NATIONAL CAT CLUB 28 November 2008 Judge: Perri Hutchison

I would like to thank Carol & the Committee for the kind invitation to judge at the National. A well organized show well attended with festive rosettes. A lovely Christmas lunch was served. Thanks to my friend Sarah Sellman who ably stewarded for me, and was great company as usual. Thanks a million Sarah!

Asian Tabby (Spotted, Classic, Mackerel or Ticked Kitten

1 & BOB LEAR’S KAGURA APOLLINA 72 45q F (1.6.9)

Brown ticked tabby with Burmese colour restriction. Pleasing young lass, although rather petrified! Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Tiny muzzle pinch present. Eyes are set well apart, top lid slanting towards her nose, rounder fuller lower lid, yellow in colour. Good expression. Rounded brow. Fair nose break, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail is of good shape, rounded tip, balances. Coat is long but lies well. Nicely and evenly ticked with three clear bands of colour, ie: base coat, brown colour and ticked end. Rich warm seal brown markings. Nice “M” on forehead and thumbprints on back of ears. Super eyeliner. Broken necklace. Darker spine line and solid tail tip. Spotty tummy. Sweet lass who loved a cuddle. Shame she was not showing herself to her best advantage. I hope we managed to reassure her with the cuddles! Well presented.

Chocolate Burmese Adult, Male

Young immature lad rather grumpy! Gently rounded top of head. Large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Needs to fill out at jaw. Flat brow. Fair nose break. Nose is long in profile and rolls off at tip. Slightly receding chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paint brush tip, balances. Coat is long but lies well, nice texture and shine. Warm even chocolate. Hissy grumpy chap but handled ok. Well presented.

Chocolate Burmese Adult Female

1CC & BOB JAMES’ KARESAMA FILANDRE SERENADE 27b F (20.7.7)

Nice mature girl of good type. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, lovely blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. Rounded brow. Good nose break, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, but is very short to balance. Coat is long but lies well, good texture and excellent sheen. Prepared to perfection, not a hair out of place. Nice even warm chocolate. Grumpy too, probably due to her male neighbour! Well presented. I understand this made her up to Champion today, many congratulations to her owner and breeder!

very unhappy grumpy boy who was very difficult to handle. Gently rounded top of head. Large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, yellow in colour. Rounded brow, good nose break, nose rolls off at very tip, slightly receding chin, level bite. Large muscular lad of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, balances. Coat is long but lies well. Nice even lilac, very slightly blue toned. Well presented.

2 JENNER-PESCADOR’S MACOYS PESCADORABLE HENRI 27c M (27.6.8)

immature looking lad. Gently rounded top of head. Nice size ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. Flat brow, fair nose break, nose is long in profile and rolls off at tip. Firm chin, level bite. Bad acne on chin. Weighty muscular lad. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail is of a good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Severe stud tail, and also a wet bottom where he had spilt his water! Coat is long and open. Even lilac but is very blue toned lacking pinky hue. Friendly chap. Well presented.

young girl just adult, but of good type. Gently rounded top of head. Large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, nice blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, yellow in colour. Rounded brow, excellent nose break, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Has a bit of acne on her chin! Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat is long but lies well. Good texture and shine. Nice even lilac with good pinky hue. Sweet girl. well presented.

Blue Burmese Neuter, Male

Grumbly young chap. Gently rounded top of head. Slightly large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Short wide wedge, blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, yellow in colour. Rounded brow. Good nose break, firm chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, just balances. Coat is short and close lying, good texture and shine, even slate blue with good silvering on the extremities. Grumbling away, but was easy to handle. Well presented.

2 BOYLE’S PR TYPHA KUNGFU 27a MN (30.8.6)

gently rounded top of head. Ears are large and held rather high, prefer more width in between. Short wide wedge and blunt muzzle. Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. Rounded brow. Fair nose break. Nose slightly long in profile and rolls off at tip. Firm chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Pip at end. Coat is long but is of good texture and shine. Dark even blue. Sweetie. Well presented.

Weighty muscular lass. Dainty legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, balances. Coat is slightly long but lies well. Even slate blue with good silvering on the extremities. A poppet. Well presented.

Expressive eyes are set well apart, good shape and size, yellow in colour (when he decides to open them fully!!) flat brow. Fair nose break. Nose rolls off at very tip. Firm chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, balances. Coat short and close lying. Very dark, hot cream with good powdering on his head and ears. Hissy chap, but easy to handle. Well presented.

Long muscular svelte body of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail is long and tapering, balances. Coat is slightly long but lies well. Good texture and shine. Sound to the roots. Dark frosty grey with good pinkish tone. Sweetie. Well presented.

Slender legs and oval paws. Tail is long and tapering, balances. Coat is short and close lying, good texture and shine. Super “Persil” white and sound to the roots. Sweet natured chap. Well presented.

Svelte body of good weight. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail is long and tapering, balances. His coat is short and close lying though is a little coarse in texture over his lower back. Intense apricot, darker dusting and good metallic sheen, sound to the roots. Tabby markings evident. Super natured lad, with the most adorable temperament! Well presented.

Coat is fine and silky but is still a little short, and needs time to develop. Pretty “M” on forehead and ringed legs and tail. Spots on her body. Nice rich red and sound to the roots.
