PRESTON & BLACKPOOL CAT CLUB JUDGE – Mrs. Barbara Prowse 27/3/2010

Thank you to Jacky for the invitation to judge this year. I had a lovely day in the company of Kay Short and we handled some lovely cats and kittens. I was very pleased that my choice for BOV Persian went onto to win overall exhibit. Well done Jean as always he sparkled.

AC PERSIAN IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER

IGRPC MISS T WHITE’S I GR CH & I GR PR MARDIGRAS THECANDY MANCAN (12a7) MN 7/3/05

Cream and White Bi Colour whom I have judged on numerous occasions, my opinion has not changed and there is little else I can say about him, as always he was beautifully presented and is a credit to his caring owner. Excellent size and shape being cobby and standing low on the legs. Large round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose with good break and full leather. Good bite. Full fat cheeks, strong chin. Well prepared full flowing coat. Sparkling white with cream to face, fully coloured tail, cream patch at base of spine and across his shoulders. Coat well prepared. Short tail.

 RES IGRPC MR D SMITH’S GR PR WOOSY UMPH-N-PUFF (6f) MN 30/6/07

Cream Smoke who was unlucky to come up against my winner today. I had to nit pick on the day and it was down to coat in the end as this young man was not in full coat but he is a lovely boy of well balanced Persian type. He is cobby and stands low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose with good break and full leather. Level bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat that is a lovely texture. Body is a pale cream with a creamy white undercoat which extends about the bottom one third of the coat; his guard hairs are about one third as well. Well defined mask that is a deeper shade of cream than the body. Frill and ear tufts are silver. Tail is in proportion to his body

BLUE ADULT

1st CC W/H MRS S PIASECKI’S PURRSRUS TE AMO (3) F 23/12/08

Blue Persian who is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. She is very pretty and nicely balanced for type. Head is round and she has good width between neat well furnished ears. Unable to assess bite as she would not let me look in her mouth, she had obviously got out of bed the wrong side or been upset at the show. Her coat was very well prepared and a lovely texture but unfortunately was very unsound, it looks like her new coat is coming through so hopefully this will right itself soon. Dinky tail.
