 6 months old. Good width and flat plane between well set furnished ears, rounded at tip. Nose of medium length with gentle dip in profile and retrousse at tip. Full rounded cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Well placed Blue eyes. Strong muscular body, sturdy legs with rounded paws, fairly long seal brown tail. Well prepared soft silky beige coat with some white patches. Seal colouring to face still developing. Seal brown ears and to top of head. White coming from inverted V on forehead covering nose whisker pads, chin, chest and tummy. Excellent temperament and condition.

An exquisite white girl with long soft silky sparkling white coat, every hair separated. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, lovely round expressive orange eyes, prefer a touch bolder for perfection, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, short full tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 EDIKER’S CH LAZANE CLASSIQUE.

Another beautiful orange eyed white with excellent top of head, well place furnished ears, short nose with stop, good bite full cheeks and firm chin. Round orange eyes a touch deep set. Cobby rounded frame, sturdy legs, and short tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

4 month old black lad showing promise. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby frame, short sturdy legs and short tail. Round bold muddy eyes showing promise of good copper colour to come. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 HOWES’ HONEYMIST CREAM EXQUISITEA

cream girl just over 4 months old. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, round fairly bold muddy eyes, full cheeks, firm chin, teething today so quick look at bite which seems ok. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short tail. Well prepared soft silky pale cream coat with minimal shading. A lovely girl. Excellent temperament and condition

1 MURRAY’S UK & IMP GR CH JEDDIAH PYDIAS

A huge brown tabby and white exotic. Well prepared coat, soft dense new coat coming from shoulders, rest touch harsh and past it’s best., not springy, lacking in undercoat. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Large cobby rounded frame, short sturdy ringed legs , rounded paws and thick ringed tail of medium length and in proportion to body. White to legs and tummy. White coming from inverted v on top of nose covering whisker pads, chin and chest. Classic black tabby markings on warm brown background. Butterfly and oysters defined and tram lines either side of spine line. M to forehead and lines coming from outer eyes. Excellent temperament and condition

2 TOMLINSON’S GR CH & PR PELLARN CLASSY CLEO

A red lass 9 years old with exceptional eye colour, deep orange. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Large cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and medium length tail in proportion to body. Well prepared coat of a lovely rich red, a bit harsh but looks great. Excellent temperament and condition.

1 GILLMAN’S MABALAKAT ROTHKO.

A stunning maine coon brown tabby and white lad only just over 9 months old. Well grown for age. Lovely large tufted and furnished well placed ears, nose with concave curve and nasal bridge, well placed eyes, square muzzle, good bite and strong chin. Muscular strong frame, well grown for age and still lots more growing to do. Sturdy legs and long tail. Well prepared coat of good length and texture. White paws and white coming from inverted V on his forehead. Excellent black tabby markings on warm brown background. Face nicely marked but back rather solid. Excellent temperament and condition.

Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip. Nose with barely perceptible dip in profile and retrousse at tip. Rounded cheeks, well set blue eyes, good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular body with sturdy legs and tail in proportion. Excellent temperament and condition.

1 HERKES’ MABALAKAT CLARICE CLIFF.

A lovely tortie tabby and white maine coon girl. Well placed large ears with excellent long tufts and showing furnishings. Nose showing concave curve at nasal bridge, well placed hazel eyes, good bite, square muzzle, and firm chin. Strong muscular body with sturdy legs and tail in proportion. Well prepared coat of good length and texture. White paws, nose whisker pads chin and chest. Excellent distribution of black and shades of red. Tabby markings visible, black on a warm brown background and red on a paler red background. Excellent temperament and condition

2 GEARTY’S SKILLYWIDDEN STALLA

A seal tabby birman girl who was a bit tetchy today. Well prepared beige coat, a touch harsh to base of spine but having stunning tabby markings. Seal brown on a fairly warm, paler brown background. Even mittens and gauntlets. Well placed furnished ears, nose of medium length, well placed blue eyes, good bite and firm chin. Strong body with legs of medium length and a tail of medium length in proportion to body. Excellent condition.

3 VALE’S ADNIOLO PHATPAWS BOOTIGIRL

1 BARSTOW’S RUTTERKIN CHESRBARSTON.

A huge red silver tabby maine coon lad just over 6 months old so still a lot of growing to do. Well prepared coat of good length and texture. Rich red tabby markings on paler red background, silver undercoat evident. Well place large furnished and tufted ears, nose with concave curve at nasal bridge, good bite, square muzzle firm chin, well set expressive eyes. Large strong muscular body sturdy legs and long tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 BAXTER’S VILLERNELLE OF LEAHBLEUES.

A cream mackerel tabby and white maine coon lad just 8 months old. Another huge boy with well placed furnished and tufted ears, nose with concave curve at nasal bridge, well placed eyes, good bite, square muzzle and firm chin. Large strong muscular weighty frame, sturdy legs with huge paws, long tail. Lovely mackerel tabby markings of a darker cream on a paler cream background. White to legs and tum and white coming from inverted V on forehead, covering nose whisker pads, chin and chest. Loves to play but looks too big to be doing this. Excellent temperament and condition.

A large handsome blue eyed white Norwegian forest lad with a lovely triangular shaped head. Only 7 months old and well grown for age. Well placed ears, furnished and tufted, straight broad nose of medium length, good bite and strong chin. Large well placed oval blue eyes, obliquely set, alert expression. Large weighty strong muscular frame, fairly long sturdy legs , rounded paws and feathered feet. Long fully furnished brush. Well prepared sparkling white coat of good length and texture, lovely full ruff framing his face. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 SMITH & PARKS-YOUNG’S MIALIRA PAPAVER DULCE..

What a poppet, ran winner close. A blue tortie tabby Siberian girl just over 6 months old and showing promise. Well prepared soft silky coat showing excellent distribution of blue and cream. Tabby markings to back, ringed tail, M to forehead, spectacles around eyes and lines coming from outer eyes. Good head shape with rounded muzzle and chinNose of uniform width with a slight concave curve at the bridge in profile,Ears of medium size, rounded at tip and set wide apart large eyes obliquely set and oval. Muscular body with broad chest, legs of medium length., sturdy, large rounded paws. Long well furnished tail. Excellent temperament and condition. Well prepared coat of medium length Excellent temperament and condition

Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip. Nose of medium length with barely perceptible dip in profile, retrousse at tip. Rounded cheeks, well set blue eyes, good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular body tail of medium length and in proportion sturdy legs. Excellent temperament and condition.
