Many thanks to Jacky & the team for my invite to judge. Andrew & I always have a ‘mum & son’ weekend for this show – and lucky he was there, as my arranged steward didn’t turn up! So he had another go at trolley wheeling & cleaning.

Imperial Grand Champion Male;

IGCC STEWART’S UK & I GR CH LAZANE ON CLOUD NINE (2a, 8/6/07).

This wonderful Orange Eyed white lad has been a favourite of mine since he was a kitten, so it was a great pleasure to be able to award him the top award today. Excellent balanced type with very good top of head & neat ears. Mid orange eyes of good size & fairly good shape. Very short broad nose. Full cheeks & firm chin. Bite slightly undershot. Very full coat of pristine white which had been groomed to the last hair as ever. He really does look like a cloud on legs! Body fairly cobby & well grown. Short full tail to balance. A super boy!

Reserve IGCC PRIESTLEY’S GR CH SHIMBA EYECATCHER (5, 29/5/07).

I was very sorry not to have had 2 Imperials to award today! I loved this Cream boy and he was so unlucky to meet the winner. Lovely lad of excellent balanced type. Broad top of head with neat ears. Deep copper eyes of good size & shape. Very short broad nose. Full cheeks & firm chin. Almost level bite. Coat slightly short, but well prepared. Lovely pale cream and almost sound. Cobby body. Short full tail. Just lost out today due to fullness of coat – I hope to see him again when he’s in full coat.

IGCC ROGERS’ GR CH MILNUSS ELLIEANNA (70/1, 24/5/07).

Attractive Black Exotic girl of very good type. Good width to head, with fairly neat ears. Huge owl-like eyes of mid copper, excellent shape. Very short broad nose. Good width to cheeks. Level bite. Coat expertly prepared & glossy black, just fractionally shady today. Her coat stands out quite well from her body. Very well grown lass with good cobby frame. Strong legs with good rounded paws. Short tail to balance. Reserve withheld.

2 PRIESTLEY’S GR CH SHIMBA NIGHTONTHETILES (1, 14/6/06).

Sweet Black girl of quite pleasing type. Quite broad top of head with fairly neat ears. Deep copper eyes of good shape – I would prefer them to be slightly larger. Very short broad nose. Fairly good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat quite full & fairly well prepared – just showing some scurf at present. Slightly shady today. Fairly well grown with quite cobby body. Short full tail. I was sorry to withhold on this lass, but I didn’t feel she was Imperial standard today.

Tortie/Chocolate Tortie & White Adult;

Lovely young girl of super balanced type. Excellent top of head with neat ears. Very expressive owl-like eyes of excellent copper. Very short broad nose. Full cheeks & firm chin. Level bite. Excellent coat which was very well prepared. Lovely patching – just like a painting by numbers kit! Rich red & jet black patches. Cute white moustache & white to paws & underneath. All the rest of very is very attractively patched with colours. Cobby body. Short full tail. A really wonderful girl who I loved to bits!

Blue Point Birman Adult Male;

1 CC BOB MLYNEK & HAYWARD’S CH CONANIMA SNOWDRIFT (13c2, 19/3/09).

Impressive lad of excellent balanced type. Super masculine head with medium ears set well. Deep blue eyes of excellent size & shape. His eyes looked a touch round & bold when he first came out, but were much better when he relaxed. Medium nose with good dip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Excellent coat which had been beautifully prepared. Clear bluish white body coat with a very impressive ruff. Mid blue to points. Well matched gloves & socks. Matching tapered gauntlets. Very well grown lad with good muscular body shape. Medium tail, well furnished. Lovely show temperament – a real star!

2 KEEPING’S BAYGAZER MCTAV’S SON (13c2, 23/6/09).

Nicely balanced young lad of good type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Eyes of good size & shape – I would like the blue to be a little deeper. Medium nose showing strong dip & slightly roman. Fairly good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & expertly prepared, just showing slight shading to body. Mid blue to points, just showing slight ghost tabby markings at present. Quite well matched gloves – the right glove just dips slightly. Well matched socks & matching tapered gauntlets. Well grown lad with good body shape. Medium tail, well furnished.

Blue Point Birman Adult Female;

1 CC WATKINS’ KRYSTALTOZE ROHESE (13c2, 15/8/08).

Girl of good type with good width to head & medium ears set well. Mid blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Slightly shady to body. Mid blue to points. Well matched gloves & socks. Matching tapered gauntlets. Well grown lass with good body shape. Medium tail, well furnished.

2 INSTONE’S KITTAH HECUBA (13c2, 16/6/09).

Sweet girl of good type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Mid blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Fairly good width to cheeks. Level bite. Fairly good chin. Coat of quite good length – needing a little more preparation to really sparkle. Almost clear to body. Mid blue to points. Fairly well matched gloves. Well matched socks & matching tapered gauntlets. Fairly well grown with good body shape. Medium tail, well furnished.

Red/Cream/Tortie Group Birman Adult Female;

1 CC BOB POOL’S CH DALTEEMA STARDUST (13c6, 3/6/08).

Very pretty Seal Tortie point girl of excellent balanced type. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Deep blue eyes of excellent size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & expertly prepared. Clear body & showing lovely rich shades of red with mid seal to all points. Well matched gloves & socks. Matching tapered gauntlets. Very well grown body of good shape. Medium tail, well furnished.

Tabby/Tortie Tabby Point Birman Adult Male;

1 CC BOB WARREN’S CH HAMS HILL ROMEO (13c11, 25/4/08).

Seal Tabbypoint lad of good type with excellent balance. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Mid blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Excellent width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared, just slight shading to body. Good dark seal tabby markings to points. Well matched gloves & socks. Matching tapered gauntlets. Very well grown lad. Medium tail well furnished. Rather nervous today.

2 DOBSON’S MAYSULA ADALUSITE (13c11, 25/4/09).

Attractive lad of good type, just a touch adolescent at present. Good width to head with medium ears set well. Deep blue eyes of good size & shape. Medium nose with good dip. Quite good width to cheeks, just a slight whisker pinch at present. Level bite & good chin. Excellent coat of good length which was well prepared. Clear to body & good dark seal tabby markings to all points. Just slight gingering to nose. Well matched gloves & socks. Gauntlets fairly well matched – the left gauntlet has just a slight hook at the end. Very well grown with good body shape. Medium tail, well furnished.

Norwegian Forest Adult Male;

1 CC BOB METCALFE’S CH NORGESKAUKATT ARNOR (67/20, 9/8/08).

Super Brown Tabby lad of lovely type and excellent balance. Very good triangular head shape with ears of good size held well. Expressive green eyes of good size & shape. Straight profile. Level bite & good chin. Coat fairly well prepared & of good length. Showing excellent ruff & knickerbockers. Quite good double coat. Very well grown lad with good length to his body. Long bushy tail to balance.

AC Bi-Colour Ragdoll Adult Female;

1 HASSETT’S CH HAPPYTYME OPHELIA (66/31a, 10/9/08).

Sweet Blue Bi-colour girl of only fair type. Good flat plane to head with medium ears set well. Pale blue eyes of good size, but lacking fullness to the shape & set rather too obliquely. Nose showing break rather than dip. Width to cheeks needs to develop. Level bite. Fairly good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Good white inverted ‘V’ to face with white patch to her back. White to legs to the base of her body & white underneath. Pale bluish white to body & pale blue to points. Well grown girl with good body shape. Long bushy tail to balance.

Blue Burmese Kitten;

1 WILSHAW’S ROSSIKHAN WISHFUL THINKING (27a, 30/6/09).

Attractive and promising girl of good type, just at that awkward transition stage between kitten and adult. Gently rounded head. Ears set well, just slightly large at present – for her to grow into! Mid chartreuse eyes of good size & shape. Nose showing good break, just a hint of a bump. Good width to cheeks. Level bite. Excellent depth to chin. Excellent coat of good satin texture, very close lying. Mid blue shading gently to the roots. Silvering still to fully develop. Excellent muscular body of good size. Medium tail, tapering to rounded tip.

AC Non-Self Persian Adult;

1 SMITH’S CEDARSWAMPS LULU.

Really super Chinchilla girl with lovely type & a very pretty expression. Very broad top of head with fairly neat ears of good size, showing good furnishings. Huge expressive mid blue green eyes of excellent shape, lined well with black. Very short broad nose with mid brick red nose leather, outlined well with black. Full cheeks. Almost level bite. Firm chin. Excellent full coat which had been very well prepared. Clear pristine white with medium black tipping. Just showing slight unevenness towards the base of her spine at present. Very cobby body. Short strong legs with well rounded paws. Short full tail to balance. A very showy girl with a delightful temperament.

Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & expertly prepared with a lovely texture. Mid beige to body with mid seal to all points. Slightly off-set inverted ‘V’ to face. White patches to back. White on legs to base of body. Very well grown lad with excellent body shape. Long bushy tail to balance.

Lovely Blue Bi-colour girl with a very pretty balanced expression. Good flat plane to head with medium ears set well. Mid blue eyes of excellent size & shape. Nose showing slight dip, and slightly retrousse at tip. Good width to cheeks. Level bite & good chin. Well prepared coat of good length. Mid bluish white to body with mid blue to points. Good inverted ‘V’ to face. White patches to back, white on legs to base of body. Well grown girl with good body shape. Long bushy tail to balance.

Lovely Tortie point Birman lass whom I’ve reported on many times before. Looking absolutely stunning today. Definitely back on top form now she’s settled into life as a neuter.

2 HIGHAM’S VESLEMOY COCOA CHLOE.

Tortie Smoke Norwegian Forest lass of quite pleasing type. Her head is a touch narrow, but triangular. Ears of good size set well. Green eyes of good size & shape. Almost straight profile. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Still just a touch soft in texture. Excellent body shape & size. Long bushy tail to balance.

AC Burmese Novice Adult;

1 COULTER’S AYSHAZEN ROCKY BALBOA.

Young Chocolate lad who’s at that really awkward teenage stage, and not really balanced at present. Gently rounded head. Ears of good size, but held rather on top at present. Pale chartreuse eyes of fairly good shape, just a touch small. Nose showing slight break. Lacking width to his cheeks at present. Level bite. Quite good depth to chin. Coat fairly close lying. Mid chocolate, shading gently to the roots. Well grown lad with good muscular body. Slender legs with good oval paws. Medium tail, tapering to rounded tip.

AC Burmese Champion or Grand Champion;

1 WILSON’S CH MAHARANI GENEVIEVE.

Super Lilac girl of excellent balanced type. Gently rounded head with ears of good size held well. Mid chartreuse eyes of excellent size & shape. Nose showing break. Excellent width to cheeks. Level bite. Good chin. Coat of good satin texture & close lying. Mid lilac, shading gently to the roots, just a touch darker along her spine line. Well grown girl with good muscular body. Medium tail, tapering to rounded tip.

2 TWIGGE’S GR CH ROSSIKHAN SWEET BABY JAMES.

Brown lad of good balanced type. Gently rounded head with ears of good size. He was not very happy and was holding them a bit low and tense, but when more relaxed in the pen the set was good. Excellent mid chartreuse eyes of good size & shape. Nose showing break. Good width to cheeks. Level bite. Good depth to chin. Coat of excellent glossy dark seal brown shading gently to the roots. Good satin texture & close lying. Very well grown body with good muscular shape. Medium tail tapering to rounded tip.

Attractive Brown girl of good type. Gently rounded head with ears of good size set well. Expressive mid chartreuse eyes of good size & shape. Nose showing break. Fairly good width to cheeks. Level bite. Good depth to chin. Glossy dark seal brown coat of good satin texture, close lying. Well grown girl with good body shape. Medium tail, tapering to rounded tip.

Blue lad of only fair type. Gently rounded head with medium ears set well. Mid chartreuse eyes of failry good size & shape. Nose showing only slight dip. Rather long in the muzzle. Lacks width to cheeks. Level bite. Fairly good depth to chin. Dark blue coat of good satin texture, close lying. Well grown lad with good muscular body. Medium tail, tapering to rounded tip.
