NORK SKOGATT SOCIETY CAT CLUB SHOW - 31 JULY 2010 JUDGES REPORT - MRS CELIA DE MARTINO

Many thanks to Carol and the committee for their kind invitation to judge here. I had a lovely day accompanied by Carole Pearson my most able steward. We both enjoyed the lunch at Carol’s. You all worked very hard and it was much appreciated.

TABBY NORWEGIAN KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB ROSS’ NORSKWOOD ROLY POLY

A vocal brown spotted tabby lad just over four months old with lovely spots showing on a warm brown background. Coat well prepared and of good length and texture , silky with guard hairs and woolly undercoat coming. Knickerbockers to back legs. Well placed furnished and tufted ears, lovely triangular shaped head, oval pale orange eyes , obliquely set with an alert expression. Straight nose with rounded forehead, good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular body, sturdy legs with rounded paws, hind legs higher than front. Long tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 TIPPER’S TIGANLEA SIR MORPHEUS.

A blue silver tabby lad coming up for four months with long soft silky kitten coat and full silver ruff. Blue tabby markings on silver background. Good width between well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, oval hazel eyes obliquely set with an alert expression., good bite and firm chin. Good triangular head shape. Strong muscular body with sturdy legs, the hind legs higher than the front and the hind legs having knickerbockers. Would prefer slightly longer tail to balance. Excellent temperament and condition.

3 TUCKER’S ELVENWEYR JETHRO

Well grown well prepared red tabby lad just 3 months old with rich red tabby markings on paler red background. Soft silky top coat with woolly undercoat. Triangular shaped head with straight nose in profile and rounded forehead, well placed furnished and tufted ears which could be larger. Prefer eyes to be better set and larger. Leaning to more round than oval. Good bite and needs more chin. Strong muscular body, sturdy legs, the hind legs being longer than the front. Back legs showing knickerbockers. Excellent temperament and condition.

ACO NORWEGIAN KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB HUGHES’ NORMAGIKATT SYLVESTER

A black smoke and whit lad coming up for 4 months old. Well grown for age. Well prepared silky black top kitten coat showing good woolly undercoat. Lovely contrasts, black on sparkling white. Triangular shaped head with well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, good wide bite and firm chin. Oval eyes, obliquely set, lovely alert expression. Strong weighty muscular body, sturdy legs, back legs higher than front, knickerbockers to hind legs. Long tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 SPOONER’S TIGANLEA MAYORLEVI

A blue and white lad with good triangular head, well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, green oval eyes well placed and obliquely set, prefer slightly larger, alert expression. Good bite and firm chin. Muscular body with sturdy legs, back legs higher than front, long tail. Well prepared coat of mid blue, soft silky top coat with guard hairs, woolly undercoat there. White to nose whisker pads and chest. White to paws not sparkling. Excellent temperament and condition.

3 ROWBERRY’S ROWGARNOR PUGGLE

A black smoke lad just over 3 months old small for age and needs more preparation. Silvery white undercoat evident, kitten coat soft and silky, guard hairs showing and quite good texture. Triangular head with straight noise, oval hazel eyes oblique in set but need to be larger, good bite and firm chin. Body seems too dainty and feminine for a boy. Body needs to develop. Prefer longer tail to balance, sturdy legs, hind legs higher than front. Showing knickerbockers. Excellent temperament and condition.

AOC NORWEGIAN KITTEN FEMALE

1 TUCKER’S ELVENWEYR ZIVA

A tortoiseshell babe just over 3 months old . Good triangular shaped head showing good width between well placed large furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, good bite and firm chin. Well placed oval eyes, muddy today colour changing, obliquely set, alert expression. Strong muscular body with sturdy legs, hind legs higher than front, knickerbockers to back legs, lovely long tail. Well prepared soft silky kitten coat showing excellent distribution of black and shades of red. Good undercoat, top coat showing guard hairs. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 SPOONER’S TIGANLEA DUCHESS JOCELYN

A blue and white girl just over 5 months old. Good triangular shaped head with good width between well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, well placed green oval eyes, obliquely set, alert expression., good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular body, well grown for age, Sturdy legs, back legs higher than front showing knickerbockers, long tail. Well prepared coat of good length and texture, some woolly undercoat. White to nose, cheeks, chest, legs and tummy. Excellent temperament and condition.

1 CH NORMYSTIC LORD BURR

A brown tabby lad with large triangular head. Well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, well placed oval eyes, obliquely set, good bite and firm chin. Large weighty muscular body, sturdy legs and long tail. Well prepared coat of good length and texture, excellent black tabby markings on warm brown background.

2 GRANT’S NOYNAROCK SARYMANA

blue silver tabby and white lad with well prepared soft silky summer coat showing some woolly undercoat. Tabby markings visible, white to nose, lower cheeks chest and legs. Good triangular shaped head with well placed large furnished and tufted ears, green oval eyes obliquely set with and alert expression.. Straight nose with rounded forehead, good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular body, sturdy legs, the back legs higher than the front showing knickerbockers, lovely long tail.

A blue silver tabby with triangular shaped head, well placed large furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, well placed deep green oval eyes, obliquely set, good bite and firm chin. Large weighty muscular body, strong legs, back legs higher than front and having knickerbockers, long full tail. Well prepared coat, soft and silky with woolly undercoat. Excellent blue tabby markings on beige background.

tortie silver tabby and white. Well grown well prepared girl having soft silky summer coat with some woolly undercoat. Excellent distribution of black an shades of red with silver coming through. White to nose, whisker pads, chest and legs. Triangular shaped head with well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, well placed green oval eyes, obliquely set, good bite and firm chin. Strong weighty muscular body with sturdy legs, back legs higher than the front and having knickerbockers, lovely long tail.

Large weighty muscular body, study legs, the back legs being higher than the front, knickerbockers to hind legs, long full tail. Coat dark blue with white to nose whisker pads chest and paws.

A huge silver tabby and white lad with well prepared soft silky dense coat showing excellent woolly undercoat. Coat of good length and texture showing black tabby markings on silver background.. Triangular head with well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, well placed oval eyes, obliquely set, alert expression. good bite and firm chin. Large muscular body, strong legs the back legs being higher than the front, and long tail.

a lovely orange eyed white cat, with well prepared sparkling white coat of good length and texture. Soft silky coat with woolly summer undercoat. Triangular head with well placed furnished and tufted ears, straight nose with rounded forehead, well placed oval pale orange eyes, obliquely set, good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular frame with sturdy legs , back legs higher than front and long tail.
