Many thanks to Beryl and Judy for the invitation to judge at the Notts and Derby Cat Club Show. Many thanks to Sue Barrett for stewarding for me and for the hospitality for the weekend, I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. AV FOREIGN GRAND CHAMPION ADULT MALE1 IGR CH BOND-WONNEBERGER’S GR CH FURBELL STARGAZER 16a M 3.3.08Smart looking nearly two year old boy. Fairly short wedge from the tip of the nose to the eyes which is equidistant from the eyes to ears. Flat appearance to top of head between the ears. Good prominent whisker pads making a broad muzzle. Blue nose leather. In profile straight forehead to upper eye level, shallow concave curve to line then nose straight to tip. Level bite but slightly shallow although level chin. Large, pointed ears, I would like them just a shade taller for perfection but wide at base and vertically set with the outer line following the outer contours of the face. Good size to eyes of vivid green colour, set wide apart, almond in shape giving an alert but gentle expression. Long, elegant, well muscled body of medium bone and very good weight. Long, proportionate legs to balance body and neat oval paws with blue pads. Long, gently tapering tail which balances the body. Fairly short, plushy double coat, with dense undercoat, fairly fine and soft in texture and mostly standing out well from the body. I would prefer it more plushy down the spine where it lies slightly flat. Russian Blue of medium blue, even surface colour with a light, silvery sheen, faint band to colour down hair shaft but blue to roots. Rings on tail. Lovely temperament. AV FOREIGN GRAND CHAMPION ADULT FEMALE1 IGR CH CROW & GOSS’S GR CH KAGURA SAPHIRA 68 43a F 7.10.05Very good size to this deceptively weighty four plus year old lady. Medium length body with proportionate length, well boned legs and medium sized, rounded paws. Tail is just a fraction short to balance body for perfection but with a full plume like effect to the fur. Well prepared, full coat is medium in length and of fine and silky texture, close lying along spine and flowing down the sides with a nice frill around the skirt. Blue Shaded Tiffanie of honey toned ground colour shading to medium blue surface colour. Facial markings with ‘M’ on face and pencil lines on cheeks. Faint tabby markings on limbs. Excellent ruff and breeches. Lovely head with front view of very good width to gently rounded top of head between well set and shaped medium sized ears, with excellent streamers from inside ears but no tufts at tips. In profile slight rounding to brow, very good nose break and fairly short, straight nose. Level bite and fair depth, level chin. Large, lustrous, pale green eyes set well apart and with a ‘typical’ expression. Sweet natured. AC BURMESE GRAND PREMIER MALE1 IGR PC BESWICK’S GR PR MAINMAN LEONARDO 27 MN 6.4.07Very good size and weight with good muscle tone to this nearly three year old boy. Good length to medium body with proportionate length, shapely legs and largish oval paws. Well shaped tail is a fraction short to balance body and feels thickened at tip. Lovely coat is fairly short and close lying and of excellent texture. Rich, deep brown in colour with a lovely sheen to it but just spoilt by a sprinkling of white hairs across the shoulders. Fairly short, blunt wedge. Good width to gently rounded top of head between well shaped ears of goodly size set well apart. In profile slight rounding to brow, good nose break and fairly short, straight nose. Untidy bite and fair depth chin. Good size and shape to darkish, chartreuse coloured eyes set well apart. Lovely temperament. 2 Reserve withheld CATTERICK’S GR PR NEMOREZ THEREDBARON 27d MN 4.11.03Excellent size and weight with good muscle tone to this mature six plus year old boy. Good length body with proportionate, shapely legs and largish oval paws. Well shaped tail a fraction short to balance body. Coat is fairly short and close lying and of excellent satin like texture. Well developed rich red in colour. Faint broken necklace. Good width to gently rounded top of head between well set and shaped ears of goodly size. Slight flattening to brow, good nose break, nose a bit long but straight. Untidy bite, receding gums and shallow chin. Pale chartreuse coloured eyes are set well apart but are unfortunately oval in shape. Nice natured boy shown in lovely condition so sorry to disappoint but he lost the special look with the eyes. AC BURMESE GRAND PREMIER FEMALE1 IGR PR WRIGGLESWORTH’S CH & GR PR ROSSIKHAN OBSESSION 27b FN 13.3.03Nearly seven year old lady of very good size and weight with a good firm feel to medium length body.
