JUDGE BETTY SHINGLETON

My thanks to Jackie Edwards, the Committee and Show Team for my invitation to judge, and the very kind hospitality.  The lunch was wonderful, made a big difference to my journey home – thank you.  To Terry White, many thanks for stepping in to steward for me at the last minute, your help was appreciated.

Triangular head with all sides equal, long straight profile , forehead slightly rounded , firm chin, large ears with good width at base, ear placement high and open set, lines of the ears following the line of the head down to the chin, eyes large and well opened with oval shape.  Body strong and god condition, strong legs and large round paws, I would like longer length to the tail.  Coat well presented, woolly undercoat covered by a slightly course guard hairs covering the back.  A nice natured boy.

AOV SLH CHAMPION FEMALE.

1ST. CERT W/H.  GARDNER’S CH. ADSETLO PALMAINE BANDANNA. 64/41w. 060407.

A very young girl still needing time to reach full maturity.  Overall head shape quite narrow, muzzle lacking the required square shape so special in the breed, chin could be stronger, cheeks fairly full with high cheek bones, nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Ears of very good size and set, eyes full and round spaced wide apart and slightly obliquely set.  Long body and balanced tail, fairly strong bone.  Coat well presented very good texture, good tabby coat pattern and sparkling white.  I was sorry to w/h the Grand Certificate on this young girl, today I felt she lacked the maturity I would like to see for this award.

AOV FOREIGN PREMIER MALE.

GRAND PREMIER CERT. PLAW’S GR.PR. RAINSONG STEVIE GERRARD. 72/45d. 280605.

Head showing short balanced wedge, with width at the cheek bones, tapering to a blunt muzzle and showing good width at the jaw-hinge, top of head gently rounded between the ears which are set well apart, the brow curves gently to the bridge of the nose with distinct nose break, firm chin with good depth and level bite.  Ears medium in size broad at the base with rounded tips, eyes large and set well apart with lovely expression.  Body quite plump, slender legs, tail a little short.  Very good coat texture and presentation, coat short and fine lying close to the body, texture smooth and glossy appearance, rich reed facial markings with ground colour of paler red, body richly coloured with clearly defined ticking.  Lovely temperament.

Head showing slightly rounded wedge without flat planes and medium length, profile shows a gentle contour with a slight rise from the bridge of the nose to the forehead, entire length of nose a uniform width, gently rounded muzzle, firm chin and level bite.  Moderately large ears, broad at the base and pointed, slightly flared with good width between them, set well back on the head , cupped forward and alert, eyes large and shaped like rounded almonds, light green colour. Medium long body, legs medium boned, balanced tail moderately thick, quite plump. Coat very well presented, dense and resilient in texture, pale silver ground colour, underside silvery white, clearly defined black tabby markings on head, body showing random spotting, and showing bands of ticking.

2ND. RES. CERT. W/H. COULTER’S PR. JACOU MARBELLA. 76/20. 030406.

Broad medium wedge with rounded contours, quite small in proportion to body, profile showing gentle curve from forehead to bridge of nose3, nose is large and broad with slightly puffy nose leather, good muzzle full and broad with rounded strong chin, over-shot jaw.  Ears medium size, held rather high on head, eyes very good shape and expression.  Good body shape and condition, medium length legs with strong paws, tail a little short with a pip on the end.  Coat texture dense and soft, clearly defined facial markings, body showing distinct  swirling patches, giving the impression of marble, legs showing broken horizontal lines and a ringed tail, I would like to see a richer colouring.  Sweet nature.

TORTIE & WHITE ADULT FEMALE.

1ST. CC. BOB. THORNBURN ALINDAS TUPPENCE HA’PENNY. 12/1. 220308.

A very young girl showing excellent maturity and lovely condition.   Nicely balanced head, strong rounded scull with neatly placed ears, short broad nose with accentuated break, large nostrils, cheeks well developed, firm chin and rounded muzzle, large eyes showing good colour.  Cobby body, short strong boned legs and balanced tail.  Very good coat texture and presentation, showing minimum colour, head showing black and shades of red, coloured tail, patches of colour on body.  Very sweet temperament.

BLACK SMOKE ADULT MALE.

1ST. W/H. VAN HEUMEN’S HIGHSPOT HENDRIX. 6. 270602.

A mature working boy in overall very good condition, not enjoying his day out at all.  Strong scull, neatly placed ears, well developed cheeks and strong rounded muzzle, short broad nose good break.  Cobby body, strong bone and balanced tail.  Coat not at its best today, showing good contrast, head and legs showing too much tarnishing.  Sweet temperament.

BROWN SPOTTED BENGAL KITTEN. FEMALE.

1ST. BOB. KEARNEY’S CHEYSULI GOLDEN WITCH. 090908.

Overall good head shape, quite small and balanced, medium wedge with rounded contours, profile showing gentle curve from forehead to the bridge of the nose, nose is large and broad with a slightly puffy nose leather, very slight concave curve, muzzle developing, pronounced whisker pads, good bite.  Ears medium size, short with a wide base and rounded tips, oval eyes with nice expression.  Body developing well, good condition, medium length legs, tail a little long at present, I am sure she will grow into it.  Clearly defined facial markings, random spotting on body – the spots are quite small, ringed tail and dark tail tip, good rufus colouring and showing gold dusting.  A very sweet tempered kitten.

Well developed kitten showing nicely balanced head, medium wedge with rounded contours, profile showing gentle curve from the forehead to the bridge of the nose, large broad nose and puffy nose leather, very slight concave curve, muzzle developing, quite a strong chin, level bite.  Ears very large at present, needs time to grow into them, expressive eyes.  Good body shape and condition, rather a long tail at present.  Coat well presented soft to the touch. Well defined facial markings, spotty tummy and striped legs, arrow head spotting and some rosettes, overall colouring quite “cold”, would like to see the richer rufus colouring.  A kitten enjoying her day and happy to be judged.

EGYPTION MAU NEUTER FEMALE.

BOB. CRITIQUE ABOVE.PR. GODAZZLEM ILLYRIA VENUS.
