NORTHERN IRELAND CAT CLUB SHOW – 6.3.10 MRS SALLY TOKENS

I would like to thank Pat Hartin and the team for asking me over to Ballyclare. My thanks to Dennis Abbott for collecting me from the airport. The hospitality was excellent and thank you for an enjoyable stay. My steward was Sam who worked hard and handled the cats with great care and expertise.

AC NON SELF PERSIAN CHAMPION MALE;

GR CC; Malcolmson CH HADFIELDS TEXAS HOLDUM

brown tabby exotic lad of nearly two years old with excellent bone and very good weight. Small ears which are well placed. Well rounded skull. Cheeks of a good width and large open eyes of a nice copper colour. Level bite. Coat very full and soft in texture. Of a good length and standing away from the body. Strong black markings to form the tabby pattern with spots to his sides. Strong m and lines from the corner of the eyes across the cheeks. Short tail well covered with a number of rings. Excellent temperament and a pleasure to handle.

RES GR CC; Craig & Bell CH SHEERBLISS DREAM CATCHER

silver tabby and white exotic of seventeen months old. Another strong lad with very good bone and plenty of substance. Ears small in size and well set just a touch open at the base. Skull nicely formed. Cheeks well rounded. Short broad nose with a good stop. Large eyes of a very good deep copper colour. Level bite. Coat with a small amount of undercoat and soft texture. Well prepared. Just lost out to the winner today as his coat was not quite as full as the brown tabby lad. White to the paws, chest, tummy and on the muzzle. Very good tabby markings showing the mackerel pattern. Strong facial markings on a good silver agouti ground colour. Good tail.

GR CC; McKeague CH SHEERBLISS DREAM COMETRUE

black tortie and white female with very good well balanced type. Tiny well positioned ears and good width to full cheeks. Bold eyes of a very good copper colour. Short broad nose with a lovely stop. Level bite. Skull well rounded. Coat long and with a small amount of undercoat, soft in texture and the white areas clean and well prepared. Patches of rich red and jet black all well defined. Two red patches and one black patch to the back. Patched tail and both colours to the head. Short full brush.

RES GR CC; Craig & Bell CH KATYKAYE SPECIAL REQUEST

blue tortie tabby and white exotic female of nearly two years old. Short compact lass with very good bone and lovely weight. Ears just a touch open at the base but well set. Short nose with a good stop and large leather and nostrils. Level bite. Skull well rounded. Cheeks full and round. Coat of blue and cream to the back which were pale in colour and sound and even to the roots. Coat fairly full and of a good length, standing away from the body. Nicely covered tail which balances with the body. Another very nice female.

red silver tabby and white lad approaching two years old. Strong bone and excellent weight. Short cobby body set low on the legs. Small ears which are well placed. Skull well formed. Short broad nose with a good break. Level bite. Eyes large and round and showing a good depth of copper colouring. Coat standing away from the body and soft in texture. Very good length and soft to touch. A little solid along the spine. Silver evident. Oyster markings to the flanks and a butterfly can just about be seen to the shoulders. Lightly marked m to the forehead. Short tail well covered. White to the chest, legs and tummy and a small white chevron to the face.

brown classic tabby maine coon of just over two years old. Very good bone and adequate weight. A little nervous. Large ears which are set quite high with a good width apart. Cheeks I would have liked a little fuller but with high set cheek bones. Eyes with a slightly oblique aperture and set and green in colour. Square muzzle can be felt. Chin just lacking a little in breadth and depth. Slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Coat lacking in the depth of undercoat and of a fairly warm copper agouti ground colour with nice black markings. Small ruff to frame the face. Butterfly and oyster markings present. Tail lightly furnished and reaching the shoulders.

GR PC Callen & Russell INT PR ISHCUS RED DEVIL

red tabby maine coon lad of four years old and very well developed. Rectangular body shape and very good bone and lovely weight. A huge lad. Well positioned large ears with small tufts. Cheeks fairly full with high set cheek bones. Eyes light gold in colour with a slightly oblique aperture and set. Medium length nose with a slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Level bite. Square muzzle. Very good breadth and depth to the chin. Coat long and quite full with some undercoat present. Soft top coat and very good rich red markings on a good red ground colour. Butterfly to the shoulders and oysters on the flanks. Tail with profuse and flowing fur and reaching the shoulders with some tabby rings.

Bunce GR PR KEVERSTONE CHICORY Blue tabby and white maine coon girl of three years old. A strapping lass with excellent strong bone and very good substance. Large ears which are set quite high with a good width apart and small tufts. Cheeks quite full and high set cheek bones. Eyes of a slightly oblique aperture and set and green in colour. Slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Level bite. Square muzzle and a nice breadth and depth to the chin. Coat very full with a dense undercoat and fairly soft texture to the top coat. Tail with profuse and flowing fur and balancing with the body. White to the paws, chest and tummy. Some tabby markings evident but a few of them are diffused by the shear length of the coat. Small ruff to frame the face.

cream and white lad not yet two years old. I was sorry to have to withhold this certificate as this was a beautiful lad with excellent type and coat but unfortunately he only has one testicle. Dinky ears which are well placed. Cheeks full and round. Skull nicely formed. Large round eyes of a very good copper. Short broad nose with a good break and lovely size leather and nostrils. Level bite. Colour above the eyes and up to the ears. Patch of colour to the back and small patch adjacent to the nose. Gleaming white and pale cream patches. Fully coloured tail. Very well presented.

Tortie silver tabby and white, not yet a year old and a strong well developed girl with very good bone and plenty of substance. Ears well set just a little open at the base. Skull well formed. Cheeks full and round. Eyes large and open and showing a very good copper. Level bite. Short broad nose with a nice break. Coat fairly full with a small amount of undercoat. Soft to touch and standing away from the body. Very good red and black areas to form the tortie pattern. Some silver can be seen. White on the muzzle and on the paws, chest and tummy. Fully coloured tail which balances with the body.

red tabby colourpoint lad approaching a year old. A strong lad with excellent bone and good substance, just standing a little tall on his legs. Ears well positioned and a touch open at the base. Skull a little bumpy at present. Cheeks full and round. Short broad nose. Level bite. Round eyes of a medium blue colouring. Coat having a small amount of undercoat and fairly soft texture. Very good length and standing away from the body. Clear body coat. Well prepared. M present to the forehead and a few feint tabby markings to the legs. Tail well covered and balances with the body.

blue cream tabby colourpoint. Not yet a year old. A compact female displaying good bone and nice weight. Ears just a little open and set fairly low on the side of the head. Skull well rounded. Cheeks quite full. Short broad nose. Level bite. Eyes of a good shape and nice blue colouring although she is reluctant to show them off fully. Clear body coat which was soft in texture and nicely prepared. Standing away from the body with just a small amount of undercoat. Blue and cream to all the points. Tabby markings to the legs and a good m to the face with lines running across the cheeks from the corner of the eyes. Tail with a number of rings and well furnished.

AC BI COLOUR RAGDOLL ADULT;

1 CC & BOB Gibbons LADYDOLL BOADICEA

blue bi colour girl coming up to twenty months old. Very good bone and sleek body but with nice substance. Symmetrically marked inverted v to the face. White patch to the nape of the neck. White to the legs. Coat lacking in undercoat today but soft in texture. Probably going through a change of coats at the moment. Medium size ears which slightly tilt forward. Cheeks full and a good muzzle. Flat plane to the top of the head. Level bite. Gentle dip in profile to the nose. Very good temperament and a pleasure to handle. Tail lightly covered and balances with the body.

red silver classic tabby. Just over a year old and showing very good bone and lovely weight. Rectangular body shape. Large ears set quite high with a good width apart and long tufts. Cheeks having high set cheek bones but I would have liked them a little fuller. Very shallow concave curve at the nasal bridge. Square muzzle. Chin could have done with a little more breadth and depth for balance. Eyes of a slightly oblique aperture and set and light gold in colour. Soft top coat with very limited under coat at this time of year. Lovely red tabby markings. Some silver to the ruff and around the ears. Lightly furnished tail which reaches the shoulders.

1 PC McDowell STORMING WHATACRACKER

red classic tabby. Just over a year old with very good bone but I would prefer a little more weight as you can feel his spine at present. Cheeks fairly full with high set cheek bones. Large ears which are well positioned. Eyes a little deep set and light gold in colour with a slightly oblique aperture and set. Slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Square muzzle present. In need of a little more breadth and depth to the chin. Level bite. Spine line along the back. Oysters a little diffused and the butterfly can just about be seen to the shoulders. Very deep red markings on a good red ground colour. Small ruff starting to frame the face. Tail very lightly furnished and just reaches the shoulders with the odd ring visible.

Tortie classic tabby. Nineteen months old and a strong very well developed female with excellent bone and substance. Rectangular body shape. Large ears set quite high with a good width apart and bearing small tufts. Cheeks fairly full and high set cheek bones. Medium length nose with a slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Level bite. Square muzzle. Good depth to the chin just needing a little more breadth for perfection. Very good coat colours of red and black with tabby markings evident. Butterfly can be seen and good facial markings. Some undercoat and a soft top coat which was well prepared. Tail with profuse and flowing fur and in proportion to the body length.

tortie classic tabby maine coon girl approaching two years old. Vibrant colours of the richest red and very good black to form the tortie pattern. Ruff starting to frame the face. Very good type and balance to the head.

2 Miskelly GLENDAVAN MISS-DEFY

seal tabby colourpoint rag doll of a year old. Very well grown with excellent bone and weight. Well set ears and a flat plane. Good profile just at tiny bit pinched in the muzzle. Medium eye colour and a soft texture to the coat which had a small amount of undercoat.

tortie tabby mitted ragdoll not yet a year old. Very good bone and weight. Lovely eye colour to slightly oblique eyes. Level bite. Medium length nose with a gentle dip in profile. Coat soft in texture and very clear and full. Tabby markings evident.

seal lad of eighteen months old. Very good bone and weight. Unfortunately today he has some knots between his back legs. Very good seal points and a fairly clear body coat soft in texture with a limited amount of undercoat.

black smoke exotic of five months old. A super lass with a short cobby body set low on the legs. Wonderful coat length and texture, standing away from the body. Super contrasts visible. Promising baby.

2 Nerretti & Gibbons POPPYLOVE SCORPION KING

blue bi colour ragdoll and a wee baby of four months old. Wonderful type developing with the ears slightly tilting forward a flat plane and gentle dip in profile. Medium blue eye colouring and wonderful silken texture to the coat with the undercoat yet to come through.

red birman of nearly fifteen years old and looking in tip top condition for his age. Almost a clear body coat which was soft and full. Eyes almost round and of a good blue considering his age. All feet well matched.

red lad approaching five years old. Another very solid lad. Coat almost clear just lacking in the depth of undercoat today. Very good cheeks and a full muzzle. Just showing the odd tabby marking to the head today. Lovely blue colouring to the eyes. Nice profile and a level bite.
