SCOTTISH CAT CLUB 13 February, 2010. DR BRUCE BENNETT.My thanks to Isabel and Denise for their invitation to this pleasant Show, which I enjoyed thoroughly in the company of my friend Alan Woolley making his first venture into the world of stewarding; he acquitted himself like a seasoned trouper and was a very happy companion as well. I hope that he will steward for me again in the future. NORWEGIAN FOREST KITTEN.1. BoB. NIVEN’S NOREXOTIKATTS BOBBISOK EIVA. 5. (67 31ts) 7mths 2wks.Very pleasing, sedate little lady with a mature, broad, even equilateral wedge surrounded by a profuse ruff, crowned by well spaced ears of proportionate size, flared ever so gently in line with the wedge and showing becoming internal furnishings. Oval shape to her calm amber eyes set slightly obliquely. Profile straight under the brow fur, firm chin with incisors that meet. Firm body with requisite strength of boning, depth of chest and appropriate height of rear limbs. Tail just a little thick at the base, reaches to shoulders. Full silver tabby coat overlaid by soft tortie-ing with woolly undercoat in evidence as are guard hairs over the back and flanks, full profuse tail showing nice rings. Knickerbockers there, as are neat tufts on her smart white paws. ORIENTAL CREAM OR APRICOT ADULT, MALE.1 CC. BoB LINTON’S SIARUNG THEFUTUREIS ORANGE. M. (37fn) 1yr 6mths.Handsome male with an even wedge, sporting large flared ears following its lines; might prefer a smidge more space between. Almond eyes showing good oriental set, olive green. Very good straight profile, chin level, irregular incisors basically meet. Lithe, firm body, elegant limbs, excellent length of tail to balance. Coat slightly long but lies well, soft apricot with richer tints over the back, satisfactorily sound. ORIENTAL SHADED ADULT, FEMALE.BoB. TOSUN’S CH SAITAN MISS TEASE. F. (43b) 1yr 10mths.Lady of most appealing type, with an attractive even equilateral wedge, sporting ears of good size, well placed and flared in line. Piercing orientally shaped and set eyes, olive green shade. Straight profile, level chin and bite. Strong tubular body and limbs, tail balances. Very good rich chestnut tone to her coat that shows terminal banding, undercoat would benefit from slightly clearer definition ideally. ORIENTAL RED NEUTER, MALE.1. PC BoB. COX’S Imp GR PR KHERAF RED HOTSHOT. MN. (37d) 3yrs 9mths.An old friend, looking great as ever. Very strong masculine type, with a long even wedge with large well placed ears set in alignment, inclined oriental eyes of pale olive green. Very good straight profile, chin and bite level. Strong, mature body and limbs, tail length balancing. Excellent rich reds to his close coat, as always the tabby pattern a little prominent. CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE ADULT MALE. 1. CC. BoB. FRENCH’S CH PALMIRA BEAUJANGLES. M (24b) 1yr 5mths.Very handsome individual with a very soft temperament, purred throughout. Very good even wedge, with large ears spaced and flared flatteringly, eyes of good shape and set, good blue. Profile shows a longish forehead, slight angle at the bridge, chin and bite conform. Long, lithe body and limbs, neat bread-making paws, balancing tail. Most attractive, soft chocolate points with good contrast to the ivory body that shows gentle toning shading. LILAC POINT SIAMESE KITTEN, MALE.1. BoB. LAVALETTE’S TREEDANCER BALOO. M. (24c) 6mths 1wk.Handsome well developed lad with a long elegant wedge on which are set large ears, could be a little more spaced for preference but follow its lines well, good oriental eyes of attractive blue. Straight profile, chin and bite level. Very good, well grown body and limbs, neat paws, tail balances. Coat smooth, lies close, points a little dark for lilac, pads pink, excellent clear pale body coat for contrast. TORTIE POINT SIAMESE KITTEN.1. BoB. DENHOLM’S ADNIOAM MEESHA MERRIMOKO. F. (32b8) 8mths 4wks.Very pretty, diminutive lady with an even triangular wedge, ears set well upon it, eyes of good oriental shape, deep blue. Good straight profile, chin level, irregular incisors meet. Neat little body, balanced limbs and tail, dainty paws. Attractive soft caramel points complimented by appropriate soft apricot breaks, gentle body contrast. Shy lass, preferred to peep at the world from the safety of a spot under her blanket. 2. DENHOLM’S PIPISTRELLE PATIENCE. F. (32b2) 5mths 3wks.Basically a most attractive kitten with an even wedge head, super top, large ears well spaced, very straight profile, strong chin, level bite. Eyes of good blue tend to be a little prominent and unbalance the overall picture a tad. Well grown body matching limbs and paws, tail balances, tiny terminal expansion. Chocolate points a little dark, pale breaks, good contrast to ivory body. APRICOT POINT SIAMESE NEUTER, MALE.1. PC. BoB. GEDDES’ FLUTTERBY SIRPURRSALOT. (32fn) MN 1yr 10mths.Very lovely lad, though language unnecessarily colourful. Beautiful long, even wedge head, super breadth at the top between large ears flared precisely in line. Excellent eye shape and set, good blue shade. Splendid straight profile, chin lines up, irregular incisors meet. Long firm body, slender limbs, neat paws, balancing whiptail. Points soft in shade, lovely pale clear body to contrast. TORTIE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER.1. PC. BoB. LINTON’S Imp GR CH & GR PR FIORDILISO APRIL SHOWERS. .Rather a grande dame as usual. Described in full only a few weeks ago. Splendid as ever and demanding respect appropriate to the grandeur. AC MAINE COON, NORWEGIAN FOREST OR SIBERIAN BREEDERS ADULT.1. DELANEY’S COONTIPS PRINCESS LOLA. F. (64 41) 1yr 3mths.A most handsome lady, head very well proportioned , strongly defined with breadth and strength, but retaining feminine grace; muzzle squared, chin aligned, good cheek bones, pleasing curve from brow to nose leather, bite meets. Eyes bold, set slightly oblique as required, amber green in tone, super large ears set tall and upright, with beautiful terminal tufts and internal furnishings. Body very well developed, long and strongly muscled. Sturdy limbs, large tufted paws, excellent long tail. Coat of quite excellent condition, profuse with glossy topcoat, required undercoat and breeches. Pattern very well defined in general with very clear definition of the tabby tracings on mask and over nape, excellent oysters against a warm background, tail ringing could be clearer. 2. KILMARTIN’S NITERAP MARMAZETTE. F. (64 41sw).11mths 2wksA very smart lady whom I have admired in the past, with a strong wedge, high cheekbones and squared off muzzle, ears spaced and standing tall, internally feathered and well tufted tips; full gold eyes, required slightly oblique aperture. Pleasing concave curve to the nose in profile, chin lines up, bite meets. Strong lengthy, rectangular body, neck a little slender giving a hint of adolescent gangliness remaining, proportionate limbs and paws and very good length of tail. Striking shining top coat with substantial undercoat, brilliant white paws and tummy with silver tabby on the body lending a beautiful ethereal quality. Breeches and paw tufts in evidence. Should be truly formidable when fully mature. 3. WRIGHT’S POWERKATZ EVOLUTION. M. (64 41sw) 1yr 2mths.Massive youth of good type, head very strongly boned with breadth at the cheeks and between ears that stand almost upright, tiny terminal tufts; square muzzle outline, eyes of almond shape, needing to be a little rounder, correct slightly oblique set, a gold cast to their tone. Good shallow curve to the profile, well aligned chin, level bite. Huge rectangular body, massive limbs and paws, excellent length of tail to balance. Coat on body just marginally shorter than desired at present but over and undercoats differentiated, texture good, tail well furnished. Tabby tracings softly washed in over the face, crown and nape, oysters also softly outlined, blurred tail rings, crisp leg bars, white areas pristine. . x3 HUNTER’S CALEYCOON LOGAN’S RUN. M. (64 41f) 1yr 7mths.Another immense gentleman of good type. Head of length and strength, good square muzzle, high cheekbones, ears well spaced and set tall and upright with tufting and feathering. Eyes pale amber, good size, showing a gentle incline. Nicely concave profile, chin and bite level. Body huge with breadth of chest and rectangular outline, proportionate substantial limbs, large feathered paws, tail needs a little length to balance length of body. Coat of mid length, over and undercoats evident, ruff and breeches there, soft cream tabby pattern fairly clearly defined AC MAINE COON, NORWEGIAN FOREST OR SIBERIAN NON-BREEDERS KITTEN.1. FLETCHER’S DRAGONMAINE FIRETHROAT. M. (64 41d) 6mths 1wk.Big lad, well developed. Typical wedge, with breadth at the well developed cheekbones and good length for age, muzzle of appropriately square outline. Good bold eyes, aperture obliquely inclined, ears large and standing tall with good spacing, feathering and tufting developing. Good convexity to the profile from brow to nose, very strong chin, incisors meet well nevertheless. Well developed body with an almost adult rectangular shape to it already, powerful limbs, large paws with tufts on the way, balancing length of tail. Coat of good quality, overcoat with glossy bright red classic pattern well developed and outlined clearly, though the spine is still solid at present. . 2. GARDNER’S LIONMAINE FELLPURRS SASHA. F. (64 41esw) 4mths.Little lady of good type, with a good broad head, length developing well, outlined square muzzle, ears spaced and high, open and of good size, already showing little tufts, bold eyes of gold. Gently curved profile as desired, chin and bite level. Strong little body, firm limbs, sizeable paws, hints of tufts, excellent length of tail. Coat well on the way, guard hairs already in evidence over the undercoat on the back and flanks, curly tummy, breeches starting; attractive silver tabby pattern well developed, splashed with pale reds here and there, all contrasting with bright white areas 3. McGEACHY’S SHAWCOON FANTASIA’S FALKOR. M. (64 41sw) 4mths 1wk.Similar age to the above with a neat head, muzzle shape appearing, though less developed than Sasha’s. Bold amber eyes just inclined, sizeable ears set up well, skull domed between. Profile shows a little dip beneath the brow to the muzzle, chin aligned, incisors meet. Neat body with matching limbs, tail just long enough. Soft silver tabby and white coat, though pattern could be mackerel rather than classic, guard hairs beginning to push through the undercoat that still has kittenish softness. AC MAINE COON, NORWEGIAN FOREST OR SIBERIAN NON-BREEDERS NEUTER.1. McGURK’S GR PR DOTCOM IMONFIRE. MN. (64 44dw) 2yrs 4mths.Very striking mature gentleman with a massive head, well developed cheeks and squared muzzle, ears tufted and feathered, set well apart and standing tall, open rounded eyes, aperture a little inclined as desired. Appropriately curved profile from brow to nose, chin lines up, bite meets. Body very large and muscular, strength of neck there, powerful limbs, large tufted paws. Coat of excellent quality, bright glossy reds to the guard hairs of the tabby patterned areas, striking contrast to the white paws and other white areas. Very handsome and rather rude. 2. BLACK’S WEESAMS KINNINVIE. FN. (67 20). 2yrs 8mths.Attractive little brown tabby Norwegian lady, with a good even triangular wedge, ears of medium large size, spaced and open, following the lines of the wedge well. Oval eyes set on the incline. Profile straight, firm chin, bite level. Strong compact body, proportionate limbs, tail just long enough, reaching to shoulder blades. Profuse coat, medium length, woolly undercoat and well differentiated overcoat ; well furnished tail, ears tufty with appropriate internal furnishings, little paw tufts; medium ruff and knickerbockers developed. x2. DAVIE’S PR YAHESKA AVALANCHE MN. (64 14c) 3yrs 3mths.Large mature white male, rather bored and fed up with it all. Very well boned head with appropriate breadth to length ratio, large tall well spaced ears that he tended to bonnet a bit, to show his disapproval I think. Large open eyes, gentle incline to their aperture, pale green shade. Profile shows required gentle curve, tiny rise just above nose, strong chin, bite just a smidge under. Large, strong, rectangular body with depth to the chest, substantial limbs and long tail to match. Profuse white coat of good length, top and undercoats both there but as both pristine white distinction not very obvious. Ruff, breeches, paw and tufts and internal ear feathers all present to various degrees. 3. DAVIDSON’S SUVICOON BLUEBERRY MUFFIN. FN (64 20g) 3yrs 5mths.Mature girl with a medium head, the muzzle ideally needing a little more clear definition. Ears could be a little larger and she tends to turn them out. Eye set is oblique, their tone olive. Gently curved profile, chin lines up, bite level. Medium sized body, firmly muscled, strong limbs, tail in keeping. Coat of length and good texture, discrete over and woolly undercoat, with ear tufts and feathers, paw tufts, breeches and full tail. Colour a pleasing blue well broken by quite warm reds. Unfortunately there is a mass of considerable size in the bikini and groin area just to the right of the midline, thought by the vet to be not a hernia as I suspected, but possibly a lipoma. AC SIAMESE/ BALINESE NON-BREEDERS ADULT.1. BROWN’S FISEPO THISLEWAY-AURORA. F. (32t8) 1yr 2mths.Very pretty lady with an even wedge head, sporting well set and flared ears of good size, oriental eyes of good blue shade, dreamy expression. Good, gently arching profile, chin aligned, bite meets. Graceful neck, body long and slender, balancing limbs and tail. Close coat shows lovely soft lilac based caramel points, broken by soft warm shades, contrasting to the almost clear body that shows just a hint of shading. 2. SHAND’S Imp GR CH ANDALYN AMADEUS. M. (24) 3yrs 8mths.Stately mature male with a distinguished history who didn’t seem to be enjoying his day out. Wedge of length showing a little muzzle pinch, very good top with large ears showing very good spacing and flare. Attractive oriental shape and incline to his eyes of good blue, wary and suspiciousexpression. Good slightly convex profile, chin OK, lower incisors missing now. Body of mid size, matching limbs tail length good. Dense dark points, body now darkly shaded. Edgy and not inclined to do himself justice, I’m afraid. AC BREED 24 ADULT.1. FRASER’S SERAPIS FREESPIRIT. M. (24) 1yr 6mths.Smart lad of good basic type. Wedge a little short, tiny pinch, ears of good spacing and attractive flare to enhance it, eyes tending to be rather open, very good blue shade. Profile shows a minor dish below the bridge, chin and bite level. Body long and strong, limbs and tail match. Dark points, rather darkly shaded body, but some contrast. AC BREED 32 ADULT.1. Medium length, even wedge on which large open ears are spaced and flared in line. Eyes of excellent oriental shape and very good blue tone. Very good straight profile, very firm chin, bite just a tad under. Body and limbs graceful and slender, perhaps a little small, appropriate to youth, tail balances. Excellent coat for texture, very smart seal tabby patterning on mask and limbs, good tail rings, pleasing contrast. 3. FRASER’S TREEDANCER NA TOTH. F. Quite a nice wedge, little pinch, well flared large ears, oriental eyes a little open, good green shade. Profile shows a slight dent at the bridge. Chin lines up, excellent bite. Slender wriggly body, long spidery limbs, balancing tail. Typical close, sound black coat, shining like silk. AV ORIENTAL/SIAMESE/BALINESE RADIUS ADULT. .1. FRENCH’S CH PALMIRA BEAUJANGLES. M (24b) 1yr 5mths. .2. HAMILTON’S CH ADVISH WISTFUL WILLOW. F. (37k) 4yrs 3mths.Attractive lady, grumbling gently today. Medium length wedge head, slightly blunt at the muzzle with whisker pads slightly puffed, ears of size, spaced and flared in line, eyes marginally full, basic shape good, clear green. Profile shows a little dip at the bridge, chin lines up, uneven incisors meet. Body firm and mature, limbs and tail in keeping. Smooth coat shows a pleasing, even, almost sound cinnamon. AV SIAMESE/BALINESE NOVICE KITTEN.1. HETHERINGTON’S SIMPLISIAM CIDER WITH ROSY. F. (24) 6mths 2wks.A most lovely kitten with an elegant wedge, broad at the top between large flaring ears, tiny kitten pinch evident. Eye shape oriental, blue might be a little deeper but quite acceptable. Very good straight profile, chin and bite line up well. Graceful neckline, slender body with limbs and tail to match. Good seal points with very good contrast to the close, fine body coat that is a most pleasing warm fawn as desired. 2. DENHOLM’S PIPISTRELLE PATIENCE. F. (32b2) 5mths 3wks.3. CHIVERS’ DEDANNAN TREASURE ME. M. (37n). 8mths 2wks.AV ORIENTAL/ SIAMESE VISITORS KITTEN.1. BRUNO-GREIVE’S FLUTTERBY CONQUISTADOR. M. (24b) 8mths 1dy.A most elegant boy with an even, equilateral wedge head, very good topline with widely spaced flaring ears, attractive shape and flare to his oriental eyes of good blue; muzzle needs to develop just a little more mature strength to match all this splendour above. Stunning, gently arched profile, with muzzle of depth, level chin and bite. Strong lengthy firm body, matched by limbs and tail . Good clear ivory to his close lying body coat with mid chocolate points marginally darker on the mask. Later best Siamese and ultimately Best Exhibit, Congratulations. 2. DYKES’ MAZPAHS REBEL ROY. M. (48b) 7mths 3wks.Very well grown individual who could easily now hold his own in an adult class. Long wedge with a slight pinch to it, large ears set in line, would prefer just a little more space between, oriental slant to eyes of olive green shade. Very good gently convex profile, chin slopes a little, incisors meet. Huge body of excellent length, matching limbs and tail in proportion. Sleek coat shows chocolate of the darkest shade I have yet seen in a bicolour, clear white in sufficient quantity over the critical third proportion, present on mask and all limbs and continuous down tummy as desired, coloured areas sound but show some invasion by the white around the peripheries though the centres of these areas are solid as required. 3. MN (29) 3yrs 9mths.A dear old friend of very good head and body type and very good soft chestnut colour but with areas of depigmentation on nose and pads and with a bare area over his lower back attributed to stress of moving home recently.
