"Following on from the success of the the Birman Cat Club's proposal to GCCF Council to extend the Olympian Certificates to Household Pets, it has been agreed by the Birman CC Committee to acknowledge the Pet Birmans and Non Birman Pet cats owned by our members, by creating a Show News section in the Birman Magazine and also on the club website for news of achievements in the Pet classes at shows.  

There will also be trophies on offer for members' pet cats in the same way as the pedigree cats.
