NORTHERN SIAMESE CAT SOCIETY

11th APRIL 2009

A really super show with a friendly atmosphere and some high quality exhibits managed with great expertise by Alice Fox. The entire Committee were full of an enthusiasm which was infectious. A special mention must be made of the superb lunch provided by Maureen & Derek Atkinson which included some lovely fish, fresh from the quay. Many thanks to Suzie & Clive Hall for the gift of red & white wine, a welcome & palatable addition to Easter Sunday dinner. Biggest surprise of the day was the expertise of my steward Barry Grey who, on his first outing in this capacity took to the job like a duck to water. Never under the feet, always at hand, handled the cats with consideration and was an entertaining and intelligent companion. Thank you, Barry I look forward to the next time.

AC SIAMESE/BALINE SE CHAMPION MALE GR.CH.ARMSTRONG’S CH.JOHPAS RED ROUE(32a) 19.10.07

A wonderful start to the day for me as I have been in love with this boy since I first saw him as a kitten. Beautifully balanced head with straight lines to muzzle and good width between large, flared ears. Excellent profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with the deepest blue colour. Clean neckline and long stylish body with slender legs and a tail which needs more length for perfection. Points a little on the pale side and his coat is a trifle long and open which could be due to the changing season. Overall this is a quality exhibit who can only improve as he matures.

LILAC POINT ADULT FEMALE:

A mature queen shown in excellent condition with very good lilac points colour. Good length wedge with large ears which she held slightly high. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Fine type overall with excellent body type, slender legs and long whip tail. Very good lilac points colour and a clear magnolia coat of quality.

RED POINT ADULT MALE:

RED POINT ADULT FEMALE:

Stylish young queen of good type. Balanced wedge with good top of head and large widespread ears. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with superior expression and sapphire blue colour. Well defined neckline and long, firm body of excellent type with slim legs, dainty feet and long whip tail. Bright red points and a clear warm white coat of excellent length and texture.

CHOCOLATE POINT NEUTER MALE:

Beautifully presented and in excellent show condition. Well grown boy with a long head , slight pinch to muzzle and good top of head and large ears. Slight dip on profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Elegant head carriage and a long muscular body with slim legs and a tail which could do with an extra inch for balance. Dark chocolate points colour and an ivory coat with minimal shading which was short, smooth and close lying.

CARAMEL POINT NEUTER MALE:

I see that this boy is litter brother to the chocolate boy (above) and has the same glowing condition and excellent presentation. Balanced wedge with good top of head and large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set, colour could be deeper for perfection. Good neckline and long, well muscled body with slender legs and long tail which was slightly thick at the root. Good points colour and some toning shading on the back of a coat of excellent length and texture.

32 SERIES SIAMESE BREEDER’S ADULT FEMALE:

1.PALMER’S STYPERSON TOP DRAWER(32/1) 1.7.08

What a stunner! I have seen this queen several times as a kitten and have watched the progress of her ears with interest. They are huge and placed somewhat low but as she matures she is looking more balanced. Discounting the ears she has an excellent profile, level bite and firm chin, superb oriental eye shape and set with the deepest blue colour. Excellent head carriage and slender neckline with a long firm body, slim legs and extra long, well ringed whip tail. All tabby markings well defined and a coat which fitted like a lycra leotard. Ultimately best exhibit in show.

NON BREEDER’S ADULT MALE:

1.UNDERHILL’S ADATEAM ANTAEUS(24) 10.5.08

Just eleven months old and a monument to good husbandry. Beautifully grown with an excellent top of head and large ears. Straight profile, pinch to muzzle, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper. Well defined neckline and long, powerful body with slim legs and long whip tail. Dark seal points and a short, close lying coat showing cream and beige contrast.

32 SERIES SIAMESE BREEDER’S KITTEN FEMALE:

1.MEEKINGS’ RANTIPOLE ENIGMA(32t8) 6.12.08

Young kitten of excellent type. Straight balanced wedge with excellent top of head and large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Fragile neckline and firm body with dainty legs, small oval feet and long whip tail showing rings. Faint tortie mottling to be found and a clear warm white coat which was short and close lying. Endearing personality

2.PAGE’S ASHJOLEX GEISHA GIRL(32t1) 19.10.08

Fine boned kitten of good type. Good top of head and large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes which tend to dominate the face at present with excellent deep blue colour. Firm body of good type with slim legs and long well ringed whip tail. Some mottling on the ears, M on brow, cheek ribbons and leg bars and bracelets. A short, close lying coat which was slightly shaded.

RADIUS KITTEN MALE/FEMALE:

1.KNOWLSON’S DRESTOTHRIL DIOR BY DESIGN(24) M 26.9.08

Full of beans and very excited. Good top of head and large flared ears. Profile slightly uneven at present, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper for a seal. Good head carriage and a long firm body of good type with slender legs and very long, fine whip tail. Dark seal points and an excellent close lying beige and cream coat.

VISITOR’S KITTEN MALE/FEMALE:

1.HOLDSWORTH’S BILLSTES THE BARON(32/10) M 10.11.08

Very stylish kitten of excellent type and somewhat uncertain points colour. Excellent top of head and large widespread ears. Excellent profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with sapphire blue colour. Elegant neckline and long svelte body with dainty legs and long whip tail. Warm white coat of excellent length and texture. Very promising.

2.HALL’S FURRYFACE BURLINGTON BERTIE(24) M 26.12.08

Young kitten of excellent colour and outstanding temperament. Straight wedge with good balancing width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape, slightly straight set with deep blue colour. Long body of good type with dainty legs and long whip tail. Lovely warm seal points and a cream coat of excellent length and texture.
