Cat Planet understands there is some confusion and upset in the Ragdoll section regarding the new testing process introduced in June's GCCF Council Meeting.

We would like to hear from you if you are a Ragdoll Breeder and how these changes will effect you, how you heard about the changes and what it means to your breeding plans in terms... of finance and registration.

The new registration policy in my opinion is not very well thought out. It is making registering ragdolls on the active very difficult. The rule that all ragdolls on the active have to be tested three times is not logical and is very costly. I have not heard a valid logical reason for testing and retesting two generations. I would like this to be changed to one generation of ragdolls tested by a vet. The new import legislation is again ill thought out and has no clear guidelines for how it will be implemented. As a ragdoll breeder in these difficult times, these new rulings have come as a shock and are creating much confusion.
