NORTHEN COUNTIES CAT CLUB - 13 SEPTEMBER – BRENDA PEARCE
I would like to thank Mavis and the Committee for the invitation to judge, and the usual warm welcome to the show. My sincere thanks also to my steward Jenny Bauerfeind, who handles the cats to perfection and is always great company – thank you Jenny. It was a great disappointment that all my boys entered in the Imperial Neuter Class were absent, but that’s life I suppose!!

1 Lumsden’s KYOMI GALAHAD. (37n) 6.12.06. Caramel. Very good type - a most handsome and stylish youngster – needing to complete his jump from kitten to full maturity, but at only 9 months of age I felt that his growth, and development were well in line with his age. Very good strength to his head with good length to width ratio. Ears large and well set when relaxed, just the odd tendency to top them a little, but he is at the age where interest and awareness all around him takes over! Very good profile, chin lines up and has good depth, his bite level. Nicely expressive mid green eyes of very good oriental shape and setting. Long well muscled body with elegant neckline. Stands proudly on long slender legs with neat oval paws. His tail long and fine, of good length to balance. Impressively sound caramel coat, displaying correct brownish cast, of excellent texture, beautifully prepared, close lying and sleek. A lovely boy to handle – excellent presentation.
2 Dixon’s BILLSTES FANTASTIC MR FOX. (37k) 9.7.07. Cinnamon. I loved this boy’s size and strength. Very masculine, of good overall type, he shows excellent growth and development. Very strong broad wedge head, very well balanced by large ears, open based and well set. Very good strength to profile, good chin, his bite marginally over but not unacceptably so. Good oriental shape and setting to pale green eyes – gently expressive. Well balanced with a long hard and muscular body, and powerful neckline. Long strong legs and a long tapered tail showing rings. He stands and shows himself very well. Pale cinnamon coat which was a touch long but of good texture and well prepared. Unfortunately at the moment it is very unsound with quite a lot of ghost pattern in evidence. Beautifully presented - although very much a mature and aware male, his manners were exemplary.

1 Bauerfeind’s TOGHAR TRUFFLES. (29) 16.7.07. Havana. Dainty young queen – very good type - very stylish and elegant. Long wedge head with good width between her large wide based and well flared ears. Profile not completely straight with a small dip, and tiny bump on her nose. Chin firm and lines up, her bite level. Clear bright green eyes – good oriental shape and setting – nicely expressive. Long slender body, firm and well toned, elegant neckline, long slim legs and good whip tail. Rich warm chestnut brown coat of good texture, almost completely sound throughout - it was a little long, especially along her spine line, but she didn’t help matters by fluffing up like a porcupine with excitement!! Very affectionate temperament – excellent presentation.
AC Oriental Debutante Kitten.
1 Gibbon’s SAITAN SULIANINSHADES. (42b) M 28.4.08. Chocolate Smoke. I really liked his short, strong and heavy little wedge head – very well balanced and with large wide at the base ears set to follow in line. Very good straight profile, chin has depth but just ebbs a touch, the bite level. Well shaped and set mid green eyes – tending to hold a touch full on handling – very good when relaxed. Very well muscled body, length and strength developing well. Legs and tail in balance. Well prepared chocolate smoke coat which was short and close, showing a near white undercoat and warm chocolate topcoat – the smoke effect already very good with the degree of contrast on his head and face evenly matched with his body. Promising little lad beautifully presented.
2 Simpson’s WESTGARTH STORMCAT. (37fn) M 8.5.08. Apricot. A very elegant and well grown kitten – long, leggy and very stylish overall. Long wedge head just needs a touch more width to better balance the length. Ears large wide based and well set, but I would personally prefer more flare. Very good profile, chin has good depth, the bite level. Olive eyes of good oriental shape and setting – occasionally squinting at me. Long body, very firm and well toned with well defined elegant neckline, long slender legs and a long whip tail. Excellent warm sandy apricot coat showing some acceptable tabby markings – of lovely texture, sound and close lying. Beautifully presented – two lovely kittens.

1 Rice’s SEIDOO SULTRESS OF SWING. (37) 13.4.08. Black. Promising baby of very good type - very elegant and stylish. Strong well balanced wedge head, her ears large, wide at the base and very well set. Very good straight profile, chin has good depth and lines up – her bite level. Mid green eyes of very good oriental shape and setting – lovely expression - has the odd tendency to turn her right eye in but I decided that it could be forgiven in a kitten of teething age. Very long slinky body and neckline – lovely firm feel to her. Long slim legs with tiny feet – her tail a fine balancing whip. Short sound coat of excellent texture – jet black and gleaming. Beautifully prepared and presented.

1 Bauerfeind’s CH SHIMILEETA ALWAYSONMYMIND. (32/1) 6.8.05. Seal Tabby Point. Lovely type to this queen, of very good size and substance, very relaxed and showing well. Excellent evenly balanced long wedge head - correct width to length ratio – her ears large, wide at the base and beautifully set. Good strong profile, just a small rise at the bridge. Chin lines up, her bite level. Eyes dark and expressive, of excellent oriental shape and setting. Body long and firm, beautifully toned, her neckline graceful and elegant. Legs long and slender, dainty feet, her tail fine and whippy – could just do with perhaps ˝ inch more for perfection. Warm seal tabby markings overall well defined. Finely traced M, single cheek ribbons and pin prick whisker spots on her mask. Brushed wide thumb prints. Leg bars and arm bands paler. Tail rings show some agouti invasion but no more than I would expect considering she is obviously ticked based. Body warm in tone showing very good contrast - just a little ticked shading in evidence. Lovely coat which was short, close fitting and very well prepared. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
2 Harvey’s CH ADVIAM PINUP POPPY. (32/1) 19.11.05. Seal Tabby Point. Another girl of lovely type, extremely well balanced, there was little to choose between them making for a very close decision. Lovely head, shows excellent strength and very good balance with correct width to length. Large ears, widely flared at the base, of very good set, just occasionally holds them a touch low but correct when alerted. Very good profile, just a small rise over the bridge, chin ebbs slightly, her bite level. Dark eyes – very expressive – very good shape and set. Good length well muscled body, elegant neckline, slim legs, dainty feet, whip tail in balance. Dark seal tabby markings very well defined. Firm thumb prints. Clear M, double cheek ribbons and dark whisker spots to her mask. Multiple leg bars and spots. Very good tail rings. Body shows quite a few spots and bars which, given the definition of her markings, is inevitable - however the contrast between body and points still good. Lovely texture to her coat which was short, sleek and very well prepared. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
3 Bauerfeind’s PALMIRA SIENNA. (24) 16.1.07. Seal Point. A big strong girl of good type and well balanced overall. Head long and shows good strength, the width almost balances, she does however have quite a pinch to her muzzle which I would prefer not to see, but in any case was rather accentuated by the petulant mood she had got herself into. Excellent set to her large and wide based ears. Good profile, almost straight. Chin lines up and has good depth – there were some untidy teeth but her bite looked to be level. Well shaped and set eyes, very expressive, could be a shade more intense for perfection. Long bodied with a very substantial feel to her, long strong legs, tapered tail in balance. Points very dense and dark in tone, well matched on her ears, mask and tail – stockings a little paler. Warmly shaded fawn body, her contrast very good. Close lying coat which felt a touch dry in texture. Excellent presentation.

1 Evans’s GR CH ABICASA THEGYPSYBARON. (24n) 6.9.02. Caramel Point Siamese. Lovely type - a strong and handsome boy, no doubting his strength and masculinity – his temperament absolutely wonderful. Excellent head with correct width to length ratio, his ears large, wide based and beautifully set. Very good strong profile, good chin and bite. Very good oriental shape and set to his eyes – lovely gentle expression – colour could be a shade more intense. Long body, very hard and muscular, strong masculine neckline, stands tall and proud on long strong legs - carries and shows himself beautifully. Good whip tail, perhaps needs ˝ inch more in length for perfect balance. Points well matched, of lilac based caramel showing correct brownish overtones. Off white body, lightly shaded over his back in tone with his points - his contrast excellent. Lovely texture to his coat – short and close lying. A delightful boy beautifully prepared and presented.

2 Holdsworth’s TEGATCO BILLSTES BELLONA. (32b9) F 29.10.06. Fawn Tortie Point Siamese. Very good type to this big strong queen – a rare sight, most attractive. Long wedge, very good strength with good width for balance. Ears large, wide based and well set. Very good straight profile, good firm chin, her bite level. Lovely eyes, well shaped and set, good colour and expression. Long strong body, very firm and well toned. Stands beautifully, her legs long and slender, her tail a balancing whip. Her colouring very delicate, of beautiful warm fawn with subtle mingling in shades of cream. Off white un-shaded body. Superb short coat, very smooth and beautifully prepared. Excellent presentation, but what attitude!!.
3 Bauerfeind’s SHIMILEETA BULSARA. (32/1) 20.7.06. Seal Tabby Point Siamese.
AC Siamese/Balinese Novice Kitten Male.
1 Moakes’s ADATEAM MOKIMO. (32fn) 16.5.08. Apricot Point Siamese. Excellent type, a very stylish and elegant little lad, well grown for his age. Very good long strong wedge head with correct width to balance. His ears large, wide based, well set and flared. Baby profile still with a small dip and bump to straighten out. Chin firm and lines up, his bite level. Dark blue eyes of excellent oriental shape and setting. Very good length of body, well muscled, with elegant neckline, long slim legs and a long fine whip tail. Soft, warm apricot points developing well – his body un-shaded. Still wears his kitten coat at present which was a little fluffy and open today. Very promising – excellent presentation.
2 Harvey’s ENIGMATIC SHOUTITOUT. (32/3) 7.3.08. Chocolate Tabby Point Siamese. Very well grown and sturdy, of good overall type – aptly named, he was full of character and had plenty of chat. Good length wedge head, needs a touch more width to balance the length – his ears large and well set but inclined to tip then forward when alert. Very good straight profile, good chin and bite. Mid blue eyes, a little straight set, quite good shape. Body firm and well muscled, very well developed for his age, with long strong legs and a long tapered tail. Tabby markings overall well defined in mid chocolate. M and single cheek ribbons to his mask, his ears rather patchy at the moment as opposed to having a clear thumb print. Very pale shadowy leg bars. Good tail rings. Body un-shaded, warm in tone – his coat of excellent texture, beautifully prepared, sleek, short and close lying. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
AC Siamese/Balinese Novice Kitten Female.
1 Simpson’s MAFDET HONEYBEE. (24) 11.5.08. Seal Point Siamese. Exquisite baby for type – hope her colouring warms up a little bit more. Short strong wedge head with large wide based and beautifully set ears. Very good strong profile, chin of good depth – lines up, her bite level. Dark blue and expressive eyes of excellent oriental shape and setting. Long and elegant, her body firm and well muscled. Long slim legs with dainty feet. Long fine whip tail. Points dark and dense, just a touch cold in tone at the moment. Body un-shaded, needs a little more warmth to it. Coat well prepared and close lying – very good texture. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
2 Punton’s MAZPAHS HOT CHOCOLATE. (24b) 5.3.08. Chocolate Point Siamese. Well grown and elegant in stature, but her head type rather too long and narrow at the moment. Long wedge head requiring more width to balance the length. Her ears of good size but held high. Very good profile. Chin shallow and ebbs somewhat. Her bite marginally over. Bright blue eyes – good oriental shape and set – held a touch full on handling, correct when relaxed. Long well muscled body with graceful neckline, long slim legs and a long fine whip tail. Slightly dark chocolate points showing a fair degree of warmth and well matched on her ears, mask and tail. The mask however, incomplete at present with paleness under her eyes and around her chin and whisker pads. Warm ivory body, free of shading – her coat well prepared, close lying and of good texture. Very well presented – however she found numerous things to grumble to us about.
AC Siamese/Balinese Debutante Neuter.
1 Webster’s CH NANPEMA SEALOF APPROVAL. (24) FN 2.11.05. Seal Point Siamese. Very attractive girl, of very good type. Her head strong and even with large wide based ears set well apart. Good strength to profile, almost straight with a firm chin and level bite. Lovely eyes – dark and expressive – very good oriental shape and setting. Firm body, of ample proportions which loses her some of her length and elegance. Slim legs with dainty feet. Good whip tail. Points very dark, dense and well matched. Her body shaded over her back – a touch cold in tone. Excellent texture to her short and well prepared coat. Gentle girl, beautifully presented.
