NORTHERN COUNTIES CAT CLUB SHOW – 10.9.11

Mrs Sally Tokens

I would like to thank Anne, Sheila and the hard working committee for asking me to judge at their show. I had a super day and thank you for the hospitality and also ferrying me to and from the station. My steward was Neil Porter whom I have worked with before and he does a sterling job, thanks again Neil for all your help on a busy day.

AC PERSIAN IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER;

IMP GR PC; Higgins GR CH & GR PR HEATHROSE BARNEY RUBBLE

black lad of just over two years old. I can not believe how much this boy has come on since he was neutered. Excellent bone and very good weight. Small ears which are well placed. Cheeks full and round. Large eyes showing a very good copper. Short broad nose and a good stop. Level bite. Coat very long and full with a wonderful undercoat. Soft to touch and groomed beautifully with the fur full and flowing. Ruff to frame the face. Just a few areas around the ruff and bib with a minimal amount of shading, otherwise a good black which was sound to the roots.

RES IMP GR PC; Lees CH & GR PR SHEERBLISS OHSO THEO

cream and white exotic lad of nearly four and a half years old. Short cobby body set low on the legs. Ears small in size and well set just touch open at the base. Skull nicely formed. Large round eyes of a very good copper colour. Short broad nose. Level bite. Lovely width to nice full cheeks. Coat with a soft texture and standing away from the body. Showing a good length to the coat. Just a little more undercoat to finish off. Some ghost ring markings to the tail. White to the paws, chest and tummy with some white on the upper lips.

AV SLHY IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION MALE;

IMP GR CC; Horsley GR CH SUPATOFT TALISKER

usual Somali of eighteen months old. Very expressive eyes and lovely head type. Moderate wedge with gently curving contours. Muzzle producing a smile. Slight nose break to the profile. Level bite. Ears well set and large in size with small tufts. Amber colouring to the eyes which were almond in shape. Firm body with long legs and oval paws. Tail of a very good length and nicely furnished. Soft texture to the coat which was lying flat along the spine. Small ruff to frame the face. Very good black ticking to the coat which was stronger along the spine and on the tail. Warm apricot undercoat. Lovely temperament and very laid back.

RES WH 2 Metcalfe GR CH NORGESKAUKATT ARNOR

brown tabby Norwegian Forest cat of just over three years old. Strapping lad with a very good length of body and really quite a heavy weight. Tail long and reaching to the shoulders. Good triangular head shape which looks a little short in length but it is equilateral. Medium size ears which are set well but he tends to hold them down, small tufts. Oval shaped eyes of a green colour. Level bite. Reasonable chin. Full coat which has a coarse texture and good depth of undercoat. Although the coat was full it was not looking in tip top condition today.

AV SLH IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE;

IMP GR CC; Grant GR CH NOYNAROCK ANYA

blue tabby and white Norwegian Forest of just over three years old and a very well developed female with strong bone and lovely length to the body. Standing taller on the back legs. Large ears which are well set with no tufts today, fitting nicely into the shape of the head. Large well opened eyes of a green colour. Long straight profile. Level bite. Firm chin. Very good head balance. Showing very good tabby markings to the sides and well groomed. Coarse coat texture to the rear end. Just a touch soft on the spine today. White paws, chest and tummy and some white on the muzzle.

AV SLH IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER FEMALE;

IMP WITHHELD 1 Lindsay UK GR PR STARPAWS ELISE MCKENNA

I was sorry to have to withhold, but unfortunately she was very poorly groomed underneath and this was the reason I did not award the certificate. Large ears well placed with tufts. Cheeks fairly full with high set cheek bones. Eyes with a slightly oblique aperture and set and light gold in colour. Slight concave curve at the nasal bridge. Square muzzle. Nice depth to the chin a little more breadth for balance. Excellent coat colours and soft top coat with a nice depth of undercoat. Tail with profuse and flowing fur and reaching the shoulder blades.

2 Hack GR PR ADSETSH BARWICK BLUE

Unfortunately this girl has an undershot bite and this was the reason for her placing and no certificate. Long legs with tufted oval shaped paws. Tail long and very well furnished. Super black ticking and a very good white undercoat. Black colouring to the heels.

Ears I would have preferred a touch larger in size with small tufts. Oval shaped eyes which were of a green colour. Straight profile of a fairly good length. Level bite. Nicely balanced head. Coat of a very good length and some coarse areas can be felt. Lovely black to the back and the contrasts can be seen. Shirt front and small knickerbockers.

Nice triangular head shape with ears of a medium size and bearing small tufts. Well shaped eyes and green in colour. Long straight profile although she does tend to puff her whisker pads which spoils her balance. Level bite. Reasonable chin. RED CREAM TORTIE BIRMAN NEUTER;

BOB withheld Brown GR CH & IGR PR DALTEEMA DIAMOND DAN
